Sailed on Carnival Celebration for the first time from February 21-March 1st, 2026. The ship itself is very new, well kept and has multiple restaurants and attractions for everyone. The restaurants that were unique to this ship compared to the last one I was on were the " Chi-Bang", Cucina del Capitano, Teppanyaki and the steakhouse. I also really enjoyed the pizza from the " pizzeria del capitano" as it was very thin and had fresh ingredients! We did eat at the " cucina del capitano" one night for free, but it wasn't anything special, so I wouldn't go again for $8 per person. The rest of the cruise food was the average meals that you get on all ships--- a bit on the heavier side and tough on my digestive system, but it was nice to have the opportunity to skip the seated dinners to eat a quick salad at the buffet or have other lighter meal. In regards to the layout of this ship, I felt that it was a bit confusing and I definitely missed having the central atrium that was present in all other ships. However, we were fortunate enough to have a room in floor 16 so we could be close to the Lido and serenity. Speaking of serenity--- on previous ships, this was on the back of the boat and thus made for a less windy experience, whereas this time it was located on the front of the boat and you were lucky if your food or towels didn't blow away. My other critique of Celebration is that many attractions required an additional cost--- if you're going to advertise a " roller coaster at sea!" , then you shouldn't be charging guests an additional $15 per person to ride it ONCE. Our local 6 Flags has better deals than that. Furthermore due to the high winds and chilly temperatures during our cruise, the " Bolt" rollercoaster was closed more often than it was open. As a result, when we tried to book a ride, they were all sold out. The ropes course and the water slides are free, thankfully, but one of the slides was broken during our trip, so that was a bummer. In regards to the shows and entertainment on this ship, Carnival Celebration blew all the other ships out of the water ( pun intended). Color my world, We Are One, Noche Cubana, and the circus show were absolutely AMAZING. I felt like I was watching some " cirque du Soleil" shows on the cruise ship, and was very impressed! As usual, their Punchliner comedy shows were also hilarious, and they were always a great end to the evening. Overall, due to the greediness of the owners of the ship in making us pay extra for random unnecessary things, I give the ship a 4/5. That rating also includes the fact that, despite advertising " Celebration Key" as a Carnival owner island, all the activities one would want to partake in cost money. I wish cruise ships would stop getting greedy and instead focus on keeping their customers happy by avoiding extra unnecessary charges. read more

Overall the seven day cruise was fun and relaxing. What I like about this Carnival cruise was the party atmosphere and the variety of food options that we enjoyed without additional costs. The suite life was definitely not as great as Royal Caribbean! The things that we like were the spa shower, the Loft deck (for suite guests use only) and the complimentary bottle of wine. The best perk for booking a suite was the nice size of the room. Unlike Royal Caribbean there was no suite lounge or daily reception. No concierge for booking spa treatments, fine dining etc! There was no coffee available in the suite. There were no treats left by the room attendant. There is reserved seating at all events on Royal not Carnival. Carnival only allowed one meal on their private island Celebration Key (after that you have to pay) Royal provides an endless buffet. There was no private area for suite guests like on Royal Caribbean's private island. The thing I disliked the most about this Carnival cruise was the presence of so much security they were three or four deep everywhere on the ship. In the Limelight club the DJ stopped the music, the lights were turned on and security addressed cruisers with drinks in there hands and no shoes on the dance floor (this happened 4 times while we were there during which the DJ scorned the crowd) It was so tacky. Didn't go back there again. We ate most nights at the Lido Marketplace ( buffet). I like having choices and the food was generally good with the exception of the chicken three times we found it undercooked. The ChiBang restaurant was underwhelming. The appetizers were good the dinner entrees so much. Guys burger joint was delicious just a little salty. The coffee offered in the Lido Marketplace was weak. We had to buy coffee everyday to get a decent cup. The cruise staff were really friendly. The New Year's Eve event was okay. (I like the two Royal Caribbean new years cruises better.) We skipped visiting St. John and Amber Cove ports opting to enjoy the quiet boat instead. Disembarking the boat was quick and easy because we got to the staging area very early and carried our own luggage. Though the walk pushing my luggage back to the car was no fun. read more

