She never rushed me and even ordered some samples to be sent so I could try them out in different lighting and traffic patterns. We got updates from her immediately when we made our decisions and when it was on backorder, she was apologetic and still prompt. She made sure we fully understood what the installation process would look like before, during, and after. The installers were very professional and respectful of our space and walked us through each room when they were finished to make sure we were satisfied with the work. Regina just followed up with me to make sure everything was perfect. Graham's has great word-of-mouth so I'm glad I checked them out even though we're all the way in North Denver- there was a very small trip fee to come from Loveland that was absolutely worth it for such a great experience!

We've got a mixed review for Graham's Flooring and Design:…read more We wanted to get a couple different bids on materials and labor for replacing the slick vinyl floor at our new home in Loveland, Colorado. In addition to Peak flooring and Lumber Liquidators, Graham's is right here in town, as well. Lumber Liquidators has a bad reputation in both California and at this Loveland Colorado store, so they were eliminated from our list. Graham's was a tough one because we kept showing up at their door on days when they were closed for special events. While waiting for Graham's to have people in attendance we went to Peak Flooring and brought a big sample piece from the flooring we had left behind in California. Kristy spent a long time showing us various sample pieces and even encouraged us to take the samples home to see how they looked in our environment. Then an estimator came by and took measurements and then we finally found time to get to Graham's to get a competing offer. We brought our sample from California and showed it to the woman minding the store. The woman said she just worked the front office, but she had a phenomenal eye for the products and the color of our sample from California. She said she had just the right thing and went to the warehouse while we browsed the samples in their showroom. When the woman came back (sorry, I can't remember her name) she showed us a sample that she said was a new line that the salesmen hadn't had time to build the display for. It wasn't the same as the sample we had brought in, but it was a lot closer than anything in the offerings from Peak flooring and, although I would have preferred engineered hardwood, the vinyl hybrid was still better looking than the samples in our home and had a better warranty and durability specifications. We were sold! We scheduled a visit from their estimator and we were happy we were persistent about visiting Grahams -- third time's a charm! Kim showed up and took measurements around the house while chatting with us about Loveland and Colorado and how it's different from California. She promised to get us great pricing on the flooring and labor and left us feeling pretty good about our choices for the flooring and installation company. We ironed out installation dates and materials costs via email and Kim was able to get us great pricing even though the Colorado warehouse was out of stock for the new line of flooring planks. It was a bit strange when the two installers (Rocky and Israel) and the foreman (Eddie) showed up bright and early on installation day. Kim didn't show up with them because she had been booked at another estimation appointment down in Denver and, for some reason, they weren't willing to start without her. When she showed up 90 minutes later, the installation team discussed a few things with her and she told me she had forgotten to check for the need for underlayment in the bedrooms where the carpets were going to be replaced by flooring. She quoted a decent price for the additional material but, with the installers ready to go and materials already on site, I really didn't have much of a choice but to agree and proceed. Needless to say, that was a bit uncomfortable. With that, Rocky and Israel set about removing carpet while Eddy disappeared for a few hours, returning later with the particle board to be used as underlayment. Kim also disappeared, but we hadn't expected her to get involved in the labor anyway. The job took longer than expected, particularly with the extra requirement to cut and lay out the particle board. We also discovered some scratched boards mid-way through the installation efforts, and replacing those boards required removal of several adjoining planks. We were glad they did it, though, because we knew we wouldn't be able to 'un-see' those scratches if the problem wasn't corrected. After that, Israel continued installing our flooring while Rocky disappeared -- apparently he got a call and was diverted to a house in a nearby neighborhood where he started the demolition process for their flooring job. The job had been scheduled for three days with the hopes of completing it in two; the guys came back for a fourth day to finalize the installation and add the finishing touches -- putting the baseboards back on and adding a special nose-board at the top of the stairs. All in all, the guys did a great job and we are just ecstatic about the results. We do feel the job could have been completed in 2.5 to 3 days if everyone had showed up on time and stayed on-site to contribute, but the delays didn't cost us any extra so we're really only complaining about the extra time that we had to endure the reverberating noise of hammers pounding throughout the house. It seems like Graham's Flooring is so popular that they're a little over-booked, but we love the flooring and the results!

