The only good thing to say about this place is that they seem to have two-three responsible workers there...everyone is INCOMPETENT, UNPROFESSIONAL and UNRELIABLE. They clearly take advantage of the FACT that most of their residents are senile, have dementia or not very aware of their surroundings. My family and I have witnessed workers cursing each other out in front of patients, workers arguing over who would perform service needed at time, a worker physically and verbally abusing an elderly wheel-chair bound patient who then posted it to Social Media and thought it was funny, my mother's ceiling leaked for over a month and a half and it was not until I made several phone calls and finally threatened to call the Board of Health and Family services that it was addressed. Her linen is continuously FILTHY, they put trashcans/hampers in her room to catch water, placed plastic bags over items and left all this in place for OVER A month. They finally move her into a room with a BROKEN refrigerator and BROKEN microwave BUT yet nobody told me or noticed. So her items went bad and I have yet to be reimbursed. I have requested several meetings and phone calls to no avail. At one time I had a mtg scheduled that was literally cancelled 2 hours before mtg. time and was told it would be rescheduled. I'm STILL waiting. Situations go UNNOTICED and UNADDRESSED. I have asked for the OWNER to call me over a WEEK ago to address ALL of these issues and I'm STILL waiting. Her room is always NASTY, the wash clothes and towels are dirty and dingy. Her laundry is never returned - many times I find other's items in with hers. And mind you, my mother has severe DEMENTIA so she is completely LOST and at their MERCY. The Board of HEALTH needs to do an INSPECTION here ASAP. The owner nor management cares nor bothers to return calls or messages. Half of the stuff on their WEBSITE and BROCHURES is FALSE and pure PROPAGANDA to get you in the DOOR. They do NOT have half of the SAFETY measures mentioned. The slot machines are FAKE and is used to TRICK you into thinking this would be a NICE friendly place for your LOVED one. I'm MOVING my mother ASAP. This PLACE is NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The grounds are very nicely kept and everyone inside seemed so nice. What a cool place too, they were serving wine and beer...I've never been to a senior home that served alcohol of any kind so they get cool points in my book. While many of the staff members appeared caring and helpful, one member of the night staff consistently demonstrated behavior that was uncaring, rude, and neglectful during the final days of my dear friend P, who was dying from terminal cancer. Repeatedly, this individual failed to administer prescribed medications, leaving P in unnecessary pain and distress. Another close friend, M, who had been assured by the owners prior to P's transfer that she could stay overnight and provide the 24/7 companionship P desperately wanted, politely notified the administration about this negligence. Instead of addressing the staff member's misconduct--which I believe warranted termination--the administration punished M by banning her from the facility during overnight hours. She was only permitted to visit between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, times when she was obligated to be at her full-time job. This decision devastated P, who was near death and deeply unhappy about losing her support system. Tragically, she died alone in the early morning hours, without the comfort of a loved one holding her hand. When we saw her, it was clear she had vomited, and we fear she may have choked or aspirated. Given the lack of routine night care, we have no way of knowing what truly happened or when she passed. We are brokenhearted that our friend, who had no family and relied solely on us, endured unnecessary suffering--both physical and emotional--because of the administration's choices. Families entrust assisted living facilities with the care of their most vulnerable loved ones, often at great financial cost. In this case, that trust was betrayed. For these reasons, I strongly advise against placing a loved one at Peartree Assisted Living in Pasadena, MD

From the outside, it looks very new, there are several outdoor spaces for the residents that look comfortable. The interior is quite welcoming, and there are several group rooms, there is an exercise area, hair spa, and daily activities. The rooms were clean, and all of the staff that I interacted with were great. During training, they took care of us, with breakfast and even left us with spa items to take home.