Talk about enjoyable excursion destinations on what turned out to be a rather subpar cruise ship. First setting sail in 2022, this mega-sized behemoth can handle anywhere from 5,300 to over 6,600 passengers at its fullest capacity. A literal floating city and by far the largest of ships we've ever sailed on. However, quantity doesn't necessarily mean quality. But from the time we first embarked from the Port of Miami and dropped off our luggage in our assigned deck 10 cabin; 269. To returning to find my bag of Lays barbecue potato chips missing from the top dresser drawer, my wife had purchased for me before our boarding, things just didn't sit well with us. A cabin steward that never seemed to go much out of his way when asking for things like, ice. Kind of the attitude with half of the crew was our observation. The buffet is the most limited in variety I've ever experienced on previous ships. And very average tasting in quality; breakfast, lunch or dinner and sometimes taking on the semblance of leftovers. Though we always dined in the main dining room for dinner. That food was at least mostly above average in quality. Now back to the buffet area, unlike our last cruise on the Princess Sapphire in 2023, where there was always someone at the entrances requesting hands be washed first, not on this trip! My wife and I were two of the very rare visitors to the soap and water first. Now true, 2023 was much closer to the recent pandemic and our Princess deck had passengers quarantined for at least a week nearby our cabin. But this recent Carnival cruise has also had a number of reports of coming down with COVID, even while we were still at sea, here in 2025. The ship also looks worn in places after only its third year in service. That buffet dining area has cushioned seating busting with unsightly rips everywhere you look. We did enjoy our private balcony, especially when our nextdoor neighbors weren't being too loud. And the Bolt rollercoaster was fun and free for our special travel agent group; others ride for $15.00. And there's a huge casino for gamblers that we only passed back and forth through. We just don't look forward to ever setting sail, for future getaways, on Carnival Celebration again. Now our excursions off of the ship; Nassau Bahamas, Amber Cove and Puerto Plata Dominican Republic and Grand Turk were great! Gold Card member yay!!!! I went on a Mother's Day Cruise 2024 and just returned home. Carnival Celebration owes me nothing. Check in process, embarking and debarking was speedy . Website paperwork was easy to access, my cruise travel agent Audra Cook did an amazing job on my cruise package. All staff from taking our luggage from shuttle to getting it on the ship , to our cruise director Lee, housekeeping staff, cooks, entertainment, comedians, servers , guest services etc did an amazing job. Kudos for being so attentive, helpful and friendly. This ship is huge , many directions to go. Download the Carnival Hub app and it's the ship directory in your hands. So informative. A hr by hr detailed itenary of activities. Also help you see and or make reservations, restaurants names , shore excursions, planners . They have a new process where you can pay $5 to chat across the site to friends and families. Heads up whoever you want to chat with must pay :( I felt this should automatically be available at least to your room to be able to find each other . The ship is huge and you're bound to lose track of each other in 7 days. (Ijs) . Food was delicious, EVERYTHING in my opinion, if you didn't like something, pick up something else simple. We tried Rudi's Seagrill , Fahrenheit 555, and Bonsai Teppanyaki. Each place gives you a starter, appetizer, Entree and dessert. So much food . Drinks were amazing!!! This was my families second cruise on the Carnival Celebration and we LOVE this ship. So many FREE places to eat, I especially love Shaq's Big Chicken restaurant. There are also tons of activities to do onboard. We especially love BINGO and Deal or No Deal. My husband winning $500 in BINGO made it even better! read more