We had our kitchen, pantry and laundry room to repair. We hoped we might have enough in our budget to replace our master bath floor as well. We searched in all our local Boulder flooring stores with no luck. Either their selection was poor, the cost prohibitive or we'd find something we liked only to learn it was no longer available. I put the project on the back burner in December. Come February, I resumed my search. I received a recommendation to check out Carpet Masters in Longmont. Andrew was a friendly face in what seemed to be rather disinterested sales staff at most retailers. He was helpful, accommodating, knowledgeable, friendly and supportive. His shop had samples of flooring I'd not seen anywhere else, and I quickly found the style I'd been looking for. Even better, the installer he sent, Dusty, was equally as friendly, knowledgeable and supportive. He listened to us and advised us as we made decisions. He could also be considered an artist at his craft. The precision at which he worked gave us floors that will stand the test of time against the wear and tear of pet and human foot traffic and keep it looking as good as the day of completion. He was communicative and honest in his assessment of what could and could not be done, and I found out quickly that I could trust his judgement. I highly recommend both Carpet Master and their installers (particularly Dusty) in giving consumers what they need for great flooring and the best installation experience. Ultimately, Andrew was able to give us a quote that allowed us to include our master bath flooring as well. And Dusty's excellent craftsmanship gave us new flooring we could be proud of.

Carpet Masters of Colorado offers a wide selection of flooring, which is handy if you need multiple types like my husband and I. We were looking at redoing the carpet in our new home, along with installing some other form of flooring in the bathroom (because who wants carpet in the bathroom?). Kevin was helpful in walking us through our choices based on our tastes and budget, and it was a fairly painless process to get signed up. And that's where the painlessness stopped. We were told that the installers would be coming on Thursday and finish on Friday. That was perfect, as we were planning on moving in on Saturday. Then we're told actually sometime Saturday they should be done. I stopped by the house on Friday, and there are children in my house. We're talking two kids that were probably around seven and nine, and they are running around upstairs, screaming and playing like this is the best thing to ever happen. There's also this strange teenage couple just hanging out in the living room. I go into another room and do my own thing, and I learn that the boy of this couple is the lead installer's son, and he's brought his new girlfriend by to meet the family. Wow, really glad this is going on in my house. The two kids just keep running around, alternating between running outside and hanging out with Mom and Dad (the lead installer). I have no idea when they arrived that morning, but they left around 3 PM, saying they'll be back tomorrow around 9 AM and they hope tomorrow will be the last day. This is news to me, as I was told Saturday was going to be the final day of installation, which was already a day behind schedule. Then the lead installer explains that those are all his kids, and they all help him out and work with him, which is weird because I definitely didn't see any of them helping out, least of all the new girlfriend. Oh well. Saturday comes, and they finally bother to show up around 10:30 AM. So much for 9 o'clock. My husband refuses to let the kids in the house for anything other than the bathroom, because having kids around is a massive liability and we will not be put at risk like that. They begrudgingly keep working. Kevin stopped by and said that part of the delay is that apparently we are missing a fair amount of carpet, so they don't have enough to finish everything anyways. We later learned this was due to forgetting to measure two closets. At this point, I am livid with this company for their lack of professionalism, and just want it done. The installers stay until they finish what they can do that day, and then just left without cleaning up after themselves. What a way to have a grand reveal of all this new carpet than to just see everything covered in fibers because the installers didn't feel like vacuuming. Eventually the rest of the carpet was installed (by a completely different contractor), and the bathroom was redone as well. It all does look very nice, but the entire process was unprofessional and exhausting. Kevin apologized for the original installer's kids, but apparently this is not the first time that has happened so clearly this is a regular thing. In the end, apologies are cheap, and I would not hire Carpet Masters of Colorado again.

Since it was the lowest price and they had no bad reviews, I decided to choose them. I was later told that they would not honor the estimate they gave me because the contractor they sent out bid too low. They gave me a new higher estimate. When I went in to select the flooring colors I wanted, they told me, for the price they bid me, I had one choice for click vinyl and 10-15 not very attractive choices for carpet. Mind you, they have a beautiful store room with all sorts of options, but I was not allowed to choose any of those without my estimate going dramatically higher. When I called a couple times asking about the floor prep required, they wouldn't answer my question and instead they would send me a new estimate, saying 'that's the best they could do'. I wasn't trying to negotiate prices, I was trying to understand what prep was needed. I finally decided on which carpet and vinyl I wanted. Then I compared all of the estimates they gave me and realized that the labor and types of floor prep varied considerably between estimates. I went in to discuss the variances and they came back with an even higher estimate from Suzanne. It was $1000 over the original estimate. She didn't even come downstairs from her office. She had her employee give it to me saying that this was the final estimate. She basically wanted to get rid of me. I walked out. I have never been treated so poorly.
