The middle half of the pizza is just a chewy flap of dough, even without toppings on it.

In town visiting family & came across this restaurant. Got good reviews from some of the locals we spoke to. Place looked like an old school "mom n pop" pizza joint, which I liked. Wait staff was very friendly, helpful & patient (we had a bunch of questions). Ordered the beef raviolis, spaghetti & meatballs and a BBQ Chicken pizza, along with a calzone & chicken Alfredo to go. Food came out quickly & looked great. Portion sizes were very good. Everything had good flavor. I normally like brick oven, thin crust Italian style pizza but the pizza here is baked in a bowl shaped pan which lets the toppings slide into the middle of the pizza, so the inside half is thin & soggy while the outer half is crispy but hardly any toppings. You need a fork to lift a slice out to avoid having all of the toppings fall off - interior half of the pizza was like wet cardboard, so no "structural integrity". The spaghetti & meatballs were also "good" but not "great". Sauce was nice & thick on the ravioli but the spaghetti had a little too much water in it which diluted the sauce, making it a little bland. The meatballs were small, looked like frozen, but pretty sure they were not. They tasted fine, but the consistency of them was a little too "spongy" for my taste. Beef raviolis were also very good taste wise but I felt they could have been cooked a couple minutes longer (I thought they were a little too firm but my wife liked them). The calzone & chicken alfredo were both very good. Lastly, the salad was not the greatest - all white iceberg lettuce. Dressings were good, but would have been MUCH better if there was just a bit of romaine lettuce mixed in to give it some color (& nutritional value). All in all, the food was "ok", but based on the reviews & referrals, I was expecting more. Prices are a little high for something that is just "good".

Pizza Roll Lunch Special

I heard about this place on Facebook. I read the Google and Yelp reviews and they were all pretty good. Went there for lunch today with my family of 4. We ordered 4 lunch specials (3 calzones and one roll) and a Large Spinach Alfredo Pizza with Bacon & Italian Sausage. The pizza was ginormous! Everything was hot and fresh and arrived quickly. Customer service was good. I will try the spaghetti next time! I understand why this place was voted Bama's Best Pizza.

I finally caught Carpenetti's Pizza operating for business. Their hours are tricky so I advise calling before ever making the trip out to Moody. I called my order in for pick up and when I arrived , my order was ready. There were a few patrons dining inside and that capacity was on a limited basis. I ordered a 10 inch pepperoni and mushroom pizza. The crust was the perfect texture! I know Pepperoni and mushroom is a very simple / basic pizza but this one checked all the boxes for me! The slices were enough to have some leftovers for lunch the next day. I really enjoyed my pizza. As I mentioned, their hours are tricky and they never seem to be open anytime I was in the area. The wait was worth it & Carpenetti's Pizza is easily one of the best eating options in the Moody /Leeds!

Large pepperoni and jalapeño

Super friendly staff and the pizza was amazing. We ordered a large and it was huge. Thin crust with no flop 10/10.

Good stuff but the sausage is not great. Service was fantastic but avoid the sausage at all costs. 10/10 otherwise

Real NY pizza. Best crust! Calzones are up there with pizza. Haven't tried anything else because those are so good I crave them.

If you are a fan of caprese salad then you have to try it. The mozzarella is so creamy and delicious. We ordered 3 pizzas. All three were delicious. Everything is fresh. The last time I tasted pizza like this was 10 years ago when I was in Milan for two weeks on business. I ate pizza practically every day for two weeks. I'm seriously thinking about stopping there again today when I run an errand. If I get rid of the box, no one will even know. Authentic Italian pizza in Trussville, AL of all places.

The large pizza barely had any ricotta on it, despite that being one of the featured toppings, and we paid extra for artichokes that were barely there as well. The "fresh basil" was practically nonexistent and looked more like tiny shredded flakes than actual fresh basil. The chocolate cake was also disappointing -- very fake tasting, overly spongy, and absolutely not worth $8 a slice. After DoorDash fees and everything else, the total came out to around $75, and honestly, you can get much better pizza and dessert for far less money almost anywhere. This location has seen several pizza places come and go over the years, and unfortunately this felt like another one relying on high prices and presentation without delivering the quality to back it up.

