I don't typically leave ratings, but this place deserves to get rated so others can avoid. Consistently the worst customer service I've ever received. Most times the cashiers are on their phones playing music or on a phone call. They won't turn it off even if they're receiving clothes to be dry cleaned. I always leave feeling like an inconvenience for bringing my business to them. They say that their hours are 7am to 7pm. Recently I went to drop off my clothes at 8:50am and the doors were locked. I came back later that afternoon and was told the delay in opening was because of bad traffic. No apology or anything. I live walking distance from this location and would rather go out of my way to get my dry cleaning done. This place has been so consistently bad that I will no longer visit. I would highly advise others do the same. read more

So, I just moved to east town and it seems like for all cleaners in the area there's an abundance of negative comments? I did some price shopping and found that Carriage Cleaners has the best Men's Laundered Shirt price (under $2 for 3 day service), so I took the plunge. I've been going to them for a month now and here's the skinny: - This review is only referring to laundered/pressed men's shirts (not dry cleaning or alterations) - They staff isn't overly bubbly, but still friendly. - My shirts have consistently come back without any starch shine (I was having that problem at my last place) and are nicely pressed. - Their hours of service are convenient. - I recommend! My next steps: look into their VIP / bag service for frequent customers. read more

Walked in over the lunch hour today since this is close to work for me... and the representative was not friendly. She asked for my phone number and just stared at me when I mentioned it was my first time. Again asked for my number. I said I was new and needed to register. "I am waiting for your phone number". Just very rude. So with that said I took my things and will go to my friendly neighborhood cleaner. read more

Having a comforter and blanket dry cleaned set me back $45, which was unexpectedly high but I don't get these items dry cleaned all that often so the price wasn't by itself a deterrent. I was told it would take one week, and when I asked if they had any type of faster service (I would have paid more for a quicker turnaround), I was told no. One week later, I came back with the receipt they told me to bring and they said it would be *another* week. No explanation, just "come back in another week." Before I could even ask for more information, the employee just walked away into the back room. When I arrive in another week, my comforter and blanket are actually ready. But when I take them home and remove the plastic covers, there is a completely overwhelming chemical smell and the fabric is incredibly scratchy. $45 and two weeks later, my blanket and comforter were way worse off than before I started. I normally wouldn't give a 1 star review after going someplace only once, but this place is seriously that bad. There are plenty of good dry cleaners in the area; this place isn't one of them. read more

I have been going to Brown Deer location for years now., This is what happened about an hour ago, the employee Brianna had clothes all over the counter,so I asked if I can put my bag of clothes there, she said I have no where to put the clothes she had lying on the counter, so I said okay I'll put my bag of clothes on the floor then, she said you don't have to be rude, I say why it is rude to put my bag of clothes on the floor, while I am waiting for you to help me, she said you can hold the bag in your hand, I had 12 pieces plus hangers to return, I said it is heavy, so I put it on the floor, she said you can leave and got belligerent, so I did and called the corporate office, who never answers or return your calls from my past experience. This Carriage Cleaners always had trouble finding the right help, I was told by one of their employee, because they don't provide benefits. Al H. read more

This place is the worst. I had my clothes successfully cleaned here once last year, but was treated rudely by the employee working. I chose to come back because it's conveniently located. The neon sign shines "open" but when I tried to open the door at 2 in the afternoon, it was locked. There was a sign that said "lunch break be back in an hour." Oh, okay. So I went back this morning - "open" sign was on again. This time the hand written sign next to the locked door says "bathroom break, be back in 10." Must have had a big breakfast. So I go to Starbucks next door to pass time. I walk out ten minutes later and the ONLY employee of the cleaners is putting up ANOTHER handwritten sign and walking out the front door with a friend. So great. Fantastic. Is this place ever truly open for business? read more

Ruined 3 of my husband's dress shirts and no compensation for them. The worst cleaners and can totally see why they are out of business. They don't deserve any stars!!! read more

This place is literally right down the road from me and next to the Starbucks I go to literally every day. I just needed some sweaters dry cleaned after a trip, I dropped them off on a Sunday and was able to pick them up on a Wednesday. Sweaters we're neat and wrinkle free. For 2 sweaters dry cleaned it was only $12. Not a bad deal at all. Will definitely make this my stop for dry clean only pieces. :) read more

I have tried this location a couple times. Each time the person working the desk obviously didn't want to work there. Not specifically rude but short blunt and to the point with no eye contact. I have had to repeat my request because of not listening. Makes me wonder how they treat their people if they all act this bad. 2 stars because the clothes got clean but not going back because of the service. read more

