THIS CAFE IS LITERALLY NEXT TO A WATERFALL i'm screaming!!!!!! but this little park is v peaceful except for the pigeon who wanna get a nibble on what u working with! You order at the window, and then wait 10-15min for your name to be called. prettyyy simple. it is popular tho! so sometimes you may need to wait. OK so, the foodstuff the bombay hotdog was rly rly interesting. I love onion! so that was fun for me. it come with a little salad to refresh ur palette and honestly felt light!! like a good little snackie. the green juice was good too. refreshing. but no toilet at the park so be warned!!!!! THE EGG SANDWICH was just okay. good to pick it up and run. next time maybe try other things too! i love how unique this menu is. :D read more

Incredible! Tucked away, with a beautiful waterfall and quaint seating, Carol's is a hidden gem! The food is so reasonable and absolutely delicious. Went for Essa-Bagel and the line was too long. Walked a half a block and got better food for cheaper! Absolutely will be coming here again. read more

Horrible attitude from the waitress. If you don't like something, tough luck, she double-charged us and thought we wouldn't notice. It's near a waterfall, but you can get anything else and eat near the waterfall with better customer service. I'm also pretty sure she spit in our food because I sent something back. So I came here for brunch and I'd say the location is the biggest redeeming part about the cafe. It's next to this gorgeous waterfall-super relaxing and definitely a hidden gem in bustling NYC. But I got the chicken wrap, which was pretty disappointing. Also, I didn't know it came with cheese and mayonnaise, neither of which I like or can eat a ton of since I'm lactose intolerant (and it wasn't in the menu description). So I was not happy about that. My friend got the vanilla cinnamon French toast, which he said was pretty good, but the toast squares were kind of small. Coffee was a little watery-they don't have milk substitutes either. Though prices were decent, I'll come back for the environment, but not necessarily for the food.. read more

Location was wonderful. The guy behind the register just ignored me for 20 minutes while getting other orders ready. I was the only one in line. He didn't even say that I will be with you in a minute. He could have easily wrote my order down...so that I could sit with my wife and enjoy the scenery while waiting. When I finally got my order...it was missing 1 of the 2 sausages and I got no toast that it was supposed to come with. No napkins, ketchup or syrup were given to me. My friend and I were planning to go to The Smith for breakfast but by the time we got there, breakfast wasn't served anymore. We bumped into Carol's Cafe and it was the thank goodness we didnt pay $20 for a piece of toast there. We both got Loaded which had pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 sausages and a hash brown for only $8!! Price was great for midtown and it was delicious. The overall path to the waterfall was super tranquil and calming, perfect for my friend and I to catch up. Carol's cafe is a small stand in Greenacre Cafe, one of Manhattan's privately owned public spaces with a secret waterfall! Based on one hour of people watching, people love to take photos here or just zone out. You don't hear any traffic because the sound of the water is so loud. I ordered the Carol's Special. 5 stars because although this place is just your standard deli food with your standard deli prices, the people working there are always super nice and fast with the food. Not to mention this is probably the world's most convenient location for a little concession stand. The waterfall is beautiful and blocks out all the noise of the city. This is the perfect spot to come to relax, meet someone, or study and grab a bite to eat I'm actually surprised that the prices are not super high because of the location and convenience but I'm not complaining. read more

Was a little walk up stand with a waterfall in our party was 3 adults and 4 kids found seating by the waterfall really nice spot the food was amazing the pancakes, eggs, bacon and also the bacon, egg sandwich the pineapple lemonade was the best I've had..
