I am driving a vintage S10 pickup that belonged to my Mom. It has almost 200K miles on a 4…read morecylinder. It's been rode hard and put away wet, but still runs and drives well. I had some issues with it (all body related) and my boys Julian and Nick took great care of me and my little red truck. They analyzed the issues and made repair recommendations, and came up with a quote that I could afford. They did three of the four repairs, in less than a day, at about 1/2 the quote price, and referred me to a body shop for the fourth repair, because that kind of work is not in their wheelhouse. I am so grateful for the guys at Butitta Auto in Oregon, Illinois. Following a previous visit, I happened to call the shop after they'd closed for the day. I didn't leave a message, but apparently my caller ID showed up. Julian was still in the shop and noticed the "missed call," and he called me back, just to make sure I was okay, and not experiencing another problem with my truck. That really touched my heart! I'm a disabled veteran, and vehicle reliability is key to my peace of mind and safety, when I'm out and about. They're honest, caring, trustworthy, and always put the customer's needs first, while ensuring the safety and reliability of the vehicle, to keep us safe. They also give a Veteran's Discount, which is greatly appreciated!

Today I went to visit a friend for the first time at Dixon Correctional facility. When I left the…read morefour hour visit, a fan under the hood of my car was still running and my battery was dead as a doornail. I have jumper cables, but a prison parking lot didn't feel like the kind of place you wander around asking strangers for help. I called AAA but they couldn't find any tow trucks within a 90 mile radius. So I called you guys because your website mentioned roadside assistance. The lovely woman who answered the phone said there was no one available. I asked if she could recommend another tow company and explained (somewhat panicked) that I'm from Chicago and I have no idea where I am or what I'm going to do. She put me on hold and then came back to say she's got a guy but it'll be about 20 minutes. I told her I'd already been waiting an hour so 20 minutes sounded like a dream. Sure enough, 20 minutes later a nice man in a red truck pulled up and jumped my car in one try. I called to pay, thanked everyone profusely, and was on my way! I couldn't believe the kindness of your team in figuring out a way to get me home.

STAY AWAY!!! I took my Hyundai Sonata to Slim n Hanks in Dixon for hail damage repair. I dropped…read morethe car off July 31st, 2025 before close for the August 1st at 7:30am. When I dropped the vehicle off, I was told that service typically takes 4-5 days. I figured this would be a little bit longer since I knew a supplement would be needed to the original service estimate done by my insurance company. I called on 8/8 at 4:03pm and left a voicemail. I asked for the status of my vehicle and left a phone number for call back. I did not receive a return phone call. I called again on 8/12 at 12:49pm and was able to talk to someone. I was told that the supplement was approved, and that the car should be ready soon. I was told that they would call me back and let me know when I could expect my car to be finished. I did not receive a return phone call with a more precise timeframe. I called again on 8/19 at 2:24pm, I was told that the finishing touches were being done and that it would be ready in 1-2 days. On 8/22, I stopped in since I hadn't heard anything, and it was over the 2 days I was told. The lady at the desk called in back and asked for the status. Now I was told that it would be ready on Wednesday, 8/27. I asked the front desk lady what the holdup has been with this because initially I was told 4-5 days. She said that the supplement held it up. I said that was approved two weeks ago. She responded that it wasn't approved on their end, to which I replied, you guys told me it was approved on 8/12. Then she said that the hood/trunk was the issue and implied that it was on the supplement. I told her that was on the initial quote so that shouldn't be the hold up. Then the reason became that it's the PDR guys. At this point, I left since I knew I wasn't getting a straight answer from her. I reached out to the owner to let him know what was going on. He assured that my vehicle would be ready on 8/27. I was able to pick up my vehicle on 8/27, however it was not finished. When I picked it up "Sonata" was not placed on the trunk, there were dents in the chrome trim, and a dent in the driver's side door. Slim n Hanks had to turn in a secondary supplement because the dents in the trim were not originally quoted in their supplement. This secondary supplement would have totaled my car with my insurance company, if the original supplement had not been almost completed. I was then told that one part was on backorder. I checked in frequently to see when the part would be in. I was told I could call the service department and try to hurry them up. I was told that the part finally came in once I said let's go ahead and get the other parts installed. I was then told to take my vehicle in on 11/11 to have everything finished. When I dropped my vehicle off, the person at the desk did not have me scheduled for the day and didn't know why I was there. After letting them know that I was speaking with the owner and he told me to bring it in for the trim, dent in door, and to have the Sonata placed on the trunk. He said okay we will get it done today. I went to pick it up, "Sonata" wasn't on the trunk, the dent was still in the driver's door, and a trim piece still needed fixed due to coming in damaged. I then took my car back 11/25, to get everything finished. When I picked it up, there were still dents on one of the trim pieces and the dent in the door. I was told that the dent in the door was from the ordinally stamping of the vehicle, however another body shop said it was from the hail and fixed it along with the last trim piece. They had my vehicle for 21 working days, after being told 4-5 days, and still couldn't complete the job.
