I didn't actually buy anything from Carpet Depot while I was there, but when I went, they had just closed not too long ago and Billy saw me milling around outside and actually came to the door, unlocked it and asked me if I wanted to come on in. I was looking for a carpet runner for my house and after looking around Carpet Depot, I realized I probably needed to do a little more research before making a purchase. They don't genuinely sell carpet runners per se; They sell carpet remnants of various styles, patterns and colors and they will cut and bind them for you at the size you want, so depending on what you're looking for, they can definitely fit the bill and do the job. I would venture to say, that if flooring, from tile to carpet is what you need, Billy appears to have it and his customer service and willingness to help, is BEYOND stellar!!! read more

Needed carpet for 3 rooms in our house we bought foreclosed in mableton. I measured everything and brought my info into Home Depot. They quoted me around $3000 for their cheapest carpet and cheapest underlay. I was like "uhhh absolutely not, peace". I drove past the carpet depot and decided to stop in. The people were nice and welcomed us to check out the carpets. I really didn't care about what carpet we got, so I chatted with the owner while my wife shopped with another employee. He offered me a drink while we chatted. Fast forward - they came an measured and quoted us significantly less than Home Depot! Ummmmm yes! They sent out a crew a couple days later who took out the old crappy (literally from dogs prior to us) carpet and put the new stuff down in a few hours. I was pretty impressed and bought the fellas pizza. Would use Carpet Depot again. Love your coozie too! read more

I found a great piece for my closet. Bill was very happy to help me. I was surprised at the selection of high quality pieces of remnants that actually were enough carpet on the roll to complete a small room without breaking the budget. I have my own installer, but I won't hesitate to ask Bill for assistance if ever the need arises. Sometimes, you just have to give the small businesses a chance because every case is different. I purchased carpet, installation, and the removal of furniture from this place on 7/11/18. The next day they visited the home, took measurements, and viewed the space. On 7/23 they called to schedule installation. We scheduled for 7/31. On the morning of 7/31 they called again to schedule installationand stated that they had no record of the previous installation date. With consideration ultimately given to weather conditions, we scheduled for 8/4. On 8/4 they arrived for installation and furniture removal, an additional cost. They rudely stated that they could not complete the install because they could not remove certain items of furniture (although they'd visited the space some wks prior and observed the same furniture and I'd specially paid for furniture removal/replace). At this point I did not trust their product or installation ability. I requested my money be returned. The owner, Billy Said, refused to give me a full refund; stating that he'd be taking a loss on the transaction. While admitting the employee who'd handled the visit and transaction had been fired for similar behavior, he and his staff rudely argued with me for 2+ hours and refused to provide a full refund. THIS BUSINESS ENGAGES IN A BAIT & SWITCH SCHEME AND IS NOT REPUTABLE. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM. I have lost money and still have no carpet! read more

After shopping several places (HD, Lowes, Empire, etc) for prices. Bill provided the kind of customer attention that I would have paid more for. So I came by, found the perfect carpet and had it installed within three days. No issues, fast service and friendly installers. Billy and his staff were great! The quote we got was just slightly lower than we got at Home Depot but we prefer to go with smaller businesses than the bigger stores. And besides, Home Depot was going to charge a lot per room of furniture to move. The very next day someone came out to measure and the installation was scheduled for the next weekend. Billy's installers were an amazing team who worked their butts off. We have large furniture that they moved without a problem and couldn't have been nicer or more professional. We would recommend Billy and Carpet Depot to anyone who needs carpeting. He has a large remnant selection or you can order through the many samples that he has in the showroom. Today I went into carpet Depot looking for a large piece of carpet remnants for my garage floor. Nothing special, just something cost effective. The young man working his name is Hope. He was nice and helpful. I didn't spend much time in there, only about 5 minutes and I was able to get what I need and be on my way. Hope even helped me get the piece to the car and load it. If I need more carpet in the future, I will absolutely come back to Carpet Depot. read more