I have very mixed reviews on this one. I'm torn so I will give it a 3.5. I've cruised with Carnival multiple times, but this time was the worst. New boat, but that's it. I'll start with my luggage. My luggage wasn't delivered to my room until late. About 7pm. We sailed off at 4. I checked in at 1130 am, so why so long for my bag to be delivered? So many people were looking an waiting on bags. The two people who I dropped my bags with in my group got their bags hours before me but they were on the same cart. Made no sense. Cleanliness- the level of cleanliness I've experienced on Carnival has declined. Almost everyday, I found hair in my bed, in the showers, or somewhere in the room. My floors weren't vacuumed or if they were, not well. Food- There were so many options to choose from but not many were good. Everything was super bland. I had nachos with no cheese....where is this done at?!? The specialty restaurants should've been regular because there was nothing special about them. Also, everyone doesn't eat pork, so why would you use a utensil for cutting pork items and then non-pork items! I think they should get dietary restrictions and work as such. There were a lot of fun things to do on this boat. There were a lot of great shows on this boat. You barely could enjoy any of them because of the space available or just being overly crowded. I understand this boat had about 6500 people on it. They needed more adult areas/pools. Serenity area was always slammed packed. All pools were crowded. So it was a no for me. There was a group of 9 of us who went. Majority hadn't cruised before and they had a blast. I had fun and didn't. Our ports were awesome. Not sure if I'll do another Carnival after this one. Oh, this is specifically about the USVI port! No one should be harassed as bad as we were here. You come to enjoy the area but were asked 100 times about buying some jewelry from those Carnival connected stores....I'm on vacation and I don't care about Tanzanite! I'll go to a reputable jewelry store and buy what I want. Leave me alone! This is the worst part about it! Anyway, if you e made it this far, you get it....I didn't really love this cruise. With this being the newest ship in Carnival's fleet, it was very new looking, sleek, and had plenty to do on board. The food exceeded my expectations, and the staff were as wonderful as can be. The ship layout however, is very strange, and I honestly didn't like it. The main theater on the side of the middle of ship just doesn't work, and walking anywhere requires navigating through a maze. I think this ship is a step in the right direction for Carnival, but the ship is still lacking. I think a better interior design would make this a truly spectacular ship. I want to start off by saying that the ship itself is Beautiful with the best food I have ever had on a Carnival ship and I have been sailing with Carnival for close to 30 years. The 2 stars is based off the fact that upon entering our room, I found three dirty towels right away. Then I found one of our neatly folded hand towels had what looked like someone wiped their butt with.... Disgusting. I have photos and may post them soon. Secondly, I received 7 nasty spider bites on my foot and leg. I also have photos of these and no they aren't mosquito bites, nor did I bring the spider with me. This was my 16th cruise with Carnival and I must say this was a nice ship. Everything was great from the time I walked on the ship until it was time to leave. The food was good so many food options I didn't get to try out every thing. The newer ships are really a change of pace for me since I've been cruising awhile. Staff is always wonderful and will accommodate you the best way that they can. Only downfall i really dontt care for on thr newer ships are the auditorium are not the biggest, so if you looking to see a show u might want to get a head start about 30 mins prior. read more

The service was okay.When I walked in to the comedy room there was this Lady being so rude and nasty and disrespectful like was guarding the door the whole time. The food was warm I wish they had a microwave. The elevators took a long time to come also the elevators was skipping floors and everybody wanted to get on the elevator. I did a Tour on upon embarkation at cloud 9, I along with my cabin mate was handed a sign in roster and was never told that we were signing up for to join the Thermal portion for the duration of my cruise, which cost $170.00. Once we returned from Puerto Rico (day4) we realized that our card had been charged. Myself and others did not know that we were signing up, for a membership, and that a fee was included. After visiting guest services and explaining the misunderstanding, and making them aware that we never visited Cloud 9 therapy and never received the sticker that we later found out that should have been placed on the sign and sail card. We were instructor go back to Cloud 9, to dispute the charges. Carnival guest service Reps, we're not accommodating nor did they initially try to resolve the issue. My card was flagged , I had no internet, my numbers on my freestyle Libre grew and elevated up to 315. After going back to cloud 9 we were further humiliated, accused of signing up and threatened to call security on. I am devastated and truly disgusted with the way the was handled. After 1hour and 40 minutes my continued efforts were finally recognize. We have yet to be compensated for the humiliation and shame that we received. Carnival needs to take customer service into high regards. I will be filing a complaint with all the names included. I have no intentions of returning to the Carnival Celebration cruise ship sailing from Miami. This was the worse experience that I have had. I traveled with family and friends and guests of a party of 61. This experience has impacted my life forever. read more

