I am a healthcare professional myself so I know that chiropractors are not always good and in some cases are dangerous. Jean truly gives chiropractors a good name. She has great bedside manner and clearly has a passion for her profession. She asked a variety of questions and in the end got to the root of my problem. She thoroughly explained everything to me and I was able to get much needed relief from her treatment. I also appreciated that she uses a holistic approach. I have referred many friends and family members to Jean and they have all been impressed with her and have had great results.

From the day he moved in, he was always treated with respect and dignity. His room was bright, spacious, clean and welcoming. His private bathroom was spotless and provided plenty of room for his comfort. The dining room was charming and very comfortable. The furniture was very nice and he always had a nice group of residents to dine with. His diet was limited and what would be considered a special diet, and the staff always made sure that his meals were the best they could be. He never complained about any meal. His clothes were always clean and he was always tidy when I arrived to visit. During my visits with him, we would go to various activites that they were having for the residents. He particularly liked some of the singing sessions and he was always ready to dance! He also liked to go for little walks outside in the back yard. Whenever I wanted to take him out for a dinner, there was never any problem with the staff.' Speaking of staff....what wonderful people. I saw many of them love Richard for the person he was. He was always talked kindly to and touched gently when he needed to be guided to a direction. When Hospice entered in Richard's life, the staff of Somerford Place were there to assist them and me in the passing of Richard's life. I dont know if I would have been able to withstand the loss of my husband had it not been for the entire staff. These are fine people who dont consider this a "job" to care for our elderly loved one, but I think it is a "calling" I feel blessed that Richard had them in his life.

They take the time to get to know each resident. They know their likes, dislikes, preferences, and routines, and it shows in the quality of care they provide. I am close by and always feel comfortable popping in to take my mom to lunch, or to stay and visit with her and the other residents and staff. This is a smaller assisted living, so it feels more like a family than some of the larger facilities. The environment is clean, calm, and welcoming, and has a homey feel. My mom is always dressed nicely, with her hair brushed and nails done. Her bedroom and bathroom are always clean. This facility is tucked back in the woods at the center of a small waterfront community in Pasadena. They have a walking path that goes around the building that backs up to a wooded lot. The deer frequently come up and can be seen from a screened-in porch. We are so grateful to have found a place where my mom is genuinely cared for, respected, and truly at home.
