Incompetent attorneys. They will drag on your case for years without resolution. Huge waste of money.

The Law Office of Raymond Mutchler

I have retained over 4 attorneys in the past, and I feel that my opinion of Mr. Mutchler holds some credibility. I currently have 2 other attorneys on retainer right now. Raymond is not the type of attorney that makes you feel like he is "Nickle and Diming you". His method of billing for his services is reasonable. And within reason, he will be supportive and helpful with communication here and there and it won't be guaranteed to be on the invoice. But typical lawyer fees should be expected, his time is valuable. However, for example, a friend of mine currently has an attorney that if you email him and ask a question regarding a letter that was already paid for, my friend will get billed for that question. Literally one question regarding a document that he paid for could not be asked without receiving an additional invoice. Another example is one attorney I have had in the past was very poor with communication, but extremely competent in the court room. A very powerful attorney to have in your corner, but sometimes you have to send him more than one email with a question because he wouldn't always reply, ever, not just in a timely fashion. That is not Raymond, he is very attentive with communication. Another attorney I had would repeat themselves a lot while billing me for every second of the conversation. It was very annoying because when you are paying an attorney by the minute for a verbal conversation, the last thing you want is for the conversation to go around in circles. He would also forget that he had already told me about something and repeat it to me. That is not Raymond. While he may have a short pause to contemplate something you asked him, he is generally efficient with getting his advice to you without running out the timer. Raymond is also nice, I have had attorneys that are nice too, but try to rush you off the phone or have a tone in their voice like they don't like talking to you. Not Raymond. He gives off genuine vibes despite it being work for him, you feel like a friend is talking to you. Knowledge wise, Raymond has taken the time to review a lease and find faults with it that was inherited by the acquisition of a duplex and it was drafted by a prominent, successful property management group. He identified that the lease was following outdated laws and verbiage with a buy-out clause that was not as clear as it should ideally be. Raymond also gave me advice for a lease I needed for my rental property that at the end of the day, saved me money and avoided paying him a lot for it. That was something that he did which keeps me coming back to him for my investment properties. He is in it for the well being of his clients, not just the money. Raymond Mutchler is knowledgeable, personable and reasonable. And he follows the concept that has long term benefits from taking care of his clients, instead of some professionals that focus on the short term benefits of getting as much money as possible from a client but will likely cause them to not be a repeat customer. Unlike one attorney I interviewed that offered to charge me $1,300 to file a LLC application that takes 30 minutes. Just filing, not writing!

When I called the office today I found out he put my number in a "do not call database" to make it seem as if his number is disconnected. Waste of time.

Don't understand the low stars for this firm…read more Cory Rein is an excellent attorney. He is handling a family member's case. He was referred to us with the recommendation that Cory does not overload himself with cases, he prefers to dig in and get to know his clients cases thoroughly, completely. I have to say that so far--that is exactly what is happening. Cory is incredible, and so is his gifted Paralegal Jill Jenkins (Hi Jill!). Jill is Very responsive. Both of them are very organized. In court, I have never seen an attorney more prepared. He had a binder with tabs to cover any single thing that opposing counsel mentioned, no fumbling or looking for things, no ahhs or umms. He is VERY prepared in court. It's obvious he is totally at home speaking in court, he's a very experienced and effective litigator. No BS, no wasted words, and Cory *completely* out-lawyered opposing counsel at every turn--so far. If you have a case unlikely to settle, Cory is the type of attorney you dream of finding. Thank God we were referred to him, and he agreed to take the case. Cory is our third and last attorney, we have an extremely high-conflict case, and he's managing it with ease, whereas the last one absolutely could not deal, even after being warned. Cory is unrattled, has no problem calling things out, being an aggressive advocate when warranted, firing off a letter in 15 minutes getting action(!), and gently pulling back when it's not in the case's best interest. Jill has a great sense of humor about it all, so refreshing. Jill also writes very powerful Declarations out of "word salad," so gifted. The best part about Cory is he literally takes the Reins (pun intended) and takes action, he plans for all outcomes, and he is not afraid to use the law and courts, none of this "lets not rattle the cage" bs. --Yes, please, I want to rattle the cage, I'm sick of being nice, I'm done *taking it* and I'm ready to dish it out.-- Cory is your man. He is several steps ahead, bringing forward strategies and motions while we are still processing what just happened--Cory is halfway to the next goalpost. He has really really great timing, and so far, has not missed a single trick. ;-) We have an ongoing case so I can't elaborate on specifics.
