With our last "bump" before the end of the river, I fell off my seat into the raft and couldn't even get back up.

The Bride and Groom were looking for a small, outdoor experience that was more than just "show up for 4 hours". In totality, we booked 11 cabins for a weekend of fun and laughter. Not a single complaint from any of the wedding guests. We were able to use the Nite Owl to host both a dinner the night prior, and a brunch the day after. We used the Pavilion for the wedding itself. The weather was fantastic, and the beauty of the property along the stream was serene! The staff leading up to the wedding and the weekend of were responsive and flexible. While we decided to limit the rentals on amenities, and as expected we forgot a couple of small items which the staff in the moment quickly supplied. Additionally, the business we hired for hair and makeup, late the night before the wedding cancelled on us....the concierge scrambled for us the morning of to find a replacement. I would highly recommend this location not just for a vacation getaway, but any small to medium event you and looking to plan!

They started off my stay right! The cabin was so clean, comfortable, and just beautiful. They really take exceptional care of the place. I was very impressed with how clean and neat it was! Top notch for sure. There are so many amenities in the cabins. The fireplaces inside and out, the hot tub, the whirlpool bath tub, pool table, everything! The bed was comfortable and cozy. The kitchen was awesome too!! Highly recommended cabins!!!

The Nantahala River Lodge is fantastic. This is the best place to stay in the area. The only reason…read moreI did not give it five stars is because there is no wifi in the lodge. I run a business, Wojdylo Social Media, and I need wifi even if it is not a strong signal. If I were getting away and taking clients to go fly fishing and golfing in the mountains it would be a challenge for me to run my business as I have email to check and social networks to update. I have AT&T which has absolutely zero service at the lodge. In fact, my service in the Nantahala River Gorge is very spotty. I will pick up service at NOC and as I get past Andrews but I will not have service anywhere in the Gorge. If internet and cell phone service do not matter to you this is definitely a five star location. The lodge is right along the Upper Nantahala River which is one of the best fly fishing rivers this side of the Mississippi. The river fishes much better in the fall and the spring compared to the summer. If you are going to take a trip to the Nantahala to go fly fishing I would strongly suggest going before June or after September 1st. This will give you optimal fly fishing conditions. Staying at the Nantahala River Lodge will allow you to fish, basically, from your back porch. It is also a great opportunity to bring a book and just get away. There are plenty of books and games in the house so even if you forget your entertainment you will still have something to read or play.

We had 6 adults and 1 child and had plenty of space. The lodge is conveniently located close to the NOC and a lot of hiking trails, but you could stay at the lodge and have a great vacation. We can't wait to plan out next vacation.

It's sooooooo cozy and cute in here - I don't actually ever want to leave. You're secluded but also close to town for anything you need. ALL supplies you need are all here which is awesome. The owner called us to see how we were doing and to make sure we are enjoying our stay. I could go on and on but for real, and for a reasonable price, come stay here and experience the awesome yourself

I was worried it might be too small, but it was just right! I stayed in the loft bedroom's king sized bed and my friend stayed on the queen sized sleeper sofa downstairs. We had perfect timing and got to see the leaves changing color and enjoy the cool weather (being from South Florida these are both unusual!) We cooked some of our meals at the cabin in the well-stocked kitchen. There is a full fridge, stove/oven and a full set of dishes, glasses, cooking utensils and silverware. It got cold enough that we made hot apple cider and lit the wood burning fireplace. It was also nice to have the hot tub to soak in after a day out on the town in the cold. The nearby town of Helen is an adorable Bavarian Alpine Village with great little shops and restaurants. We also drove to nearby Dahlonega to check out the shops and artists there. We were able to go horseback riding at the Sunburst Stables in Clarkesville and we also took a trip to the North Georgia Zoo in Cleveland - I highly recommend both! I can't wait to come back in the summer to enjoy some more outdoor activities like tubing on the Chattahoochee River or boating on Unicoi Lake at Unicoi State Park.

It's only about a 2hr drive from where I am but there was a bit of traffic getting out of atlanta on a wed afternoon when we left so we didn't get in till dark. I called to say we might miss the office check in hours (till 6pm) so they kindly left the key in the cabin for us for whenever we arrived which was very helpful. The rooms were clean and kitchen and bathroom had pretty much everything you needed. We also utilized the charcoal grill. Only complaint was the lighting was a tad dark during the night but maybe it's to help you relax. Loved the view of the lake from the cabin, it was beautiful to wake up to. We were also able to bring our dog for a $60 fee. House rule does say no dog on bed so keep that in mind. There was a little doggy station on site and we were able to walk him around the property to potty. He enjoyed his stay and we liked going to the nearby trials in the morning/afternoon for a hike. There's an ingles nearby as well as some other restaurants if you need food options like McDonald's, Dunkin, couple of Pizza chains, and whatever a small town typically has to offer. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Have made so many precious memories of our times together. Pictures of the great grandkids growing from year to year. Taking turns making meals & the fun & of exchanging gifts. The dirty Santa gift swap. Wouldn't trade it for anything. Jeanette is a fantastic hostess. Couldnt be more helpful. Have come to regard her as a friend. Cabins are the best. Will continue as long as we are physically able. Leaving today for a rare 3 night stay on a summer vacation at cabin #3. Can't wait. Highly recommend to all.

We wish we could buy one for ourselves lol. The views aren't substantial, but the location was prime for reaching all of our destinations easily. This layout and floor plan easily accommodated all of us comfortably. If you are worried about space, don't even sweat it. I bet it could fit double with zero issues. All the amenities worked and Jeanette is so timely in responses and getting our needs met. There is something for everyone, seriously. The only bad thing you could possibly say is that the roads to get into the cabins is a bit confusing and a bit technical to drive with a full size truck and trailer. However, once you're in, you just hate to leave. I found at the end of every long day of riding, I was so happy to get to come home to Wildflower cabin #1 as my home. We checked in with friends who rented another cabin #7 and they raved about it as well. Look no further for your family lodging needs, this is the place you are looking for! =)