This is another place that advertises to beat the competition, but then quotes the same price and higher when you show up. The flooring quote was super and the same for a great brand of carpet. When they got to my house, the same quote changed as did the labor to install it. I love to see honest companies grow and get a loyal following. This is NOT THAT COMPANY. Here is the latest update : Knowing the carpet was a Shaw Brand I finally decided to contact them as I had the color and style but not the company name for certain . Well it paid off , the lady I spoke with was so nice and accommodating . She said she would call Billy at Carpet Depot and get the info she needed from him . She called me back later that day to tell me Billy said he had no info about the purchase that they no longer had any records ( quite contrary to what he told me when I was there when I asked him if he needed to see my receipt and he said " no " because he had all the records from Glenn when he was there . The lady from Shaw requested I email her my receipt from Carpot Depot along with a email stated everything that transpired at Carpot Depot because the carpet has a 15 yr warranty . She also asked how the installed it , regarding manual stretcher or power , I told her it was manual knee type and she said all carpet if done properly uses power stretcher . So , 2 days later she contacted me to say I have been assigned a claim # and would be receiving a call from their Claims Manager and also their Inspector . Happy to say the inspector called the next day and will. E out to check all the rooms ( 6 ) plus stairway tomorrow . Will follow up again ! read more

I recently ordered carpet for to cover 13 stairs on an urgent project at Carpet Depot. Whilst at the store, the owner or manager, Bill, informed me it would take roughly 10 X 12sqf. I decided on the remnant piece that was around 10X13sqf for $120 and he asked me to pay in full. He also promised to send his carpet installers to my property the following day at around 10am. I accepted the price and the scheduled time. The following day, after taking a day off from work, unfortunately they never came and after countless calls he threw a lot of excuses throughout the day, at around 6pm he informed me he was on his way to my property. When he arrived, upon review of the area where I needed carpet placed he told me he will need 12 X 18sqf. instead. I went back to the store the following day, after spending time searching for another remnant I asked if I could instead order an Indoor/Outdoor carpet, sensing my desperation, he informed me his staff do not install Indoor/Outdoor carpet and the cost will be $350 for the desired square footage. I then finally chose a remnant piece that was around 12X20sqf. for $149. He again rescheduled me for installation the following day around morning time. The following day, his carpet installers did not come and after another two days of waiting I decided to just simply call and cancel the job. Instead of refunding my money he charged me a "RESTOCKING FEE" of $40. I was so fed up to even put a fight I simply left his store. In away, I finally got a comparable Indoor/Outdoor Carpet from Home Depot for $75 plus $150 for install for the entire project. To me this guy is a liar, crook and fraudster please BEWARE of his business! read more

Just had carpet and linoleum installed in a 400 sq ft studio apartment I rent out. I found the guys at the store to be helpful. Hope, walked me through the store and went over the inventory, then he came and took measurements. Then we scheduled the job. There was a small scheduling issue that occurred causing a few days delay, however the owner and Hope are stand up guys, they made things right and when the installation crew came, they did a fantastic job. Had these guys come to provide me a quote on about 600 sq ft of carpet at our home in Acworth. The appointment making process was easy and they had a 40% sale or something 'big' going on. The sales person came to the home on time and was friendly and knowledgable. Two things that made my rating go down the drain--- 1) their schedule was around a week out from when we needed it and 2) they were just plain expensive. Our quote after the 'big' savings was over $2000. Home depot provided us an almost identical quote for similar dense carpet for $1400. We didn't buy so I can't rate post sales service or installation, but I'm a smart enough shopper to do my homework before chucking a pay check at them. I wasn't going to write a review after interacting with Carpet Depot but I changed my mind because this may be useful for someone else. A few months ago I called Carpet Depot out to my house to give us an estimate to complete the hardwood flooring on the lower level of our home. The person that came by was very professional and friendly and even made sure they could still find the wood in stock in the same style and color. I had a picture from when our home was built so I knew the exact company name, style name as well as the stock number of the existing wood. When he did the walk through he seemed excited to get back to the shop to write up the estimate and get me a price. A day later he called me to tell me that his installers said the only way they were willing to take the job was if we were willing to pay to have the existing hardwood torn out and replaced! I felt he changed his story as he went on to explain that wood fades and they were not willing to tie into existing wood because wood lots are different and may not be the exact match and they didn't want us to get mad after the installation and not like the job. I told him that I had never heard of something like that and that as the home owners, if we were willing to take the risk it shouldn't be an issue. He offered for us to buy the wood from them and have someone else install it or he said they would have to decline to do the job because they wanted to be able to stand by their work. He ended the conversation by saying if we decided to change our minds and rip up all the wood to give him a call back. Fast forward 4 months later, we found a company we liked (price and professionalism wise) and just finished having our hardwoods installed with the SAME wood, from the SAME original manufacturer and the wood matches perfectly and there are NO coloring variations. There were no issues with the install and the company even offered several different ways to tie the wood in. They did the job in 9 hours and it looks fantastic! I honestly feel Carpet Depot did not know how to tie the wood in. Out of 4 companies that came to see the job and give us a quote, they were the only ones that said it wasn't possible to use our existing wood and just think .... if we didn't know better we would have spent THOUSANDS of dollars extra having perfectly great wood torn out and paying for the same wood to be installed. I don't know how they are with Carpet, but I wouldn't dare use them to install wood. This is my honest review. read more

