Had a wonderful time at Carnival Caberet. The girls were fabulous tonight and James Gypsy Haake couldn't have been better. And as an added bonus I got to meet the legendary and phenomenal Connie Stevens

Just when you thought Palm Springs could be "The Best Weekend Get-Away EVER!" #WOW! IT JUST GOT EVEN BETTER!!! "Carnival Cabaret" is a modern, fun, brilliant and face-paced show that toys with old-time Vegas... "Dinner & A Show!" AND WHAT A SHOW! Food Fabulous, cost affordable, surprises abundant, laughs available and talent UNBELIEVABLE! YOU MUST EXPERIENCE "GYPSY" and his magical journey through Hollywood and glamour! Fasten your seat belts! You'll never look at life the same way again! #Love (P.S. If your lucky, look for "Alfie" if this Diva hits the stage, your in for such a treat, your gonna have a new secret guilty pleasure! I know I do!)

I have been to Zaldas nightclub years ago and it was a fun place. Anyway, looked up on Yelp and found this gem and my friend and I got excited, took an Uber and went straight to the club. We didn't have this much fun in a long time. David was very nice, kind and attentive. Since we had already eaten, we only ordered drinks. We both opted for Coconut Margarita (blended) didn't want to cross the line and get drunk. That is why we took the Uber down there. Smart idea right? Right! They have a dance floor, DJ, and live music. Also a cover charge for entrance. $10.00 which is not bad at all. Other places charge way more..Can't comment on the food, since we didn't eat there. The minute I came back from the restroom to my seat, this lovely elderly gentlemen invited me to dance. Since he was more like my friend's age, she thought that he was about to ask her to dance.. Place was very clean, David checked on us twice, and the feeling/vibe along with the atmosphere was just PERFECT!! The song that the band was playing was "Besame Mucho". I am sure most of you have heard of that song, if you haven't, it's never too late. If I happen to be in Palm Springs again, I will definitely go back to this club. You are never too old to have fun. You can also hold events for your special occasions. Thank you David, Copa Night Club and management.Established back in 2013, restrooms for both men and women, street and metered parking only..business hours are from 9pm till 2am. Closed on certain dates and holidays! I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

He was incredibly kind and personally made sure we were taken care of throughout the night. We especially appreciated that he kept us informed on how we were doing against our minimum spend and made sure we were well served the entire evening. That level of attentiveness made the night feel easy and well managed from our side. The music and overall energy were great, and the club was packed well beyond the 50 plus guests we brought into the reserved section. It felt lively, celebratory, and like exactly the kind of place you want for a wedding after party. The staff was welcoming, service was strong, and the atmosphere carried the night forward in a really fun way. We would absolutely recommend Copa for anyone looking for an upbeat Palm Springs after party venue.

We didn't have any issues around 10pm. Seating: An intimate lounge for the most part, bar seating, group seating, room for about 50 people total. Vibes: Downtown Palm Springs is an eventful place. Small enough that it's close to the type of vibe you need. As for the space itself, it has a dim lighting, a tv for sports or popular shows if you just want to zone out. You have your usual singers and a good ebb and flow of people trying to catch a song. Karaoke is definitely the heart of this place. Whether someone is absolutely crushing it or having fun with friends, it's a supportive place with good vibes all around. DRINKS Vodka Soda with Lime (Recommend) A simple drink that gets the job done. Cold, refreshing, and well balanced. Just a solid cocktail to help you relax and enjoy the vibes. CUSTOMER SERVICE Friendly, attentive, and easygoing. DJ is great and same as the servers. TL;DR OVERALL 4.5 Stars. Good drinks, welcoming people, and one of those neighborhood bars that doesn't have to be expensive and flashy. Great space where people can laugh, sing, meet new friends, and enjoy a night out. Enjoy! TIPS * Karaoke is the main attraction--don't be afraid to sign up for a song. * Vibes will come in waves, sometimes it's poppin and sometimes its chill.

