After spending several years at a large, competitive studio where we constantly faced issues --…read morelack of communication, cliques, and an environment that just didn't feel healthy -- we knew we needed a change. We weren't just looking for strong technique (although we found that too!) -- we were looking for a studio that felt like family. That's exactly what we found here. From day one, we felt the difference. The environment is warm, welcoming, and inclusive. Every teacher our daughter worked with made her feel valued, supported, and seen. The sense of community is real. It's not about being the flashiest or the most cutthroat -- it's about lifting each dancer up and helping them grow as people, not just performers. That's why it meant so much to see this studio receive the Studio of Excellence award at every regional competition we attended this year. To us, that award represents everything that matters: integrity, teamwork, and heart. It speaks volumes -- more than any individual trophy ever could. We're so thankful for everything this studio has given our daughter this past year. It was absolutely the right decision for our family, and we would recommend it to anyone looking not just for dance -- but for a place to belong.

if I could give zero stars out of five, I would give a zero. Very unprofessional, family owned so…read morespeaking with the owner will do you no justice because she believes her daughter has her best interest and in all actuality she does not. Miss Alyssa talks about the dancers to their peers and gets them to create opinions on their teammates which then turn to bullying through out the season. There is so much bullying that goes on in this dance studio and there is no actual competitive talent taught. additionally, throughout the season the teachers change and then students are left with a different teacher to carry out the rest of the dance season and pick up somebody else's choreography. To make matters worse the filth in this studio is GROSS. My daughter would come home full of dust and black feet sometimes warts from dirty floors! No school whether it be a dance school or any school for that matter should favor one child over another, encourage bullying, be left filthy etc. I would not recommend. If you want your child to shine, seek other options!

My son & daughter in law decided to send my granddaughter to this "dance school" for one of the weeks they offered this year for Dance Camp. This was at my suggestion as I have heard other people say they went to this school and it was right in Johnston... I did not expect it to be one of the worst experiences of her young life. She is 7 years old..and actually a very good sweet little girl...she is just like any other 7 year old little girl...She loved it the first day and was begging her mom to allow her to go another week...the second & third day she came out crying...I am not going to get into the whole sad story but I myself picked her up the third day and was called in by the owner...who chastised my granddaughter whom was crying in my side..for plain & simple "stuff" that any 7 year old would do...nothing out of the ordinary...and while my granddaughter cried...she continued to explain all of the "things" she did to make her angry that day...example..not listening when she told her not to run so she had to repeat herself..dumping popcorn back in the popcorn maker that belonged to another child that did not want it all...(of course it should have been thrown in the garbage - but again the child is 7) along with a few other things...I was asked if she had behavior problems...she is going in 2nd grade and has been in school since preschool and has actually gotten awards for being such a sweet kid...among other things...The owner did reimburse my son but its not just the money that bothered us..it was the feeling that we sent her out to be verbally abused. I would think twice before sending your child here...I do not know the rest of the teachers - I am sure they are awesome..but the owner does not know how to deal with children..and I am so sad that I helped set my granddaughter up for this emotional time..lesson learned....

I GUARANTEE that you will not find a studio better than this one. The young ladies (ages ranging from 2-adult) are mannerly and kind. At other studios I have visited for my daughter, I have seen and heard that the young ladies are conceited and completely rude. Also, Miss Carolyn Dutra herself is an amazing person. She offeres the girls every dance type there is. She teaches the girls poise and charm and just simply life lessons. Being a former Rockette, she knows "Show Biz" and proffesionalism like no one else. To put it simply: Carolyn Dutra is definitely one of the best. It is rare that the studio will do a competition, seeing Miss Carolyn has an amazing perspective about competitions that you will want to hear. So, Miss Carolyn Dutra will do a lot of local things, such as dancing in festivals. Also, instead of competitions, there are trips. Cruises, Hershey Park, New York, and even Disney World! And the girls are trained so well and are amazing dancers. I don't mean to brag or anything, but they are very, very, well trained and proffesional, unlike many other studios in the city... I very highly recommend this wonderful studio. I will give it five stars at the drop of a hat. I wish there was an "1000000 stars" button.
