Beautiful place! In the middle of no where but that's what we wanted. The cabins are homey, hoy tubs in each, remote and intimate setting. This is a good romantic setting with easy day trips around the area. Everything was very clean, worked well and was well worth the price. The heat worked well in our cabin but the fireplace got blown out constantly. We were told how to avoid it but it still got blown out even if we opened only one door. Phone service doesn't exist within 30 mins of the cabin so no service at all and their WiFi is expensive. They go have cool add ons thst are expensive but seemed nice like couples massages, bbq nights, brunches and childcare but only if the kids are above age 2.

I really wish I could give this place more than 5 star because It's absolutely beautiful!! My husband planned a surprise trip for myself and our 5 month old son to celebrate my bday, our Anniversary and Valentines Day. I had no idea where we were go going until we pulled up to the cabin. I hadn't been in that part of NC b4 so I was completely clueless which made the surprise and impact of how beautiful the place was even more profound. It may seem like a bit much, but I honestly cried a little as I walked through this cabin called "Between the Falls"! I immediately felt at peace especially when I went out on the deck and just listened to the Falls. Anyone we encountered that worked there were very friendly and informative. We went to the closest town about 20 miles away just to pick up so essentials for breakfast and grilling out. Again, everyone we talked to was friendly. Back at the cabin we enjoyed every bit of the cabin: the hot tub, inside and outside fireplace, jacuzzi tub (first time for our son), Porch swing, rocking chairs, fully stocked kitchen, comfy bed and sofa, pool table and even scampered up to the loft for a snooze. Out of everything, the best thing had to be the Falls. Especially when you walked outside. We were just engulfed by the calming sound. Even my son dozed off looking and listening to the Falls as I rocked him on the porch swing. I really can't say enough good things about this place. They did offer some additional services for a fee like eatting on site or even having a personal meal prepared in your cabin. I know there's also more things to do when the weather is warmer. We definitely will be back.

Fabulous wedding in October! In late 2024, we went out on a limb, sight unseen and booked the Cherokee Mountain Cabins for our daughters wedding. The Bride and Groom were looking for a small, outdoor experience that was more than just "show up for 4 hours". In totality, we booked 11 cabins for a weekend of fun and laughter. Not a single complaint from any of the wedding guests. We were able to use the Nite Owl to host both a dinner the night prior, and a brunch the day after. We used the Pavilion for the wedding itself. The weather was fantastic, and the beauty of the property along the stream was serene! The staff leading up to the wedding and the weekend of were responsive and flexible. While we decided to limit the rentals on amenities, and as expected we forgot a couple of small items which the staff in the moment quickly supplied. Additionally, the business we hired for hair and makeup, late the night before the wedding cancelled on us....the concierge scrambled for us the morning of to find a replacement. I would highly recommend this location not just for a vacation getaway, but any small to medium event you and looking to plan! read more
I had a wonderful experience with my stay at these cabins. I had the Hideaway cabin and loved every minute of it. The staff at check in was great. They were friendly and very welcoming. They started off my stay right! The cabin was so clean, comfortable, and just beautiful. They really take exceptional care of the place. I was very impressed with how clean and neat it was! Top notch for sure. There are so many amenities in the cabins. The fireplaces inside and out, the hot tub, the whirlpool bath tub, pool table, everything! The bed was comfortable and cozy. The kitchen was awesome too!! Highly recommended cabins!!! read more

Such an amazing place. We really enjoyed our weekend get-a-way. The dishes in the kitchen were very nice, well stocked. The hot tub was wonderful, we loved being right on the creek. It was so peaceful to nap my creek in the hammock. The cabin was in great condition and was very clean. It's a gem, and there is NO cell service which was amazing. We can't wait to go back soon!! read more

*** DISCRIMINATION *** RACIST *** 3 months ago, we, along with another couple rented a Cabin. LESS THAN ONE WEEK before we fly into NC for our trip, "Patrick Graham", GM, decides to tell us our cabin won't be ready (due to construction) and we would be cabin-hopping from a small cabin to a 3 bedroom BUT on the last night (Saturday) we would have to vacate and be put up in a Best Western since another party would be arriving Saturday. I asked why would we be asked to move twice and then have to vacate a third time for a Best Western? Patrick's answer? "This is my offer...I am sorry." I asked why he could not allow us one more night in the cabin before we fly home on Sunday and to please offer an option to the party that has not even arrived yet. Over and over, Patrick again refused to inconvenience anyone but us. After feeling the vibe of how we would be treated, we were looking for other options (and as luck would have it, we found a luxury cabin in another town for our entire week's stay). As we called back to Patrick to advise him of our decision, he had already cancelled our entire stay anyway. A female staff member who answered the phone just laughed and laughed. Can you even imagine? I am very upset by the way we were handled not only by the staff but by a "general manager" whose goal is to single out its guests. This is discrimination at its finest. The owner of Cherokee Mountain Homes should know how some of its "potential" guests are treated. Apparently, if you "aren't like them you don't get in. Patrick, I hear you LOUD and CLEAR. Disgusting! read more

Greatest getaway weekend yet. We stayed in the sanctuary for 3 days and never left. We contemplated driving into town for dinner but then found a personal chef that brought at 5 star dinner right to our door for about the same price as a decent meal. read more

I was very disappointed with General Manager Patrick Graham of Cherokee Mountain Cabins. Due to hurricane Florence, it was necessary for my daughter and her husband to cancel their reservation to Cherokee Mountain Cabin. That week they would have been traveling from Florida and the traffic congestion from evacuations, no promise of fuel, along with flooding would have be hazardous for their safety and well being. It is very unfortunate that they were not given a voucher for a future trip, if was their wedding anniversary and looked forward to the trip. They saved for a year to make this trip possible. They were told when they called during the week of the hurricane that they would give them a voucher to use at another time within the year. Mr. Graham told them to call Saturday for an update. When they did, they were told that he could not give them a voucher because the weather was fine. My daughter and her husband lost their $1,200 and given an apology. You would think with a category 4 hurricane that covered most of the state of N. Carolina that they could have given a voucher for another date and time, as was told to them. Shame on you Mr. Graham, you obviously don't have a conscious. I believe in karma and what goes around comes around. read more
