I usually never do reviews but i have to say this is review worthy. the taste and portions were fantastic. the taste of the refried beans and carnitas literally took me back to the authenticity of the motherland of Mexico. will definitely recommend this place and will definitely be coming back. A solid 10 out of 10! I've been on the hunt for a good Menudo spot for a while now, and I can honestly say the search is finally over. I walked into this little hole-in-the-wall restaurant, and the Menudo was absolutely delicious. The server was kind, polite, and very welcoming. When she took my order, she even asked if I wanted grano and patita--that's when you know you're about to get some authentic Menudo! The tortillas were homemade and full of flavor. I asked for extra lemons, and the server definitely delivered--I had plenty, along with all the toppings I needed. To start, I ordered chips and salsa for the table. The salsa was incredible--fresh, flavorful, and very spicy, so if your spice tolerance is low, tread lightly. I also tried a taco de cueritos, and it was so good! This food is the most authentic it gets.It's very delicious. They have the best carnitas and menudo!!! They have great service and they're on it. The restaurant is very vibrant and full of life. They also have a young lady in a beautiful dress that sings sometimes on the weekends. If you're in town you should definitely check them out. This is my favorite place to eat. read more

We ordered the Carnitas #1 Family Special, which is advertised as a meal for two. The food itself was great--no complaints on taste or quality there. However, the sides were really underwhelming. The portions were super skimpy--especially the rice and beans, which came in what looked like salsa cups. Considering rice is one of the most inexpensive sides out there, it felt like they were cutting corners. For a meal that's supposed to serve two people, the sides just didn't measure up. A little more generosity would go a long way. read more

My order only came with 3 little cups and no onions or cilantro had to ask for it separately . Gave me a small side of rice and beans for the 2 lbs of carnitas when it was suppose to feed 4-6 ppl . The 1 lb came with the same amount doesn't make any sense and it feeds 1-2 . Raw meat had to cook it when I got home . Will definitely make the drive to highland to the original store . read more

I called in an order and given a price when I went it it was a different price (12 more) when I asked why the cashier explained, and I understood just wish the lady that took my order would of explained to me and gave me the correct price. The chicharron was cold found out they fry it in the am and sell the same batch as the day goes on. On that note we ordered menudo, birria, caldo de res, and chilaquiles. They were all delicious. We also got a gorditas and a mulita. Those were also good. The service was good, they were patient with us even though I had to call to get some order details straight while ordering. All three of the waitresses that worked with us or walked by us were kind and offered to make our wait more comfortable or assured us that our stuff to go was in process of being made.
