Note only Kirstie, but all of the teachers too are committed to the students and create a very positive learning environment. Finally, the students are wonderful providing positive support to one another and put in a great deal of hard work. As I said before, the studio is truly a gem. The teachers make the class so much fun for the kids and my daughter left class singing, "I love tutu school! I love tutu school! I love tutu school!" They even provide diapers and a changing table in the bathrooms for the younger students. They sell tutus and leotards and other adorable clothes. They also have tons of ballet themed books on shelves as well as toys to keep kids busy before or after class starts/for siblings who are waiting. Also, the instructors seem to always provide a 5 minute grace period to allow for parents to make it to class a few minutes late. They don't start immediately which is very considerate for parents of young children. I highly recommend tutu school to anyone who is unsure or on the fence. They were absolutely above and beyond/ exceeded my expectations. For reference, my daughter has also tried daisy dance and twinkle tots (different ballet schools) and tutu school was hands down the best option by far.

Now I admit it's only been a few months but we're having a ball ;-). We were fortunate to get Melanie as our instructor and she has been great with us. Patient, strong, fun are all words I'd use to describe Melanie. We'll never be competitive ballroom dancers but that wasn't our goal. The goal was to get into better shape and have fun. Mission in process of being accomplished. So, if you're looking for a GREAT group of people to join with to have a wonderful time while you're learning to dance, I couldn't recommend A Step to Gold and Melanie more highly.

Parking in the Permit lot was fairly easy, however it is a One Way, and you must bring your patience when exiting after the show. Try to find nearby street parking to avoid a traffic jam. I was lucky to score an Orchestra seat front row in A6. The best seat in the house! Plenty of leg room, comfortable and the best view of the stage. I've never sat behind the Orchestra booth, so this was a treat ! This was my first visit to Little Raleigh Theatre and I am very impressed. This production was impeccable. Tia James did a phenomenal job directing. The cast was perfectly tailored to each character and I appreciated that. What a talented cast ! The music was beautiful and the set design blew me away !!! The acting was stellar ! This was in my honest opinion, better than the 2024 Warner Brothers film. By far! I am planning to return again soon. We laughed. We cried. We danced. We sang ! Much thanks to the staff who run a tight ship. Very organized and excellent customer service. I look forward to attending more performances in the near future. I recently discovered that they also offer acting/ vocal / dance classes for adults at any level. I am excited to enroll this fall and I'm happy to hear that they are bringing classes to convenient city park community centers. A dream come true for me to tap back into my talents and childhood interests.
