Took our first Virgin Voyages cruise in the last month and enjoyed it very much! As this was our first time, we had NO idea what to expect. When we first booked, we didn't realize that the "slightly smaller terrace" was where the lifeboats were positioned. We enjoy sitting out in the terrace, so we ended up going back in and upgrading to a different cabin. If I had known that to begin with, I would've booked the different cabin. As we upgraded about 2.5 months prior to the cruise, the only options left for rooms with a better balcony view was one further down the hall. We didn't think anything of it until the first night we were on board and realized that our room was right next to the red room. Being a VERY light sleeper, I ended up not sleeping the nights there was an event in the red room as it was so loud, and the music shook our bed. If I had known it was next to the red room, I would've tried to find a different cabin ‍ Overall, we enjoyed our 11 day cruise in the brilliant lady. The ship was clean and well maintained. All staff members were great and very friendly and helpful. The terminal for embarkment and deembarkment was very well organized and clean. Made the whole process much less stressful!

Seven amazing days cruising the Caribbean with Virgin Voyages. Upon embarking the ship, you feel the energy from the Happenings Cast. Our balcony room was clean and modern. Food was amazing especially at the Wake and Pink Agave. Service was impressive from the wait staff, to our room attendant. There is plenty to do on board such as pickleball, basketball court, board games, gym, casino, and shows. The WiFi being included was a definite plus. I would definitely go on another cruise with Virgin Voyages!

A planned nine day cruise aboars Virgin, Scarlet Lady with stops in Puerto Rico, etc, etc,. We traditionally, opened the New Yearnin Las Vegas, NV. However we were recently in Vegas for the the annual Big Smoke. So we decided to do something different and began looking for cruises that visited other than the traditional carribean islands. Additionally, we had never cruised on Virgin before. We struggles with trying to decide on the deinknpackages as well we discussed upgrading our suite to get the rooftop access. After doing the math we stayed with our original suite and purchased deink packages. We made reservations at all of the specialty restaurants as well as shore excursions. If you are going to participate in offshore activities, plan and schedule early. Cons: the indoor cigar lounge (room) not adequately ventilation, horrible chairs and service was completly absent. I have sailed on various vessels with a fully cigar lounge with a humidor and dedicated service staff.

The BEST cruise I've been on in a long time! The staff and guests were all so welcoming.

First time on a Virgin cruise and overall really enjoyed our experience! I did a Norwegian cruise 15 or so years ago as a teenager so I don't have a ton to compare it to as I don't remember much from that first cruise. This trip was on Resilient Lady. We had a group of 9 and two of us were Mega Rockstars in the biggest suite on the ship. Our Rockstar agent Thandi was AMAZING. She went above and beyond and anticipated the needs of our group. We were able to try every restaurant on board and overall enjoyed our experience. I think the Wake was everyone's favorite. Test kitchen was unique and the food was decent. We also frequently got pizza from the Pizza Place. It was quite good! The galley offers a variety of food from sushi to burgers, ramen, sandwiches and more. Overall the food was lacking in flavor but most of us are foodies in the group. Comparing it to food we've all had on other cruises, Virgin does a good job and has great variety. We did a workout class, 80s party, Scarlett Night and Lola's Library. These were all so fun and entertaining. I wish we could have seen more but there's just so much to do you can't possibly do it all. The Casino was fun. Several of us did that at various points and had pretty good luck. We all really enjoyed our excursions too even though or original Jamaica one was cancelled. We were easily able to book a different one that was super fun. My biggest complaint is the lack of pools. There's one "big" pool that only a portion of it is 5ft deep. The other half you can sit in. There is one other small pool on deck 15 too. I wish there was at least one other big pool that was deeper. The pools are insanely crowded and the water gets hazy and gross pretty quickly. The happenings cast we had were amazing. We got to go to a few secret parties on Scarlett Night and one at Lola's Library.

My 2nd time on Virgin Voyages with my 3rd trip already locked in!! Virgin Voyages is cruising done right. No children, crafted cocktails, Michelin inspired dinning, the cabins, and the entertainment are bar none. Ive cruised on Royal, Margarittaville, Norwegian, and Carnival and nothing compares to VV.

