I prepared the floor exactly as Chuck at J.O.Thompson suggested. Chuck inspected the floor before scheduling the installation, telling me the floor preparation was very good. I specifically asked Chuck about the samples which he provided, which were not flat, and if this would affect how they stayed stuck to the floor. Chuck assured me his installer would stick them firmly to the floor without a problem.

I met Chuck at the store to discuss my issues and we scheduled a visit to the Women's Drum Center where they made recommendations for a transition edge to allow us to move loading carts over the edges and not create a tripping hazard. They also recommended heat sealing the 3 sections so it appears as one large piece! JOT came in the day before to remove the old carpeting allowing us to mop the floor. They ran the new carpeting all the way to the wall providing a much cleaner look and cutting around a large column. The quality of the new carpet is so nice on bare feet. The work team was efficient, respectful and did a great job cleaning up after the installation.

I needed my engineered hardwood floors refinished, and the first company I contacted barely looked…read moreat them before telling me they were too far gone and needed to be replaced. Thankfully, I got a second opinion from Dave's Master Floor Care. Dave carefully inspected the entire floor and explained that refinishing was possible -- and he delivered outstanding results with good value. Dave is thorough and an excellent communicator. He explained the types of wear on my floors and outlined his refinishing strategy step by step. With little room for error on this type of flooring, I appreciated his clear approach -- there's no "undo" button with refinishing! Dave also has tools I've never seen before -- it felt like he had a gadget for every challenge that came up. Plus, he's been doing this for years, so he knows how different stains and woods react. I even learned a bit along the way. And the best part? Dave does the work himself. Sometimes he brings an assistant to help with simple stuff, but you're really hiring him -- not a random crew. After seeing what he did with the floors, I also had him fix some big cracks in my garage and driveway too. Same story: great work, no fuss. If you want someone knowledgeable, equipped, and detail-oriented, I highly recommend Dave's Master Floor Care.

He provided a consultation for my indoor floors, but then I had him also look at my garage floor and he said he was able to do the work I was looking for, which is what I will be reviewing here today. I had a few cracks in my garage floor and was looking to Epoxy it to protect it for the winter. Dave explained to me his process and how it differs from the competition which helps keep his cost low. The best part about Dave was that he stuck to the quote he gave me, with no surprises or additional ask for money, and he started when he said he would, got the job done quick, and finished when he said he would - anyone who has worked with contractors before knows this is a rarity! Dave was respectful and treated the place with care, and I would recommend his work to others. We think the garage looks great! Dave is passionate about his work and did tend to over-explain some things to me, so some people might enjoy that more than others but it was great to hear how much he knew about the subject!

Since we bought our house in March, we have dealt with many contractors. Jose & Angela are by far…read morethe most professional and honest among all of them. They took care of a drywall+door installation and a bathroom fan replacement. Among the 4 contractors we contacted for this, they were the only ones showing up in person to provide a quote. The others only asked for pictures and provided quotes based on those. The quote from Jose & Angela was very reasonable. A couple of times, as it is often the case, the project required some extra costs due to the unforseen conditions of the door and the fan we purchased. Jose was very transparent in describing the reasons of the additional costs and updated our contract immediately both times. At each step we knew what we were paying for why. Based on our experience, this is not something to be taken for granted. The final job was absolutely high quality. Moreover, Jose and his team did all they could to minimize the impact of dust etc on the rest of the house. I am very happy we (somewhat randomly, via Angi) got to connect with them. They will certainly be our first choice for any future work on the house that falls within their expertise.

The entire process was seamless from start to finish- Brady, Cory and Gabe were amazing to work with. The completed project looks outstanding and we would HIGHLY recommend the entire Upper Crust Finishes team.

Cory was very communicative and prompt on his emails and appointments. He came in, instantly spotted the issue with my grout and quickly went to work sealing it. The estimate was very unclear as to what was billed as materials and labor. When I questioned how much the materials were I was told that they could use a cheaper material, but this would cause the labor to increase. We ended up using another company. The estimate was pretty close to what Artisan quoted, but I could at least understand the breakdown of what I was paying. I'm sure Victor is a nice guy and I'm sure he does fine work, but if I can't get straight answers on your estimate I'm going to shop elsewhere.

Do not hire this company! They're new, and have no real professional experience, and you're…read morebasically a guinea pig for their projects. I hired them to remove and replace baseboards and door trim through Home Depot's Pro service. They double-booked the day my project was supposed to start and instead of rescheduling (which I offered), they sent the owner's brother-in-law - who doesn't even work for the company - into my home. He caused damage, and the work was sloppy and incomplete. The workmanship was terrible: - Boards weren't nailed securely - Large gaps between baseboards and walls - No caulking at seams - Only some nail holes filled - Some corners are mitered, others aren't - they're just boards stuck together for an unfinished, inconsistent look - They skipped spray painting the boards (as outlined in the contract), left several unpainted, and only painted the front face of others. After several text messages with Adam around my disappointment with the incomplete and sloppy work, they did offer to come back and fix things (contract has a workmanship guarantee) - but at that point, NO THANK YOU. The trust was gone, and I wouldn't feel comfortable letting them back in my home. I will likely have to rip half of it out and hire someone else to redo it - leaving me out a significant amount of money, and they don't care. Adam takes an 'Adam first' approach vs. a customer first approach as advertised. The finished product looks like a rushed DIY job I could've done myself. Unprofessional from start to finish.
