It has the usual High Street names, ie Dorothy Perkins, River Island, Burtons, Claires Accessories, Thorntons etc. they also ocaasionally have small stalls set out in the middle selling gifty type items. They do special events in the school holidays and to promote other keys times, ie Halloween or Christmas. It has an undercover carpark attached, which is not too expensive and is good for when it is raining. There are two coffeee shops in the middle, my favourite is Esquires. All in all, this is a good place to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon, for some retail therapy.

The food department, though small has a lot of stock and you can pick up anything from frozen food, to ready meals, snacks or that indulgent treat at the end of the week. They have an okay selection of wine (Could do better but it is a small store and what they stock is good quality wine) and a good selection of soft drinks. This is a good place to pop to before a party to pick up a nice food item to impress.

There is also always a good range of sizes in most items. There are fitting rooms in 2 floors, which is great as I hardly ever have to queue. There are also tills on both floors. They have a separate Customer Services section but often only 1 person serving so I often have to queue for a little while when making a return. My only complaint is that the accessories section is small (not many bags!)

It is only about 2 years old. Open seven days a week and has free parking. It is famous for its range of fabrics there are literally hundreds to choose from and the stores offers a made to measure service for curtains. They also have dress fabrics and haberdashery. Other departments include beds and bedding see the new high quality Hotel range bathroom, kitchen, lighting, furniture, rugs, quilts, and the store's famous Market Place where there are extra bargains to be found and this section is constantly changing. We bought curtain poles and hard to get things like curtain hooks which cost pennies. I had a lie down and a bounce on a memory foam bedI want one! They also had nice servicable blinds and things like picnic sets and hobby carry cases. After all that shopping there is the store's own Coffee Shop which offers a full range of hot and cold drinks and snacks. Good value for household goods and fabrics.

Stevenage Leisure Park is kind of like the Irvine Spectrum; but in Stevenage, England. We played miniature golf at Mulligan's, bowled at Hollywood Bowl, hit the arcade for a couple of hours, and then had lunch at Wagamama. Honestly, it made for a perfect day. I'm surprised there aren't more reviews - maybe Stevenage just doesn't have many Yelpers. If you're in the area, it's a great spot to hang out with family and/or friends!

Great general foods and the place is clean and fresh. Currently though so many bargainseg a set of 3 scissors at 49p, a decent pair of pliers 27p, a spanner multi tool 99p, good quality t-shirt £3, 100 plastic file inserts 99p. Maybe they don't always have these items but I have had t shirts at £2 and £3 from here before and they are great. Also have a great range of veggie and free from goods. Often things that are hard to get elsewhere and a range of budget stuff which is finelike tomato paste 25p and veg stock cubes 18p. Have always felt the food in Sainsbury was fresher and a better selection than many other stores. Great discounts in the evening when stuff can be marked down to 10p like pizza and breadgood for the munchies :0) Staff are courteous and friendly. Large car park.

The shop looks very colourful and good selection in different colours and all set out very well. My first time there, so give me a break, hey I only wanted petrol (well chocolate too) and had been told it was 'right around the back'. Ok, I understnd that instruction. But it evaporates when, as a newcomer, you enter the entrance of the car park. Where the heck is the back? I'd missed the sign of course, so I tootled round and about, and saw a chap in a reflector jacket, I asked him the way. He made sense, was insructive and clear, until I got to the corner he told me about. Hmmm, what's the worst that could happen? I kept going and finally actually saw a sign, just as I clocked the petrol station. The staff were very friendly indeed, and amused at the quantity of chocolate I bought. Alas, I still need to sponge my skirt as most of it melted on my lap.

My problem is always (and wherever I am) not being able to find my car when I finish shopping! Not funny when it's a freezing winter's night and one is having a youthful incontinence moment!!!!! The selection of fresh fruit and veg, fish and meat (everything really) in Tescos is brilliant and it is very hard to drag me away from the chocolate aisle! I am a Cadburys Dairty Milkaholic and it has to be the largest possible bar available! I get severe withdrawal symptoms when I detox ocassionally due to the jeans waiste tightening feeling!!! When going through one of these periods I linger for many minutes at a time just looking at the chocolate on the shelf and willing myself not to put any in my trolley!!! A couple of weeks of this and the cravings disappear! I can spend hours in Tesco just looking, wishing to buy and thinking can I or can I not afford (clothes, books, shoes, bags, electrical goods, toys, games, kitchen ware, paint, DIY, the lot)! You name it Tesco has it! It's clean and staff are helpful plus usually share a joke with you, which always makes a day feel even better! I also have 2 lovely large cloth green bags but unfortunately I keep leaving them at home or, when I put them in the boot of my car I forget to take them out before going into the store! Is this an age things I wonder! Probably more honest to say I've always been a bit of an eejit!!! I do love you Tesco! Thumbs up!