I've cruised a bit in my life time but this was my first Virgin cruise. It did not start off well. The embarkation process was a nightmare! Lines and LINES of people in cattle queues outside. Lines so long they ran out of queue ropes and this was 2 hours before we set sail!!! If I rated just embarkation it would be 1 star. Once on board things improved. Our cabin was ready, our steward explained the Ipad room controls and we felt much better. Pros: Great food options Many healthy options Extremely friendly staff Very eco friendly Galley-buffet area all items served by staff Cons: $10 delivery charge for room service Embarkation process Outside debarkation staff unfriendly Show theaters small and fill up fast. Need to wait in line early to get in.

Virgin Voyages is a relatively new cruise line, with 4 ships in its fleet, the oldest being 5 years old. It's a partnership between Bain Capital and the Virgin Group (investment company run by Richard Branson), with the experience being heavily influenced by the way Virgin's Travel & Leisure Group operates. Some of the sister companies in this group include Virgin Atlantic Airways, Virgin Hotels (some US locations in Chicago, Las Vegas, New York, and Dallas), and Virgin Holidays. The 4 ships mainly sail out of Miami, with Barcelona and San Juan being some others. One of the ships (the Brilliant Lady) will add some West Coast cities (Los Angeles and Seattle) later in 2026. What's different (from other cruise lines): -- only adults (18+), no kids. -- first food hall at sea, replacing the buffet at most other cruise lines. Haven't tried the one on the newest NCL boats, but the Virgin 'Galley' is far superior to the ones on the Royal Caribbean Icon ships. -- the common areas and restaurants resemble a modern hotel (think Las Vegas) than a cruise ship. -- different levels of internet speeds, but the lowest level is free for every sailor, for one device. -- large selection of current free movies in the room along with a variety of premium TV shows (HBO), all complementary. -- self serve soda machines in the mess hall (Coke products). -- hammocks in balconies, supposed to be the most comfort on a balcony room, and I agree. -- eat where you want to. Moving food around on other ships is intentionally difficult. Here they package the food (similar to room service) for easy pick up. I had fruit multiple times in my room, and it was the best quality and selection I had on a cruise ship. The fruit plate of red grapes, mandarin oranges, pineapple, mango, and kiwi fruit...all had been prepared so there was no scraps/peels/stem remnants at all...some planner had already thought about this and execuited. -- room evacuation is 10am on the last day, similar to a hotel. Most other lines mandate 8 am, to allow crew to clean before next. -- instead of a sea card, you are given a RFID pendant on a bracelet. Began different, but now is the same: -- gratuities used to be included in the prepaid price. Now it is not, added to your room account at the end of the cruise. -- crew members would get their own sleep quarters, a huge selling point. Now, it is shared. -- pricing was quite a bit higher, marketed to a younger and higher income demographic. Looking at current prices, it seems to now match the introductory cruise lines (RC, NCL, Carnival) pricing, when on sale. -- the shows were very different, more original, experimental. It has evolved to more cabaret. Not big broadway productions, but definitely more mainstream. -- eat where and when you want to. trying to minimize reservations, but found that it creates chaos so went back to reservations required for dinner. The most popular restaurants will be fully booked, so important to take care before cruising. -- laundry. No coin operated machines. But they do have same day laundry along with next day. Things that seem to match other lines: -- two beach towels (in Virgin's signatory red and white colors). They are checked out to the room and must be returned ($25 per towel) -- private island. Theirs is on a private beach on Bimini, with complementary barbeque lunch and lounge chairs. -- typical port fees and taxes that must be paid before the cruise. If a port is missed, the fees are refunded back. -- live channels in your room are limited. ESPN along with news channels are available, but there were no live cable channels. I plan to check it out again once they start sailing from LA.

