We stumbled across this cute little spot afyer seeing all the varieties of Bagels I the window display. They have so many different varieties of cream cheese spreads in addition to soups, smoothies, coffee and more. We were able to watch thebguy making the Bagels shaped like pumpkins, super cool. The Bagels were delish and we really enjoyed the garlic and herb spread and the sun dried tomato spread. The coffee was meh but still ok. There is a cute little spot to sit upstairs where you can watch them make the bagels.

DECENT. I went for the Classic Salmon bagel and it really hit the spot. The cream cheese to bagel ratio was perfect - no skimping, but not overwhelming either. The salmon was genuinely fresh, and you get that satisfying briny burst from the capers in every few bites. Service was friendly and efficient. Ambiance was just fine, nothing special. The only pause is the price. At $17, it's a steep ask for a bagel, even a great one. You're getting a top-notch, reliable sandwich, but you're definitely paying a premium for the convenience.

    Bagels and spreads!

Traveled from Florida and are originally CT natives. We were on the search for a great bagel and happened upon Scoop. Highly recommend Scoop for ridiculously delicious bagels and spreads, fantastic coffee, and much more. There are great ready made sandwiches and fruit, yogurt and granola, smoothies, juices, acai bowls, and more. Last month it was warm enough to eat our bagels in the little park next door with a hidden waterfall. Today we ate upstairs with a view of the whole bagel making process. This is the place to go for bagels in midtown for sure and is our go-to breakfast place.

Iced coffee made with the best coffee i guess??? Better than Starbucks

Lots of good options. The French toast bagel was super good and the seating area upstairs is a nice quiet escape from the madness below

$25 for breakfast sandwhich and coffee? Sandwich had no flavor. Go down the street for half the price and better food.

The prices are just right and three of us ate with 4 beverages and tip for 65$. Not bad for New York. We had the pastrami on a plain bagel and two of the salmon specials on everything bagels. SO GOOD.

We stopped in around 9:30 AM on a Saturday, and the place was buzzing--a clear sign of its popularity. While it is strictly a "to-go" spot, the efficiency of the operation makes the morning rush manageable. The Logistics & Ordering The menu is expansive, spanning three screens with an incredible variety of bagel types, cream cheese flavors, meats, and cheeses. Despite the line, the ordering process was straightforward. A major plus: you have the option to have your bagel toasted before they assemble the sandwich. Our coffees were ready within 2-3 minutes, and the sandwiches followed about 10 minutes later--very reasonable given how busy they were. The Food I went with a classic Sausage, Egg, and Cheese on an Egg Bagel. * The Bagel: The egg bagel itself was phenomenal. It had that perfect, authentic texture that makes NYC bagels famous. * The Build: The sandwich was very generously portioned. Every bite was delicious, well-balanced, and exactly what you want from a hearty breakfast sandwich. The "Extras" One of the most charming and unexpected parts of BTS is their candy selection. They carry an array of nostalgic and "internet-famous" treats I didn't even realize were still in production (or existed at all!). Keep an eye out for: * Dr. Pepper Tic Tacs * Krispy Kreme Doughnut Jelly Beans * Strawberry Creams * Pickle Candy The Verdict Whether you're a local or just passing through, this is a top-tier spot for a reliable, high-quality NYC breakfast. Just be prepared for a crowd, but know that the payoff is worth the wait. If you are looking for a quintessential NYC bagel breakfast sandwich, Bagel to Sandwich (BTS) on W 40th is a must-visit.
