I have to say..I am blown away by the reviews for this phenomenal psychologist. I saw Donna when…read moreshe was first starting out almost 40 years ago. Donna literally saved my life. I know if it wasn't for her, I would not be here today. Can Donna be tough? Absolutely! You don't go to a psychologist for them to pat your hand and coddle you. If you want that, take your friend out for coffee. Donna was able to take me from being highly treatment resistant to being in remission and having a 36 year marriage with a wonderful family. Finally, the work Donna did with me that I have not needed to seek additional help until recently. I was looking up to return to Donna, but don't think the care I needed at this time required the level of treatment given at a psychologist level and her office is 1+hours from my home. I will also say in working with the LCPC I am working with now, it has been said that it is obvious that the work I had done in the past with Donna was excellent and this was just a refresher. So take it from a 58 year old woman that didn't think I'd live to see 23, this psychiatric nurse who became a psychologist knows her stuff.

She is cocky, rude, and thinks she's excellent at her chosen profession, which is blatantly incorrect. She also has a way of looking at you, and doing this smug smile. When she does this, she's subconsciously saying 'Don't you think I'm pretty?' No Donna, you're not. You're old, and maybe once you were, but your lack of humility took that away. You need to retire.

I had the privilege of working with Marie for a meaningful period of my mental health journey, and…read moreI can confidently say that she is an exceptional therapist. If you're even considering working with her. Please do. I came to Marie to work on issues related to attachment, and not only did I feel heard in ways I never had with previous therapists, but I was actually excited to attend the upcoming sessions. Her presence is incredibly gentle and supportive, but what truly sets her apart is the depth of knowledge and insight she brings into every conversation. She doesn't just help you identify what's happening, she helps you understand why and how it all connects. Thanks to her, I feel like a completely different person. My self-confidence has grown tremendously, and my relationships are far healthier and more secure. Marie is deeply intuitive, adaptable, and compassionate. She meets you exactly where you are and walks beside you without judgment. No matter your background or concern, I truly believe anyone could benefit from working with Marie. That said, I also encourage you to look into her specific areas of specialty, she brings a lot of depth to those spaces as well.

I lost years of my life and much of the optimism and joy I once had. I am finally getting help that better fits what I believe was the real problem, but I can never recover the decades that were lost. While my former therapist has moved on with her career, I am still living with the consequences of those years. That is a devastating reality, and I would want anyone considering treatment to know my experience.

Dr Z listened, asked questions, gave me candy (ok that always works to improve my mood) and did'nt say anything negative to me that wasn't true and offered advice and how I could realistically change. I can't say enough good stuff about Dr Zamick. She has helped me and my wife with marriage counseling, business counseling, gotten me through the hardest times of my adult life and probably saved my life getting me through addiction issues with prescription meds after a spinal surgery. She has been patient, kind and hard as nails when it was needed. Dr Zamick's office in old town is very relaxing, smells nice and is very clean. She deals with most major counseling issues and has worked with my weird hours for my business. My wife Cherish and I both see her together and seperately and we advise our friends to come see her as well. I didn't know what to expect when I was looking for a Pisces, female, empathic, Jewish Psychologist (yeah I know I'm picky) but I got a great counselor!! 5 Stars!!

Her time and dedication to bringing me back to life and improving my mental health were unmatched. She has always been available through text/email and even last minute sessions at the very end of the night where she had already had a full day. Our first year together was a battle. I was very stubborn in my viewpoint and we would consistently butt heads in the therapeutic process until one day - it just clicked. All the whiteboards images, and walkthroughs, all the examples and stories it just became so clear. So clear and now ingrained that if I try to go back to my old way of thinking or processing a literal cramp goes through my brain as if Jill was there with an electric shock button correcting my course of action. The closest people in my life have seen my growth and are envious of therapeutic relationship I have found with Jill. I, unfortunately, am leaving Chicago and was terrified to lose what we have built together that once again she has taken the extra step to enable virtual sessions so I can continue my progress and keep up with my new healthy lifestyle. If you want a change in your life and are willing to do the work even when the sessions make you want to relapse, go back and keep pushing. It's hard. Mental health is like exercising. It hurts but it feels so good when you accomplish a great session. Jill will never give up on you, but you must not give up on yourself.