In late-February 2026, for one of my milestone birthday's my sister took me on a Virgin Voyage Cruise from Miami, FL to Cozumel, MX, and Bimini Island, Bahamas. The entertainment, various restaurants with delicious food selection, numerous bars, and hang out nooks were plentiful. The crew were friendly, catered to you, but were not overbearing. While on board I had a Swedish massage and a pedicure. If you need a pedicure while on board I highly recommend you book with Shenika.

The Wake! So freaking delicious! The restaurant is absolutely beautifully decorated. The food is 1000 out of 10. The staff goes above and beyond. My husband and I ate here last night on the boat. We reserved another spot for our 8th night. Can't wait to come back.

I've only been on one Cruise line my entire life, so I decided to try something new and get away from kids on vacation and try out Virgin Voyages adult only cruise line. It's definetly a different vibe and experience. From the room to the spaces within the ship, everything is so modern, eye catching, and accomodating. The techie in me loved the wrist bracelet that allowed me to enter my room without having to think about carrying a physical key. And don't forget about the Ipad that allows you to not only control the lights in the room, but access the tv, make requests for your room such as towels and ice, and order room service, which is included in your trip price (but a delivery room fee applies). I traveled solo and had plenty of space. Bed was bigger than a twin but not as wide a a queen. In any case I slept like a baby, especially the first night when they were giving away free champagne on Bon Voyage time. You'll find plenty of space to store your luggage and make youself at home no matter how many days you travel. There was plenty to do as far as activities were concerned. Although you can preview them via the room's Ipad and app, a paper copy of the itinerary is left in the room daily. Biggest tip of all: Make sure you book your dining options soon as you can check in on the app. Gumbae is a great choice if you're trying to meet people as they'll seat with other people depending on the number of people in your party. As a solo traveler, I actually met other solo travelers the first night because we were all seated together. Pretty cool idea! If you don't book before the voyage, expect to be on a waiting list for the restautants. Breakfast was probably my least favorite meal to eat on the voyage as it's cafeteria style and was crowded by a certain time of the day but VV offers table service and they have grab and go boxes that include sandwiches and snack boxes. Sushi is also a grab n go option. Therefore, this is not why I gave VV four stars. There are plentiful food options on the ship. It was actually departing that was irritating. I booked my embarkation time of 10:15 am. I had scheduled an Uber to pick me up from the port at 11. However, people were pushed off the ship an hour early. As a result, a sea of people are waiting outside the port at the same time post Thanksgiving. This was tragic because of the holiday and traffic was horrible! I had two Ubers cancel on me and because of the traffic, the 3rd and last one that decided to stick it out and come and get me took him two hours to make it to port. Yall- I was standing outside the port FOUR HOURS!!!!!! Luckily, I had booked my flight back to Houston for close to 5 pm. Otherwise I would have missed my flight. I also did not like the attitude of some of the attendants as people left the ship. Snarky, talking back...the energy when people were coming on the ship was the total opposite leaving- not a have a good day, come back soon, nothing.. The cost to fly, book a hotel for the night and cruise just isn't worth it when you're stressed leaving the vacation. I will certainly not travel to this port during or around the holiday season if I have a say in it. All in all, I would at least encourage anyone to try our VV once- just not around the holiday season when the port will be extremely busy. Once you're on the ship, enjoy all the amenities VV has to offer. Definetly go to Pajama night and dress up for Scarlet Night which asks you to dress on all red. Nevertheless, the music selection on my cruise was sub par. Only House music. Did not cater to diverse population at all. Even the karoake room has a limited selection of songs from certain genres...This made me miss Carnival for real. But still there are a plethora of activities to enjoy on VV. Find what floats your boat or try something new. It's all on VV.

I had a wonderful time on my first cruise with Virgin Voyages!! I'm glad I got the opportunity to try them for the week of the Halloween Voyage out of Miami. The atmosphere is so inviting and since it's adults only you get to enjoy it more without the kids. They offer plenty of activities and entertainment to keep busy or you can relax and go at your own pace. I was able to meet other solo travelers as well those that were traveling in a group and had some good conversations and meals with the people I met. The food options are also so really good and they have some for everyone's taste buds. Overall before the end of the trip I put down a deposit for a future trip and I know I will have another amazing trip.

