The office has always been a chaotic mess -- rude staff, long waits, and zero organization -- but we stayed because of him. Then out of nowhere, we get a letter saying he's "retiring" and would no longer accept state insurance. It felt like a punch in the gut after years of loyalty. Imagine my shock when, nearly two years later, he's still there -- fully practicing -- just not taking state insurance anymore. I called recently and said I had private insurance, and suddenly he's more than happy to take new patients. That's not retirement. That's deception. He didn't just make a business decision -- he lied to families who trusted him. Turning his back on long-time patients to cherry-pick who's "worth it" is beyond low. It says everything about his character. The office is a disaster, and clearly, integrity isn't a priority there either.

She explained it so that I was not so worried. She did an excellent eye exam and, rather than giving me glasses right away had me come back for a followup exam to make sure the medication was out of my system and that my eyes had stopped changing. We discussed the amount of correction (something I have never had anyone willing to do before) and I chose not to be corrected all the way to 20/20 so that I would not need bifocals to see my dashboard when I drive. My eye exam was on 6/18 and my I picked up my glasses on 6/21. To my delight they are perfect. Having been given incorrect lenses before, I was pleased that there will be no need to return for corrections, or complaints. I can't recommend Dr. Dao highly enough. As someone who works in a field related to vision I am extremely impressed with the service I received from her and from the Eye Care Group.

I was given an incorrect pair of glasses by the Guilford shop and told to wear it, until I got use to it. No kidding!! I was seeing the world through a fish-bowl. The In Focus people suggested I immediately make an appointment with Dr. Bowen who would start anew and write up a new script for me. Dr. Bowen did evaluate me and her script was perfectly accurate and very different than what others had erroneously written. Instead of trying to steal me away, Noelia an employee of In Focus shop called the shop in Guilford and explained to them what they had to do in order to give me a workable pair of glasses. It took weeks if not months before I would receive a pair of glasses from the Guilford shop. I decided to order my 2nd pair of glasses from In Focus. Within days I had the pair and by comparison the process was wonderfully smooth and without difficulty. I could see like an Eagle. No more fish bowls for me!! The people of In Focus know their business. A special thanks to Noelia for all her efforts to help me. I got to know everyone on a first name basis: Stacy, Boh, and Herb are all top notch in my opinion. I switched over to Dr. Bowen for the future. Some other points to mention: The prices for glasses at In Focus were reasonable. They were able to complete my order in a few days. They did not make any mistakes. Dr Ann Carone took meticilous care and immediately we had instant rapport to ask any question through the testing.