Okay I'd been gravely disappointed by management of this place a few years back, and when I posted my rant a little over a week ago, the NEW owner was kind enough to respond. He apologized for my experience with the folks who were running the place before, and invited me to give their business a try now that HE'S in charge. I'm due to have carpet installed in my basement when I return from Holiday, and I sure will be getting the work done by the NEW AND IMPROVED Carpet Depot. Here's why: I went into the store shortly after the owner told me to come check out their inventory. I'm so terrible with remembering names but the gentleman who offered to help me find what I was shopping for was very polite and very knowledgeable of their product(s). He told me an approximate price based on the measurements I gave him but explained that they would come out to take measurements to give me an exact price. The price was as nice as the carpet (which I REALLY liked), so I'm sold!! Awesome customer relations, Miles of wonderful carpet in a wide range of colors and patterns, and competitive prices! I feel good about doing business with a company like this, and I can't wait to have my install done! read more

The new management is not better than before. They charged $1900 on my card and never provided a receipt or detailed service invoice. I was told he carpet would be at there store by the end of the weekend and they would call when it was in. I did not hear from them by the end of the week so I called , only to be told that Billy (the manager) would not be there for another hour but he would call me back when he got there. Of course i didnt receive a call so I called the next day only to be told the exact same thing. Needless to say this lasted for a whole week. Billy finally called me back only to say that there was a problem with my order and they couldn't fulfill in the timeframe and that it would be another 3 weeks before it was in. Then he says "Well you have two options to wait or to try a different product." My response was No I have a third option, which is to get my money back. Of which I did. Unfortunately I read the reviews on this place waaay to late, but they were all true. Please read all the reviews and know that you are really taking a huge risk by ordering from this place, but not only ordering but apparently also installing. According to other reviews, Im glad i got out of this mess before they installed my carpet. I hope this review helps more people avoid this place. read more

What a nightmare! Within a week after my carpet was installed, tacks,staples and nails started sticking up for the carpet As the carpet settled the sharp objects made holes in the carpet. The manager promised to send a new installer he the manger, came himself with a hammer which only made the problem worst T he original installer came back and told me that if he did the repairs that I would have to pay him He was irate that I was complaining about his work He nailed down one nail and stormed out. The installer damaged my shade by tossing old carpet from a third floor window as well as my garage door hardware the day he installed the carpet. The manager has been to my house 3x to access the situation Although he agrees that there is a problem much worse than he can handle with just a hammer he has not sent a different installer. This carpet has already been paid for. Now I am stuck with a carpet that I have to always wear shoes on. I have been stuck more times than I want to remember by tiny objects which you can't see until you walk on them . What a nightmare!!!!! read more

Less than two weeks after spending $1200 on carpet and installation by one of their subcontractors in a basement bedroom our basement flooded and servpro had to pull up the carpet. My wife called them to get the number of the guy who installed the carpet and they were rude and told her that they would not give it to her and that we had to go through them and that there would be a minimum charge of $200 just to come out. I will never use Carpet Depot again and would advise against anyone else using them either. read more