When I booked on TripAdvisor, the tour was listed as being 1hour and 20 minutes. The sail time was listed as 2:30pm with a suggested arrival time of 2pm. We arrived at 2pm on March 19th 2026. We easily found the waiting area...by the Ferris wheel and Hard Rock Cafe. There was no particular order to the line. Once the crew arrived they scanned our digital confirmations and handed us paper tickets. They pulled this wooden ship's wheel out, and began directing us to the wheel to take a photo. We knew this to be a marketing ploy for possible purchase of the photo later. Normally, I do not have an issue with this, I get it. However when we tried to decline the taking of the photo, we were told it was for "safety purposes " and we could always decline the purchase later. Really? I've never heard of such a thing? I felt as though they weren't being honest with us. Once on board, the ship did not pull off until 2:50pm. We returned at 3:50pm. So, in actuality the tour was an hour. The tour let us know about a few historical facts about Biscayne Bay and pointed out celebrity mansions. I know this is a pretty standard tour for the area. This particular one felt rushed with the narrator speaking fast, the music mediocre and not much group interaction. I probably have exhausted my Biscayne Bay tours. I do not see me taking another one, and certainly not with this company.

The boat was spacious, clean and the crew was very helpful. Great option of snacks and drinks. Jorge from the team did a fantastic job keeping everyone safe explaining the needed safety procedures and politely redirecting people if they stood in an unsafe place or position during the tour. Dr. George has a plethora of knowledge about literally anything we seem to pass by and provides the commentary in a generally neutral and positive way (not always easy to do when discussing Miami's history!). There was also staff onboard from the museum that were very helpful to answer questions. Just a couple points of feedback about the ship: the snack and drink bar seemed to not be able to accept card, due to technical difficulties, which was a bummer since many people nowadays don't have cash. Also, the indoor space at the bottom seemed to be kept very cold. But of course, there were lots of other options for seating including the top that is covered and the front part of the boat had a great view and plenty of room for lots of people.

You should reserve tickets in advance if you want to secure a time. The departure point in Bayside Marketplace, an open air mall and bar / restaurant / entertainment complex in downtown. Parking here (for 2+ hours, which is pretty much required to cover the entire cruise + check-in window) was $34! You are required to check in 45 minutes before departure, probably so they can ensure you don't show up at the last minute and demand a refund. From what I could tell, there were several other boat tour companies also hawking trips from multiple booths at this mall, so maybe you can just walk up for some of them (?). We boarded about 15 minutes before departure. This involved getting forced photos taken, which is always a bad sign to me. If you had arrived early enough (before we did) they even tracked you down before the departure to try to sell you photos. In our case, we just exited afterwards and never got the sales pitch. The cruise itself is not bad. Miami's Biscayne Bay is certainly scenic, and the boats, homes, and skyline you see are interesting. My advice would be to sit on the right / starboard side, as you can generally get better views from there. The cruise starts along the Miami shoreline, then heads out into the bay past various islands. Eventually, you come upon a few areas that are densely developed with high-end homes. The owners of the homes were mostly people whom I'd never heard of - local retiree billionaires who sold pharmaceutical companies, whoever founded Instagram, someone who owns and NBA franchise, etc. Occasionally some name would come up that I had heard of (people recently tried or jailed for things, musicians from a bit further back, etc.). You then pass some even more exclusive island with more generic condos where other celebrities (most of whom I'd heard of) live at least part time. Then you pass the working port area with the cranes and large container ships en route back. The last 10 minutes of the cruise is again the Miami shoreline. The guy doing the narration was good - he seamlessly switched between English and Spanish and sounded fluent in both. There was a bar on board and some of the tour group were quite enthusiastic about it. However, given that I was facing 30+ minutes in Friday Miami rush hour right after the tour, I didn't really want to add alcohol to that scenario. In summary - this wasn't bad, it just wasn't "for us". The scenery was nice, but a lot of the 'content' was stuff I just don't care about.

