The reason i am giving 2 stars is because the man named ray who works there is extremely nice! But otherwise i would not use this company or recommend them. I had a install for my daughters room scheduled between 9-12. I had work at 3 that day. When 12:30 rolled around and no one showed up or called, i gave them a call. They told me the guy was running late and would be there shortly, 1:30 rolled around. Not even a call or anything mind you. 2:30 rolled around. I called again and said this was ridiculous and now they were 2.5 hours late. (Meanwhile I've been waiting since 9am). They said he would be there shortly. I had to call out of work! He finally showed up around 3:30. 3.5 hours late. And not even an apology. The carpet is not even attached all the way in the corner of the closet. It's not even worth trying to have them come back. My mom used them too for her stairs in her house. They said install would be between 1-4. 4:30-no call. I called, they said running late. Same story. Hours go by and not one person follows up to tell me what's going on. They showed up at 6pm. 2.5 hours late again. I would never use this company again because of how unprofessional they are when workers are running late. I lost a day of work and was not compensated by carpet your world in any way. I couldn't even get a phone call letting me know they were running late. Do not use this company unless you have an entire day to wait around for them. read more

Very helpful. Bought wall to wall carpet here at a good price. The sales man honored his word he would refund my deposit if I changed my mind. I did change my mind. I got my deposit back as promised and then later decided to buy what I had looked at originally, so put down another deposit. I really appreciated that level of customer service. A very nice experienced professional measured the house for carpeting, coming at time of appointment. The installers did a good job with installation. My only complaint would be that the four bedroom doors wouldn't close afterwards and I had to have them trimmed down. I understand that is quite routine, but I didn't find that out from the carpet company themselves, but from someone visiting the house. read more

2 years back we had carpet done in one of our house , today we we had there service again, we went to this place and met Ray very polite and humble guy , told him our budget and without any hesitation we decided what we want and 3rd day carpet was done , very nice and clean worked done and in our budget, good job and keep it up read more

We had a terrible experience with this company. We had laminate and carpet installed when this company was affiliated with Costco (not sure if they still are). They had to redo our carpet 2 times because at first they didn't measure enough carpet so they ordered and extra piece of carpet but since they were ordered separate we could notice a color difference and we had them redo it. We wanted the carpet to look seamless. Throughout the job the Spanish guys who came to do the work were nice guys but they were unsupervised. Every time they did our laminate floor there was something wrong they had to correct. It was hard to reach management. They would send the installation team back unsupervised over and over. So the job was redone several times over 6 months. Finally the last time the owner himself came with the team and they installed the laminate the right way. Extremely difficult and stressful process we went through when moving into our new home. You would be wise to look somewhere else if you want the job done right the first time and if you want peace of mind. read more

Thought I found a great carpet place nearby...but before I committed I read a lot of horrible reviews. I figured I'd rather try another place (even one with no reviews) than the one with consistently bad reviews, so I found this store nearby. Great selection, gracious staff and they went out of their way to accommodate my schedule. Very smooth installation ( guys were all smiles, but all business too) and transaction. Highly recommend, (and they look like they have lots of nice wood floors also). read more

Incredible / comprehensively excellent carpet picking / buying / installation experience !! Joe Loria was our guy and has been in the biz for over three decades. He came to the house with samples but then recommended we go to their Lake Grove show room to really get granular on what was available. Mind blowing experience - Home Depot times 8 as to selection. The price was very right (via Costco program which then gives back hefty gift card) and the installation uber professional - meticulous, clean and efficient. Just can't say enough about Carpet Your World. Hope Depot seems to have gotten lazy over the years and sells easy quick narrow choice carpets to the masses. I didn't want our carpet to be that "basic." The Home Depot measuring experience was a very bad one (but our guy should have kicked the cat once he got home as opposed to taking his personal problems out on us). You won't pay anymore for a Carpet Your World job . . . why would you settle for less - you DON'T need to. Go through the copious available options and be HAPPY with this big purchase. I found Carpet Your World through Costco. I was impressed from the moment that I called to inquire about vinyl plank flooring to the completion of the job. I had three bedrooms done. They did a fabulous job and were very neat and clean. Ray and Chris answered my many questions with patience and professionalism. I had five rooms in my home that I needed new carpeting for after fire ravaged our home. I could only do a room at a time as each room was finished (reconstruction/painting etc., the carpeting being the last repair before the furniture could be put in the rooms and the rooms complete). I'd shopped around at several stores in the area as well as some of the larger carpet stores in the Huntington/Melville area. I ended up at Carpet Your World. Ray was absolutely lovely, helpful, knew his product, got me on the installation schedule quickly and worked to make sure I wasn't paying for more carpet than I actually needed. In two of the rooms, because of their odd shape, I did have leftover carpeting which he graciously bound for me (free of charge) so that now I have some nice sized area rugs for other areas of my home. Joe, who does all the measuring for each job, was great as well when he came to measure each room (measure twice, cut once)! The installation crew worked quickly and efficiently and were very respectful of my home - even vacuumed the rug when they were done. If I had anything to say that deviated from this shining review it would be that the installation guys forgot to put a finishing strip on the carpet inside the closet under the door (I didn't carpet the closets). That issue was remedied when they came back and put a finishing strip down for me. I still have two more rooms to do and have no reservations whatsoever about going back to or highly recommending Carpet Your World. These folks are extremely customer oriented and friendly, on the occasions I was there a bunch of customers came it - Ray knew them all, greeted them and they him, by name. The prices for their carpeting was also extremely competitive, though admittedly I do not choose a business based solely on the price of their goods. We are business owners as well and understand that between a business and it's returning customers, it's always about the relationship as a whole and these folks have my patronage and my recommendations to my friends, family and my customers, wholeheartedly. read more