Should be called Carnival Frustration. Boat is beautiful (except for the under-filtered swimming pools clouded with human filth that I couldn't drink enough liquor to want to swim in). The performers, food service and cleaning staff were great, however Carnival policies, procedures, protocol, logistics and communication are nothing less than a cluster$!@@$, utter nonsense. We paid for FTTF, and got faster to the BS. Our luggage was supposed to be in our cabin when we boarded. It was so late that I had to miss mother's day dinner in the steakhouse bc I had nothing clean or appropriate to wear after traveling to the port and boarding. They had the audacity to say that I should have called ahead to cancel if I wanted my money back. That would make sense if ANYONE would have answered the phone in ANY department that day. Guest services "special number" for us FTTF suckers didn't answer for 3 days, not kidding. The 2 times I tried to use the "express line" for guest services, they were so unhelpful, they didn't even look at my info to give me a generic half-a$$ed answer that was zero help. I'll save the scathing review for the disaster excuse of an excursion for later, since it will take too long, but I will say they didn't refund me. They have a roller coaster on the ship that I tried to go on 3 different times and still didn't get to ride. The first time it was too windy (which I get), the second I had to go back for closed toe shoes, at which point they could have told me that I needed short (I was in a dress), so the third time they did tell me after I went all the way back 12 decks down for the shoes. I still couldn't ride. When I asked if men's swim trunks were ok, they said yes ‍. So apparently a man's junk rattling around on the seat in a wet suit is ok, but god forbid a woman's dry fabric dress isn't. They didn't refund my money for the last reservation. I've been on Carnival 2 other times about 7 years ago, and they were great, but I'm not using them again. At debarkation, we were told it was time to meet but not where to meet nor get off, then told 3 different decks by 3 different people. I'm writing this review while waiting outside the terminal in Miami heat waiting 2 hours for missed luggage thanks to the chaotic mess of debarkation and listening to power-tripping terminal employees screaming at people barely a few feet away like we're animals instead of guests now that we're not being sucked dry by upcharges. So I got an AMAZING deal for an 8 day cruise to aruba curaco and bonaire and I took it. My sister and i celebrated our birthdays and we had a fantastic time. The food was redundant at the buffet but that's to be expected. Breakfast bounced back and forth between pancakes and bacon or French toast and sausage. The drinks were amazing especially the Lychee martini in the casino which was always provided to us by Nelson who was absolutely amazing, by the end he knew our drink orders and where we would be in the casino. The rooms are your normal cruise rooms nothing special but we were only ever in there for sleeping and showering. The serenity area is such a relaxing place and if you find the right area the breeze is perfect. I never got into the pool because they are usually crowded except for on port days. My favorite lunch spot was the salad bar called fresh creations in the serenity area topped with chicken from shaqs chicken. They also had Gelato in the buffet during lunch and of course ice cream machines that had frozen yogurt flavors were vanilla chocolate and strawberry. The strawberry wasn't good in my opinion. The comedians were hilarious and i did tend to prefer them over the shows in the middle of the ship but the game shows in the main auditorium were great. Leon the cruise director was amazing and Bam the host for most comedy shows was a sweetheart. I miss being on the boat but 8 days is a long time! read more

First of all. If you are paying for a drink package, there is a five minute wait between drinks. So if you plan on requesting a bucket of beer, that cost extra.which is so fucking stupid. You have to scan your card to use the soda fountain in the buffet. Bro wtf is that shit?! WE PAY FOR A FUCKING DRINK PCKAGE!!!!! Princess Cruise will honor the drink package to its fullest extent. One time payment and the drinks flow. Second, the Buffet is ass. I went through basic training and tasted better food than this crap. The breakfast is super fucking greasy and they use the shit from yesterday's breakfast. Biscuits are rock hard you can chip your tooth on it. The servers are fuuucking laaazzzyyy they will avoid all sorts of fucking eye contact to avoid having to do shit. You'll have 8 stupid ass chefs assistants standing around with their hands in their pocket to make sure we don't run out of utensils. God forbid you ask for a bowl of steamed rice and they'll straight up lie to your face. Posted a picture of the dumbasses name (most likely a fake ass name, I swear they do not look like the name tag matches). I watched a whole party of old people get up to refill the smallest fucking cups on earth just get a sip of water. You end up having people hanging out by the drink fountains to hydrate and refill and then they'll take the cup back to your table. The same garbage options for breakfast all the way around. Forget about the burritos. Forget about big chicken breakfast sandwiches. Third, they shut down the adult section hours early. Serenity area is for adults only so you want have no stupid teenagers running through cursing up a storm to one of their cringe stories for the world to hear. Instead they shut the bar down and close off the hot tubs so you are forced to make your way into the family sections with DISGUSTING CHILDREN WHO AREN'T ALWAYS SUPERVISED AND THEY WILL TRY TO TROLL YOU. Watched a teenager get smacked for throwing a golf ball from the top deck at some adults in the hot tub below. That shiiitt was comedy! Fourth, there is always some fucking gimmick with little things like towels for the pool. You check them out and if you don't check them back in, theirs an automatic charge. If you prepay the gratuity and eat at one of their restaurants. They will automatically add an additional gratuity charge if you don't tip. You pay for the drinks in your cabin if it is opened, regardless of the drink package. Fifth, the two star is generous as fuck. Definitely the cheapest option for a cruise. But not worth it. Princess Cruise is the best out there! Expensive but no extra charges after you've made the one time payment. read more