Because the boat barely moved, there was no wind at all, and we were stuck sitting in the scorching heat. When we complained, the manager didn't even try to help. Instead, she started yelling at us. She first claimed that higher speeds were "illegal" in the area. Then she also told us that the captain was still learning to operate the boat, as if that somehow justified the experience. I honestly don't understand what that has to do with the time and money I paid for. Customers shouldn't be paying full price to be part of someone's training. The best part of the trip was how we had the boat exclusively to ourselves! I didn't know it'd be a private tour until the day I came. So, the boat was just a total of 3 people (captain included). The water temperature was great and the clarity was decent. We even saw two dolphins! You meetup at Whiskey Joe's at the marina and you can start your excursion immediately. I liked that you didn't need to wait around much. I was able to see some cool looking fish, a bottom feeder and a crab. You get 2 hours for the snorkeling and you're not required to wear any life vests (in fact, we weren't offered any and I didn't see any). The water is super shallow so it didn't seem dangerous at all. The water is also salty and easy to float in. The boat was nearby the main snorkeling area. The bad: The area for snorkeling was pretty small. It was an artificial reef where the fish were but outside of that area there is just seagrass and there's no living things to observe. The website says snorkeling starts at $75/pp and up but that's misleading b/c that's only the price if you have 8+ people. When I came to the marina, the worker who had me sign paperwork said that "$25/hour tip is required" when I got an email saying 15% tip is optional. My husband clarified and he said "yes, it's required" but later retracted his statement after I clarified that it was strange to give tip upfront before we even went on the excursion. However, I did already give 15% tip upfront on 50% of the value and then Zelled an additional $25 tip to the captain himself afterward. The cost for snorkeling ended up being $407 for 2 people (pricey). The interesting: The captain swam with us to lead us to the reef and then swam back and was mostly on his phone.

Warm, Emotional, and Grateful…read more My daughter surprised me with a birthday weekend yacht experience with Mr. Sea, and it was truly unforgettable. From the moment I stepped on board, the woman who decorated the boat made me feel so special -- every detail was thoughtful, beautiful, and perfectly set up. One of the crew members was incredibly attentive, making sure all the snacks, drinks, and little touches were just right. Our captain was amazing, too. Smooth ride, great energy, and he made the whole experience feel safe, fun, and effortless. You could tell he loves what he does. Thank you, Mr. Sea, for making my birthday weekend one I'll never forget. Exceptional service from start to finish.

I booked the Miami on the Water sunset boat ride by Fiesta Cruises…read more It was a really nice experience and well worth the $35 per person. We went around the mansions and islands of Biscayne Bay for about 90 minutes as the sun set. The tour guide was informative while keeping things light and fun, and the DJ added to the atmosphere by timing songs from artists like Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, and Ricky Martin as we passed their homes. There were plenty of photo opportunities, and although the boat was on the smaller side, it didn't feel crowded. The top and front were open-air, with covered seating downstairs. Approaching the lit-up Miami skyline at the end of the ride was a highlight. The boat had a bar with reasonably priced drinks ($5 beers and $10 cocktails) and snacks available for purchase. The only downside was unclear check-in instructions. The email said the booth was inside Bayside Marketplace behind Chili's on the second floor. Right across from Chili's is a storefront for a different tour operator, and downstairs there are at least ten other booths with similar names, which made it confusing. After asking around, we learned the Fiesta Cruises booth was actually outside on the dock--you have to walk through the Tasca Paella restaurant to reach it. Once we found it, check-in and boarding were smooth. Parking at the garage can also be challenging, especially on weekend evenings or during events. My tour coincided with a Miami Heat game next door, which made traffic and parking more difficult and expensive (a $57 flat event rate). The company did send a warning email recommending public transit or rideshare. Even arriving an hour early, it still took about 40 minutes to park and locate the check-in booth.

Only down side is that there isn't a lot of seating and we didn't actually get to see Flagler island as mentioned. Oh and there is a guy there that is giving a raffle ticket and it's trying to sell you on a timeshare.
