When I was finally taken back to the exam room the LPN (or whatever she was) pretended to take my blood pressure (I know for a fact she did not inflate the cuff enough). When Dr. Cotter finally came into see me he asked why I was there, which seemed strange. I was there for a colposcopy (a biopsy procedure). Dr. Cotter didn't explain anything about the procedure before he began. He was talking to the blood pressure faker the entire procedure, and when he was finished he was about to leave without even telling me how and when I can expect the results. And I was not given any post procedure instructions. I am not a very judgmental person and I understand that providers have off days, but this was ridiculous! I felt like I was just a procedure to be performed and not a person. I will definitely not be coming back to this ob/gyn practice!

I scheduled an appointment with this practice because it was close to my home and I figured since they were affiliated with UF it would be good. To start off, it took about three weeks for an open appointment. They told me to arrive about 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork on the day of my appointment. My appointment time was the first one of the morning, but following instructions, I arrived early. I went to open the door and it was locked. No one was there. I waited for 15 minutes and someone finally came to open the door. What was the point of telling me to come early if they keep the door locked until the minute they officially open?! So I fill out my paperwork and wait and wait..and wait a little more. Shocking since I was the first appointment of the day. I'm finally in an exam room, the nurse takes my vitals and then I wait for the doctor. I had a couple things I wanted to discuss since I had not visited a family physician for a while. The doctor comes in and we start talking about my questions/concerns. She stops me and says "One thing at a time, we can't cover everything today". I absolutely did NOT have a lengthy list or anything major to discuss! Talking a few minutes longer she is almost positive that I'm pregnant and wants me to do a urine test. I knew there was absolutely no way I was pregnant, but I said whatever and peed in a cup. Guess what, I wasn't pregnant. After 15 minutes of accomplishing nothing, she orders a bunch of labs, which I was sent to Quest to have done a few days later. Here is where things get crazy. I received a voicemail from the nurse rattling off the results of my labs in technical terms. At the end of the voicemail she says I am being referred to UF Hematology/Oncology and they will be calling me to schedule an appointment! I am not a medical professional, so I had no idea what the results she rattled off meant and I was terrified to hear that I was being referred to an oncologist (doctor specializing in cancer). That is not something you leave on a voicemail message. I quickly call the office and ask to speak to the doctor. They would not let me speak to the doctor, but had the nurse call me back. She went a little more in depth about the results, but I still didn't really understand what the heck was going on. Hematology/Oncology called and the first appointment was a month out, which I was freaking out about. I needed answers. I called UF physicians to schedule a follow up visit so I could ask her to re test everything in the meantime just to make sure there wasn't a mistake. Her response was no and that hematology would run their own tests at my upcoming visit. I thought this was absurd, just order another round of labs to confirm the results. For one month I was extremely stressed out and terrified that I had something seriously wrong. When I finally went to my appointment with the specialist, it turned out to be a lab error. All of my stress and anxiety could have been prevented if the doctor would have re tested like I had requested. Avoid this practice like the plague.

What a relief after years of misdiagnoses from other less qualified podiatrists. I was seen quickly. I was not pushed with pricey solutions and the follow up has been impeccable. She is a master diagnostician and has great knowledge and care. She took time to explain and educate me in addition to finally getting this lingering toe fungus to go away. I would highly recommend Dr Teller for your podiatry care. Rare to find such great care attention to detail great communication with patients and results! The team is A plus.

I'm a high risk patient and she understood my concerns for why I was high risk. My pregnancy ended in miscarriage and she did my surgery for D&C she is awesome at what she does. She cares. I got pregnant again last September I went back to her cause we really like her and she's knows my history with previous pregnancy. She prescribed meds to help me with my pregnancy she also did the surgery for a TVC(TransVaginalCerclage) at 12 weeks. My whole pregnancy I was high risk placed on bed rest at 21 weeks due to failing TVC. Dr. Delker said I would make it to 30 weeks. Well I didn't my baby was born at 24 weeks 5 days. Nothing could stop it my TVC failed to hold my baby in to term. I was sent to shands due to my baby coming so early. I lost my son after 21 days in the NICU. I called Dr. Delkers office to see if she would see me for my postpartum apt. Of course she did cause she's the best. At my apt on 4/18/18 we discussed that if I ever get pregnant again I would need a TAC(TransAbdominal Cerclage) she was honest and said she doesn't perform that surgery but there are doctors at shands who can and does. she didn't hesitate to get a referral to shands so I could have a consult with doctors who perform the surgery. I believe awesome doctors need to be recognized. She didn't have to be my OB but she chose to be. She has awesome nurses who work with her also. They are caring. There's a couple members of the office staff who are less than impressive (I was incorrectly billed once and when I went in, in person, to speak with them about the error, the girl I spoke to looked at me as if I was speaking Klingon: if you work in medical billing, you should be able to read a medical bill, sorry) however, the medical staff from Dr. Diane Walker and Dr. Husband to the nurses, is superb. Dr. Martin, a physician who used to practice here but left for a primary care practice in Ocala, was also great--I've even considered switching over to him as my own primary care despite that he's now 45 minutes away: he was simply that good.

When I went to her with my struggles of finding the right birth control and side effects from the usual options, she went out of her way, DURING the appointment, to do a bit more research on what might work best to help my painful periods, not cause massive mood swings or cystic acne. She went over several options with me and I eventually opted for the Nexplanon implant, which was the best birth control I've ever had. I discovered her during my later college years, and she may not realize but her genuine encouragement and belief in the simple idea that empowered women can change the world ALONG with her obvious but never arrogant master of her field, has left her in the "women I admire" category. She really helped me deal with my abnormal results and the horrible procedures that ensue (Colposcopy and LEEP) and came back to check on me after the procedure made me lightheaded and I had to stay an extra 30 minutes (or however long), even with a full schedule.
