Sent email request as directed the first time, got your reply receipt, waited a FULL WEEK to call again to be asked to SEND ANOTHER REQUEST, then was put through to THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL person who apparently is ONE IN AUTHORITY to get further delayed? Your Policy? Why didn't say that the first call? This is a ROUTINE REQUEST we do with dozens of SURVEYING companies all the time. How about just being a professional, take a minute, find out the situation and solve a problem/request? This required that the plat be amended. I was able to find the original surveyor who after discovering the precarious position I was in saw an opportunity to gouge me on price. I was desperate to get the plat amended so I reached out to fellow brokers. I was immediately referred to Kevin Kolb of TS. Kevin put me at ease immediately. He knew the process and quoted me a reasonable price. I will say that after this conversation, I never really interacted with him again but was then passed on to his assistant Andrea. Andrea was extremely professional and PROMPTLY responded to calls and e-mails. She worked very hard to get everything in place to get our plat amended and recorded in a timely fashion with COH. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

After providing a completion date, the survey was repeatedly delayed. When I asked reasonable questions about the missed timeline and its impact on my project, I was met with hostility rather than customer service. The larger issue was the attitude. Instead of working cooperatively with title companies, attorneys, and other professionals involved in the transaction, there seemed to be a constant need to argue and defend positions rather than provide solutions. I received communications criticizing other parties involved in the process, including the City of Houston, which I found highly unprofessional and irrelevant to completing the work I hired them to perform. When title-related questions arose and additional clarification was needed, I did not receive the level of responsiveness and cooperation I would expect from a professional surveying firm. Rather than addressing concerns and moving the project forward, the engagement was ultimately canceled after I questioned the significant delays. As someone who regularly buys, sells, and develops property, I understand that issues arise and schedules can change. What I do not expect is a surveyor who spends more time debating than delivering, treats legitimate client concerns as a problem, and appears unwilling to work constructively with the other professionals necessary to close a transaction. I ultimately hired another survey company to complete the work. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this firm.

On Dec 3, 2025, Precision Surveyors sent three employees onto a property I was selling in zip code…read more77063 to handle a survey. Those employees proceeded to act in an unprofessional manner, caught on several surveillance cameras. One employee walked around the property with what appeared to be a machete, slashing at plants and damaging them. This employee did extensive damage to a Sweet Almond Bush (difficult to get to this size in Houston - photos of the damage to be included with this review). In addition, my cameras picked up another associate in various states of undress in the front of the property exposed to the street (see screenshots). No explanation was given for any of this bizarre behavior. The name of the person on the finished survey is James P. Wolkoviak. Mike Reed of Precision Surveyors refused to confirm any of the names of the people involved in this action or any action taken against any of them. After an initial (apparently totally insincere) email "apology" Reed refused any further followup with me or my listing agent. Mike Reed and James P Wolkoviak violated their professional responsibilities and ethics, and will be reported to state licensing authorities. This firm committed willful destruction of my property while entrusted with professional duties on it, and should be sanctioned. Moreover, real estate professionals in Houston should shun these very bad actors and look to more reputable professionals for survey need. One bad egg makes everyone in the business associated with them look bad. My advice is to stay away from these horribly rotten eggs!

I hired Washburn & Company Land Surveyors for a Boundary Survey and Minor Plat for my property in…read moreConroe, TX. The written estimate was $6,500, and I paid a $3,250 deposit on July 15, 2026. Unfortunately, it was extremely difficult to get updates about the progress of the work. I sent multiple follow-up emails and made phone calls because I was not receiving responses or status updates. On several occasions, I had to contact the company again simply to find out what was happening with my project. After more than four weeks of delays, I was eventually informed that they were unable to complete the survey because they could not locate the necessary property markers. I was offered a partial refund of $1,750, which I did not accept because the contracted work was not completed. The lack of communication and the delay significantly affected my construction schedule. I was waiting for the survey and Minor Plat to move forward with my project, and during this period the cost of my building materials increased, creating additional costs that I am now having to document. On August 17, 2026, I sent a formal written demand requesting the return of my full $3,250 deposit within five days. The company acknowledged receiving my demand on August 19 and stated that they were working on the issue. As of August 22, 2026, I have not received the $3,250 refund. My biggest concerns were not only that the contracted work was not completed, but also how difficult it was to obtain timely communication and reliable updates about the status of my project. I would have preferred to resolve the matter directly and would be happy to update this review if the company resolves the issue.