The outdoor area by Neighbors had tons of activities and TV's for large groups. The indoor area seemed like a mini food court with an arcade. There was a pizza place, a bbq joint and a bar. They all kind of seem connected but you had to pay separately at each place. I had my buddy order me a Screen Test Pizza which is a garlic puree cream sauce as a base with smoked chicken, roasted tomatoes, and mozzarella cheese. I normally don't like white sauce pizzas, but I had to pee and just picked something since my buddy was paying. My little faux pas turned out to be a great decision. The pizza was great. The beer was decent; the Belgian triple was my favorite of the 2, with the double IPA being the other one. They didn't have a big selection and they didn't have flights. Cool spot to watch a game or to bring the kiddos to run around while the adults have a few cold ones.

This was kinda disappointing even though I really love mushrooms. I also wish they had put more pizza sauce on the crust. Sooooo , this pizza was just okay. The ratio was just off on all the ingredients. The staff were all friendly as well as helpful. I was happy to learn of their $ 5 mimosa Sunday special (all day). This will definitely bring me back out , even if I don't order any pizza. The environment here is casual and spacious. Great for large groups!

On our most recent visit decided to try a new option the Southern Style Deep Dish (Deep dish pizza…read morebaked and served in a cast iron skillet, a Southern take on Chicago style, with a crisp edge and hearty layers of pepperoni, Italian sausage, smoked bacon, and mozzarella, topped with our house marinara) and fortunately my son convinced me to get a large (16") basic Pepperoni Pizza (hand tossed dough, house marinara, mozzarella, and pepperoni) as well. I say fortunately because when he got home with the pizzas after picking them up for take out, I was shocked at how small the Southern Style Deep Dish ended up being. Essentially it was the size of the old personal pan pizzas from Pizza Hut. While unsure what a "southern take" on a Chicago style might mean, I did not expect the soupy mess of toppings in a bread bowl, which is what we received. There was nothing wrong with the taste and there were ample protein toppings, just not enough cheese to bind it all together. Since my wife was not home for dinner, we decided to save her a "slice" to try later. It sitting overnight and being reheated greatly improved the consistency. What usually makes Chicago Style successful is more cheese than you usually have on a hand tossed or tavern style and in some cases a top layer of dough to really make it into a "pie". The taste of the toppings has never been an issue for me (with the exception of the "Lazy River - crawfish ettoufee, beer braised sweet peppers, charred red onion and mozzarella). Overall my take is unless you are going to order some of their more unique options such as my favorite "Gator Bait" (marinara, mozzarella, alligator sausage, roasted chicken, jalapeño peppers, and drizzled with creole creme) there are plenty of other better places for your pizza cravings. My son is also a fan of their Margherita pizza. For me it will likely be a good long while before suggesting a visit or pick up again.

I asked what that meant. She told me they "never received it." I said that was odd bc my phone gave me a pick up time. She disappeared into the back and came back with another woman who was smiling, if not laughing, before she opened the drive thru window again. When she opened the window she said, "I'm sorry, our system canceled your order." Right....your "system" being that smiling woman beside you. And instead of offering me something that was already made or suggesting I replace my order, or even verbally taking my order over again, they just looked at me like I was dumb until I drove away. Sadly, I order from this location approximately once a week and I do not plan on returning here in the future.

And when my wife opened it, she screamed and dropped the pizza on the floor because the inside was crawling with ants. I immediately picked it up and threw it in the trash can. I then had to spray the counter and floor (trash can too), with bug spray. I then drove to Litter Caesars to see what they could do? The only thing they did was tell me to contact Yelp for a refund. That's a whole different complaint because there is no location or icon for refunds. So the question goes "who places a hot delicious pizza on the ground?" I guess I'll be eating cereal tonight. PS. How do I get a refund or do I go through American Express and file a complaint?

When I ordered from here a few weeks ago and went through the drive thru the employee at the window said are you sure you ordered from this location. I showed her the confirmation email. After a few minutes she came back and said that someone had already picked up the order. Not sure exactly how it happened but they quickly started preparing the order again and did not charge us. We have since returned and had no issues with the order as usual. So after dozens of orders with only 1 significant issue, that they resolved as quickly as possible, Fox's will continue to be one of our top choices for pizza night. **** Original Review **** Hopefully since Fox's is an established local chain they will have better luck here than the previous several tenants. This is location is connected to the Shell gas station. Big plus for the location is the ability to drive through and pick up your phone ahead order. The pick up window is a little awkward but that was pre-existing so not much that Fox can do about it. Pizzas were ready on time. We ordered a Deluxe with Veggies only on half(essentially half Deluxe, half Meat Lovers) and a pepperoni. Dough was cooked through and has a good consistency. Their crust is like a hand tossed style. Ample toppings throughout. I definitely like better than the national chains. Will certainly be back.
