The chips and salsa arrived and were a great starter with the chips being thicker than average yet crisp. It was a good start. I ordered the Shrimp Ranchero with an order of guacamole. The shrimp dish arrived on a piping hot plate. As I waited for the shrimp to cool enough to eat I finished the salsa and chips. I did have to ask about the guacamole which was very good. I enjoyed the shrimp and the ranchero sauce. It was just spicy enough. The building isn't much to look at from the parking lot but inside it's decorated in a interesting way. The crowd was smallish as it was late on a Monday so it wasn't very noisy.

Los Amigos was packed for lunch, & that was a good sign for us as we motored through this small town. The waitress exuded tons of Georgia hospitality. She took good care of us. The meal started with chips & salsa. The salsa was seriously fantastic tasting. I ordered 2 enchiladas with beans & rice. This part of the meal was good but nothing outstanding. I admit I kept returning to the chips & salsa. The salsa is gold! Additionally, prices for the meal were super reasonable. It was $7.

We ordered take out and arrived when we were told the food would be ready. It was just coming out of the kitchen when we arrived, so the timing was great. The service was friendly. The food was packaged as typical for Mexican take out with all dishes in foil containers and crimped on lids. The food stayed hot on the short drive. The Chili Colorado was nicely spicy with a decent amount of meat. The beans and rice were nothing special but certainly fine. The carne asada fajitas had good flavor and enough meat to balance the onions, etc. Another dining partner tried a steak torta and was very happy with it. The bread was fresh and held up well to the sandwich components. The chicken enchiladas were also very flavorful. The provided salsa was smooth without heat. I prefer a chunkier salsa with some heat, so this was disappointing. Overall, this was a decent meal for a decent price.

We were quickly seated and Tony, our server, came and greeted us. He took our drink orders and we ordered the queso as well as guacamole made by the table. After bringing our drinks and queso (was very quick), he took our orders for main dish. We ordered the Super burrito choosing chicken over beef. He then came to the table with the cart for the guacamole stating that the woman who normally does it was busy making fresh tortillas. Tony was not only very kind and affable, but does he know how to make guacamole! So tasty! Soon our entrees arrived. Piping hot and so delicious. The portions were very filling and definitely satisfied the desire for great Mexican food. We will definitely be returning. Nothing but good things to say about Las Palmas!

There is also ample free parking available in their private lot. They do all the stuff traditional Mexican restaurants do like bring you free chips and salsa and put a hat on you and sing for birthday boys and girls. They have your typical Mexican food like enchiladas, steak, burritos, tamales, tacos, and chimichangas. I went exotic and ordered the Pina de la Fiesta, but without the shrimp. It was delicious. It came with rice, and refried beans. MMMMMM, it was warm fresh and was a ton of food. I had to take a doggie bag home. The restaurant has televisions around and has a party room available. They have been touting their catering and it looks like a good deal from what I have been reading. Now service here is ok. And I must admit that the restaurant is not the cleanest. The floors were horrible and needed a good mopping. It is an older place or at least looks older and could use a little update. I was on the fence with this one. I was stuck at 3 and a half stars but decided to bump up to a 4 since my and my crew's meals were so good.

If you want a tip you need to work for it not ignore customers. We usually eat here once a week due to close proximity to our home, not any longer. Dalton has too many other Mexican restaurants serving the same menu. Adios Fiesta! By the way you should have taken the keys from the 4 drunk patrons at the bar considering we watched one almost hit 3 cars leaving his parking spot. Very loud and noisy not enjoyable.