My family and I sailed aboard the Carnival Celebration on a trip out of Miami to Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic; San Juan, Puerto Rico and Saint Thomas, Virgin Islands from May 7-13 2023. It was an amazing trip that we will remember for the rest of our lives. The ship, which is the current flagship for Carnival Cruise Lines, is gigantic! According to some information I found online, "coming in at 1,130 ft long and 137 ft wide, it's roughly the length of 3.1 football fields, as wide as 2.6 tractor trailers, and the same height as a 17-story building." Yeah this is big. There is plenty to do on the Celebration as it is sailing from port to port. There are trivia games, a video arcade, bars, a mini golf course, a basketball court, table tennis, corn hole, an obstacle course, and even a rollercoaster. Yes! You read that right, a rollercoaster! It is a lot of fun! There are plenty of pools to relax in as well. You can also gamble. There are also parties and live events a plenty! Plenty of shopping can be done here. There is a duty free liquor store, candy shop, perfume store, jewelry stores and so much more! It also has tons of restaurants and bars as well! There is also a fully stocked medical center. I can tell you the care is top notch, I had to use their services on the day before last I was on the ship. The rooms are also very comfortable. At least the two my family got were. We got Cove Balconies. Plenty of room and amazing views! The Celebration has it all! read more

This was our first time on the Celebration. It took us forever to find our way around. First thing we noticed was that the USB ports in our stateroom did not work. On Thursday evening Sep 18, we were heading to our stateroom and a slew of children came flying down the stairs in a full sprint, screaming, hooping and hollering. It was approximately 9:30 in the evening. Where were the parents??? In an entire week we had no idea who our steward was as we had never met him until the last day. Our group started discussing the 'new' upcoming decision by Carnival to change their point system. There are many of us that have been cruising for years and now are in jeopardy of loosing our status if we do not have the capability of cruising in accordance with their new rules. It's crazy that they are not even considering to grandfather those of us that have been loyal to the company for years. They should choose a 'start' date and have it effect all their new cruisers. We may need to consider a new cruise line for our next trip. read more