Customer Service is great, what I have an issue with is: If a customer wants wash & press ONLY!! Than that's all they want but the dry cleaning facility decide to change the customer request and charge more because they decided to make the change and do a dry cleaning on a shirt that's doesn't have any special needs. So now I will need to go to another place to take my work shirts.....But I do want to give a shout out to the employees at the Carriage Cleaners @ 1337 W. Oklahoma Ave!!! NOW I want to give them a 5-STAR rating.....THEY ROCK AND DESERVE A RAISE$$$$$ read more

Avoid this business. The staff person who works there is beyond rude and has no sense of what customer service means. She is often on her cell phone and appears to be completely bothered by customers. This has got to be the worst cleaners that I have ever been to. Take your money elsewhere. read more

Pros: Nice hours, I have stopped by both before and after work on various occasions Clothing always comes back clean, pressed...just as I would expect Cons: Pricing - there are no listed prices: nothing on the website, nothing in store. Even my receipt only contained a final total. Granted, I could have asked upfront or requested an itemized receipt, but I didn't. I've never been a fan of hidden pricing. Staff is pleasant enough, but don't expect to be greeted with a genuine smile. Overall: I have continued to return because it's close to my apartment and my clothes are clean, but I am shopping around this time. read more

Dropped off a blazer on Wednesday, my pickup time was Friday at 3. Came to pick it up Saturday morning, they didn't have it. Said it was still at the warehouse and they are closed on Saturday so they couldn't do anything. I needed this blazer for a job interview on Monday so I'm screwed, have to buy a new blazer. They said I will still have to pay full price and refused to discount my order or do anything to help. Worst customer service experience of my life. I'm afraid they lost my $150 jacket and I'll never get it back. Go anywhere but here. Employees were extremely rude and I was there for 30 min and didn't even get served for 15. read more

The absolute worst cleaners in town! I would bring my rags to this operation! Poor customer service and met with profanity from the attendant! read more

It feels like I'm bothering them when I bring in laundry. I gotta find a new dry cleaner.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! Have gone here for 4 years and gave them approximately $1,000/year but today was the last straw. I went to pick up cleaning and all the lights were on, clothes on counter, neon sign blazing "OPEN" and the door was locked--no note on door. Not the first time this has ever happened. Got a coffee and came back and waited another 25 minutes while calling the company Twice. Came back over an hour later....someone was in the store but wouldn't let me in to retrieve cleaning. Said I had to come back in 15 minutes. Came back to finally retrieve clothes....It took 3 trips and 2 hours to retrieve my clothes. NEVER, EVER, EVER GO TO CARRIAGE CLEANERS!!!! read more

Stay away. This company does not stand behind its services. Your clothes will come back to you wrinkled and worn-looking. And if Carriage ever loses a button off your clothing, you're in trouble. I had to take a shirt back twice to get the button Carriage lost replaced, and when they finally did it, they used a button that was too small and the wrong color. When I asked how they could let that happen, the woman behind the register explained that it wasn't Carriage's fault, it was the fault of the people who do the cleaning. Huh? Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. read more

I took my expensive white dress pants in, only to realize when I got home that they had a new stain on them in some sort of black speckled form. I brought them back and asked politely for them to clean them again. In a rude tone they asked me if I wore the pants and tried accusing me for the stain. When I got my pants back a second time they had these weird yellow splotches all over them. NEVER GOING BACK THERE AGAIN DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! read more

Very unprofessional! Hours say open until 7pm and when I arrive at 3:45 there was a sign on the door saying "Be back soon :)" so I went back to my car to wait mind you it's 34 degrees outside and I just wanted to run in real quick to pick up the dry cleaning! I waited 15 minutes to see the employee start walking up to the door with some pick n save bags. Oh wait she doesn't have the key for the building. She disappears again and come back a few minutes takes the sign off the door and proceeds in! I enter and I hear her say hold on from the back! Comes to the front and she's on the phone with someone. I can hear the person talking loudly on the phone! She tries to take the earphones out...clearly this is a personal phone call! She didn't even apologize for being on the phone or was pleasant to deal with! She mumbled the total out and some coupon that's on the next time! Trust me! Their won't be a next time! read more

WORST experience EVER!!!!! Run before they ruin your clothes and completely ignore trying to fix the problem. Scary business operation....I'm surprised they haven't been forced to close their doors. read more
