They took a nightmare of a situation and went above and beyond to make it a dream. From the very beginning, Megan and Rachel took on the project with confidence, humor, and professionalism. While Megan and Rachel are wizards at design and listening to client's personal styles, it is important to note that their services go beyond simple aesthetics. They were incredibly involved with the physical design of the space, which included frequent communication with our construction company and subcontractors, ensuring that everything was accomplished according to the plan. This included but was not limited to: designing lighting plans; meticulously designing and measuring cabinetry, and then working with the cabinet maker and subs to ensure a correct fit; swooping in to fix address all the issues, from fixture placements to counter heights to wall lengths. Their attention to detail along the way was truly astounding and their knowledge of home workmanship is unmatched. There was never a problem they couldn't fix or an issue that they couldn't untangle. I know without a doubt that our project would not be as amazing as it is without them. Fox and Fern is an amazing team and I cannot wait until I have another project so I can work with them again. They are the absolute best and would highly recommend their services.

However, we assumed that Stephanie would provide us with an overview of the process with timelines and what to expect in order to work with our move-in goals. She never provided any sense of targets or timelines, which left us unsure how things worked, when we were supposed to reach out to her, and when we should expect to receive mock ups of designs/options. There was overall really poor communication and we tried to address this. Eventually, at some point, she decided that we were not a good fit as client and designer and even mentioned she had a feeling this would not work the moment she stepped into our home originally. In that case, we wish she would have told us that earlier instead of bringing us on somewhat of an emotional rollercoaster. We later got some very harsh and cold emails from Kami accusing us of sending bad checks, when in reality, our materials had gotten mixed up as we were moving, and would have been able to rectify things if they had communicated properly with us when we first sent over the payments. Honestly, just looking at the way she responds to comments on Yelp (in addition to her communication over email) shows how she lacks professionalism and basic empathy. Perhaps, we just had a bad experience, but I'm honestly not sure if this is a super friendly business for people of color, particularly with a desire to integrate some of their cultural elements into the design, or for people new to the interior design process.

When she did finally show up was told she would get back to us by email in about a week with more information about the project and never heard back from her. If you're an adult with a business you would think one would have the decency to at least get back to a potential client and let them know she wouldn't be able to work with you. I found her flaky and her actions were adolescent.

She listened to my ideas and gave me great feedback as well as worked within my budget. She and her team were able to coordinate with our builder and even came up with some changes to the plans that worked even better. Allsion has a great sense of style and color. She managed to turn our home into a cozy and elegant space that reflected the style I requested. She chose the furniture, accessories, appliances, lighting, rugs, knobs, bathroom accessories and other items that matched the theme and mood I wanted. She also added some personal touches, such as a framed print I loved and photos of my husband and me. I would highly recommend Allison to anyone looking for an interior designer. She is talented, reliable, and easy to work and did I mention a dynamite personality. She has a portfolio of her previous work on her website, where you can also find her contact information. Allison and her team made it very easy to envision, plan, and execute our design. Allison and her team were very communicative and easy to work with, finding times that fit with our busy schedule, and keeping us up to date on all the logistics that we needed to know about while behind the scenes doing all the tedious things we can't manage ourselves. They found us amazing furniture but also came in and used our existing extensive art collection to make our house a stunning show piece that I keep walking through, feeling like I'm on a design show. We love bold, rich colors and bohemian accents, and lots of them, so it can easily feel cluttered, but Allison and the team helped us find a way to showcase our pieces and still feel clean and homey. Bonus points: they came in and installed the furniture while we were away on a vacation, so we came home to a magazine-perfect home, and it was so exciting! I couldn't be happier!

Here's how it felt to me: - Luxurious Setting: The store is elegantly designed with carefully curated furniture pieces. Soft lighting highlights the fine details of beautifully crafted tables, plush sofas, and intricate decor. - Aesthetic Appeal: The ambiance is inviting and serene, with well-thought-out displays that make you imagine how the furniture would look in your home. - Indifferent Staff: Salespeople are present, but they seem preoccupied. They were quietly chatting among themselves, paying little attention to customers. The contrast of Beautiful vs. Unwelcoming was striking. The juxtaposition of the store's luxurious, inviting decor with the indifferent, almost cold demeanor of the staff creates an unsettling contrast. Weird vibe here. I left without making a purchase. I do want to point out that the City Home store on 1101 SE 3rd Ave. inPortland doesn't share this vibe. I'll just go there next time.

All this to say, I started my search for a designer with a dream for my space, but also with a heavy heart and a substantial amount of dread. I discovered Space Reimagined through a Google search and was immediately drawn to the professionalism of the website and the beautiful project photos. Jackie returned my call to inquire the same day, and put me at east right away with her friendliness, competence, and confidence. After a lovely a phone conversation, followed by a visit to my home to tour the space, I knew in my heart that I'd lucked into something wonderful. From literally day one through the final walk-through, Jackie made me feel completely taken care of. Her knowledge of the industry, exemplary taste, and deep commitment to my comfort with every decision never wavered. She truly listened to me, spent countless hours talking me through each step, and continuously impressed me with her ability to keep straight the countless details a full-house remodel entails. Jackie's communication skills are exemplary. She provided me with updates almost every day and held fast to the timeline she set early on. Throughout the several months we worked together, there was never a challenge that arose that Jackie wasn't right on top of. Projects of this size inevitably have their twists and turns, but Jackie was always one step ahead with a solution (sometimes more than one!) Throughout the project, Jackie remained incredibly accessible. She made time for my questions and ensured that I had I had all the information needed to inform each decision. I could go on and on, but the end result is that I am overjoyed with my newly remodeled home and truly feel that discovering Space Reimagined was the best thing to happen to me in 2023. I would recommend Jackie without reservation to anyone considering a project of any size, and (almost) feel sad my home is complete, because it means my time with Jackie is over! If you are remotely on the fence with the decision of who to go with for your home, let this be your sign. Jackie is wonderful, and I can not sing her praises highly enough.