This is my first time on this cruise ship and OMG it's beautiful! I've been on other Carnival ships BUT this one is hands down the BEST!!!!!!! This ship was built and open this past November 2022 and I'm on it January 2023. I'm so in love with the new layout and everything that is offered. The team members are welcoming and friendly. My husband surprised me last month and took me on a cruise to celebrate my birthday...it was on Carnival's newest ship, Celebration. I absolutely loved being on here from our cabin, to the many different places to dine, to the onboard activities. Now with all these great things I guess you are wondering why didn't I give the review 5 stars. Here's why- Center Stage was where performances/musicals took place and because so many people wanted to see them, guests/travelers would arrive hours in advance to get a seat and save seats for others. The evening my husband and I went we arrived almost 2 hours prior to the show, went down to a row on the 2nd level of the theater to be told by a woman she was holding seats. My response was how many and she said SEVEN!!! We sat down but I was fuming on the inside so much so that I got up and went to guest services. It wasn't like I was going to miss the show, we got there TWO HOURS early. Sighhh! Guest services stated guests were not to hold seats and an announcement would be made. I never heard the announcement! ‍. I digress! So, this was one thing I didn't like. Next, my stateroom attendant was nice but not as on top of things as I've had with others on past cruises. Don't get me wrong, when we needed something and asked, he brought it right away but if on a 7 day cruise I've asked you for the same thing 3 days in a row, it's pretty obvious I want it every day. IJS! The casino (which I played no games in) was super packed, two sides- smoking and non-smoking. I found that many times I needed to go through the casino to get to where I wanted to go on the other side of the boat and it was like walking through a crowded mall the day after Thanksgiving. Whatelse, packed elevators but I guess that is to be expected with over 5,000 guests. There's always the steps but when you are on the 14th deck that's no fun after a few margaritas. ‍. Those may be my only issues. I loved the selection of restaurants, ChiBang would probably be my favorite, We did My Time dining, selected the restaurant we wanted to go to on the "Carnival Hub" app and waited for our table to become available. You are notified through the app with a 10 minute hold on your table. Some other places, Street Eats for small portions, Blue Iguana, Guys, Big Chicken were all good, and I found that it was a nice selection of food on the Lido deck with plenty of seating. Poolside- I didn't really have a problem with getting a chair around the pool, though I'm more of a Serenity area kind of girl. One of the shops onboard sold designer bags- Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and I believe Chanel (I didn't buy any but thought it was cool to mention). Lee, the cruise director was personable, lots of fun and kept us entertained and well informed of things taking place on the ship. I must say the ship is beautiful and I will need to take another trip on it. This has to be the Worst company Ever they have you purchase Travel protection and then don't honor the Contract. I purchased this insurance for myself, daughter and grandson. When I tell you it has been a roller coaster trying to get my money back from this company. I paid 2,575.00 for the trip. I work for the federal government and because of the disaster in Tampa, we are being deployed. I provided them with the travel documents the emails along with the date, time and location. The representative advised me that they only deal with military disaster when this was mandated by the military. They have yet allowed me to speak with someone in the corp office and AON sent an email saying military travel is the only way they would pay. I really need some assistance with this matter. When I initially signed up they never told me this. I keep reaching out to AON. It clearly state on your web site work related. read more

I want to give our state room attendant Iputu the biggest thank you ! He was amazing, friendly and was super amazing on our 7 day cruise . He was super helpful with all of our requests and questions! This young man went above and beyond! He deserved a raise !!! Wish we could have taken him home with us! Ryan and I wish him all the absolute best . I hope we cross paths in the future. We have been cruising with Carnival since 2000. We have always been big fans. Lee Mason the Cruise Director is one of the best in the business. There are a lot of bar and restaurant options on this XL class ship. The layout and size is a lot different than the rest of Carnivals fleet; but it was easy to learn. Even though there are a ton of guest on board I never felt crowded (except while trying to find a seat at center stage). Over all it's a very nice ship. We will sail her again. read more

Worse cruise ever!!! This cruise has made me rethink cruise vacations. 1st my brand new 32 inch luggage was delivered to my room with only 4 wheels. I stood in the customer service line for close to 2 hours for them to tell me they would give me a $100 credit to purchase a new one at one of the ports. Where can you get a 32 inch hardside suitcase for $100, let alone at a cruise port. Manager had a disgusting attitude but finally agreed to a Carnival staff member purchasing me one when we got to Puerto Rico. They call my room after we left Puerto Rico to inform me that they could not fine one for $100 and that they would apply the credit to my account. I had to plead with them to return the broken suitcase so that I would have something to transport my belonging back home in. I had to call multiple times for the to return it. The dining experience was subpar and they now try to nickel and dime your for things that were once free, i.e. restaurants that you could visit on different days now you can only visit once without being charged. The lines for everything were extremely long for everything. They say they price match but when I showed them a pic for cigarettes the clerk in the liquor & alcohol shop refused to honor the price. 120-140 minute wait on dining reservations. The food was not even worth a 20 minute wait. We were late getting back due to a storm in Miami. They rushed us out of the rooms 4 hours early had had us just standing around so they could clean the rooms for oncoming cruisers. Carnival Cruiseline is the bottom of the barrel as far ad cruise lines are concerned. 20 to 30 minute waits for the elevators or to purchase a coffee. My cousins TV was broken and had to be fixed. My toilet would not flush and had to be fixed but this boat is brand new!!! Slow service and poor food quality seemed to be the theme if this cruise. If I ever go on another cruise vacation it will definitely NOT be on Carnival!!! What a waste of $2,011.72!!! read more