The atmosphere hits the perfect balance between cozy, retro, and vibrant. From the moment you walk in, the moody lighting, detailed tropical decor, and intimate setting set an incredible vibe that instantly makes you feel like you've escaped to a secret oasis. It is ideal for catching up with friends, starting off a night out, or enjoying a relaxed evening drink. Beyond the fantastic ambiance, the service is top-notch. The staff and bartenders are incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do. They are always happy to recommend options based on your taste, and the attention to detail in every cocktail really shows. The drinks themselves are expertly crafted, balanced, and beautifully presented--you can tell real thought goes into the menu. Whether you are looking for classic tiki flavors or unique craft creations, everything served is flavorful and high quality. The small bites are equally impressive and pair wonderfully with the drink selection. Having gone twice now, Bootlegger Tiki has officially earned a permanent spot on my go-to list whenever I'm looking for great drinks, wonderful service, and an unforgettable atmosphere. I already cannot wait to go back for round three--highly recommended to anyone looking for a fantastic night out on Palm Canyon Drive!

Glowing red & decked out in typical tiki bar decor, Bootlegger Tiki's drink menu, like many of its kind, is rum heavy. The two drinks I tried -- Blackbeard's Booty with coconut cream & citrus notes, as well as Donn Beach 1934 Zombie with warming spices -- felt like they were lighting my esophagus on fire. Not enjoyable to drink, but perhaps I've always been biased against cocktails that are both too sweet & too strong on the liquor taste. Chill bartenders who did their best to recommend things we would like, but in the end, this spot is one-and-done in my book.

This…read morerestaurant is located inside La Quinta Resort & Club, and the experience feels special from the moment you walk through the historic, tall arched wooden doors. The entrance lead you down a hallway toward the hostess stand, with couches, a bar and a piano being played to the left. To the right , you enter the main dining room. The space felt open, elegant, and immediately welcoming. Talk about fine dining at its best. The hostess was able to quickly seat our party of six, and our server immediately brought over the menus and filled our water glasses. THE FOOD: We started with the oysters , and they did not disappoint. They were served with a shallot mignonette which was vinegary in all the right ways. They were so good, that we ended up ordering a second round. For dinner, we all ordered the steak with mushrooms and broccoli. The steak was perfectly cooked, and every bite was bursting with flavor. Even the mushrooms and broccoli stood out. Everything was seasoned beautifully without overpowering the actual flavors of the vegetables. Even the bread was so good. It was served with three different butters. And dessert? Also top notch. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful dinner with friends. THE SERVICE: The service really added to the experience. Our server was attentive and took great care of us. The GM, Ray, also stopped by our table, and we ended up chatting and joking with him a bit. He was incredibly friendly and personable and made sure we were having a great experience. Between the setting, the food, the genuinely attentive service, this as one of those dinners where it all felt elevated. Definitely one of the many highlights of our stay at La Quinta Resort.

Morgan's in the Desert: Disappointment After Disappointment. $400 for Meh…read more After living in La Quinta for four years, we were ready to try Morgan's, as it's one of the last foodie restaurants in the Coachella valley that we haven't tried. We arrived early for our reservation, excited to grab a drink at the bar before dinner. Then we were told our table was already available... only to be seated at a dining table in the bar, off to the side, where apparently servers do not exist while staring at the back of the pianist and the barflies. The two bartenders were fantastic--especially Brian, who was working at warp speed--but they already had a packed bar to manage. Adding dining tables to their workload was clearly not realistic. Why were we seated there? Still a mystery. Reservation problems: I booked through the QR code advertised in The Gem for the August prix fixe dinners at La Quinta Resort's restaurants. When we arrived, we were told the prix fixe menu wasn't available that day. Sorry! So we ordered bread and oysters instead. About 15-20 minutes later, the manager came over and said they would honor the prix fixe after all. Great! Except... we'd already ordered appetizers. ‍ And wow, was it SLOW. We were seated at 5:30 and still didn't have our entrées at 7:00. Drinks regularly sat empty, and once the restaurant got busy around 6:30, water refills disappeared completely. Did I mention it was 110 degrees outside? The food? A mixed bag--but overall, wildly overpriced and underwhelming. * Oysters: Ice-cold and served with a good mignonette. Also pricey. * Bread: Fresh and warm, but the olive tapenade was aggressively salty. Again, overpriced. * Watermelon salad: The winner! Refreshing, flavorful, and the spicy nuts gave it a nice kick. Highly recommend. * Chicken cacciatore: Dry chicken, undercooked tomatoes, overcooked pasta. Never again. * Oscar filet: Delicious and well-prepared, but nothing memorable or special--especially for the price. Bottom line: We spent about $400 for a frustrating, painfully slow, mostly mediocre meal. There are too many great restaurants in the area to spend that kind of money on "meh." We won't be back.
