Detiene la Caida de Cabello, Shampoo Natural de Hierbas a Base de Romero. Elimina la Caspa y Nace Nuevo Cabello - Hierbitas Hair Care
    Rocio B.

This is the forced social distancing method they chose. They aren't messing around. Good for them. Bad for HoH customers.

Carnecería Samber: NO BUENO! My favorite taco truck was nowhere in sight today Tuesday @ 4:30 & I needed another source for my, um... (ahem) fix. I'd passed Carnecería Samber driving through that lot several times. So I went inside. Error grandé, Jenny! There are round tables in front of the counter to enforce SD. It's meh... whatever.I'm glad they (think they) r being safe & sanitary & I guess the further away customers r from food I'm gonna eat, the better. I went directly to the takeout, but this place is huge & has everything! The butcher counter looked beautiful & HUGE & the butcher was nice but omg - the back door to outside is right next to the counter & I had to bat the flies away by the hundreds. That should have been my indication to say goodnight and get the Eff out. But I was hankerin' for some tacos carnitas so I pushed forward. The whole place is like a cafeteria type deal. You get what you need from where you need it - groceries, spices, sodas by the billions, produce, meat, takeout, then pay @ register on your way out. I social distanced at the counter for like 5 minutes waiting to figure out how this worked. There were 3 properly attired (red polo shirts) cooks in the kitchen area! Yay! But also NOT yay because 2 of them were sitting at a table IN THE KITCHEN (its within guidelines to sit & eat meal in commercial kitchens?) & having a grand old time while one lone cook was handling the flattop & trying to get orders out by herself. The next thing I noticed was a box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts on the counter. I may never eat them again after sitting & watching all the flies having fun on top of that box. Mysteriously there was a packed to-go bag of food that sat on that counter the entire time I was there. Huh?? No one seemed to care that it had not been claimed. In my Literature studies this little phenomena is what's known as FORESHADOWING. Finally the girl (she was younger maybe 18-ish?) who'd been working the cash register spotted me & came over to take my order. We had to yell back & forth over the tables since she had a mask on (which is a good thing!) & I am HoH. I ordered three tacos carnitas to go. "We only have carnitas on the weekends." Wait... WHAT??? Okay well I do need to try other stuff once in a while & I love pastor so I ordered only two instead of three of the tacos el pastor & a large cup of just ice. "We don't have any ice, sorry." Hmm okay that's suss... The cashier girl put the ticket in the kitchen & went back to the register. The lone lady running orders kept working her butt off while her two comrades kept eating & laughing & looking around at the customers waiting in line - one of them even stood up just to mess with us, apparently, because all she did was get more tortillas for her lunch. I waited. And waited. I sat at a table in the eating area and looked around. This place def gets the blue ribbon award for organization! The shelves of dry goods have EVERYTHING! Then there was a little cubby area behind the cashier with just Mexican sweets. I was hungry. Really hungry. I'd saved room (and money) for this meal by not eating all day. I noticed nearby one of the big pop machines had dirty wet towels under it that extended to the floor in front. Which made me look at the floor which was kinda gross. FINALLY the two lunchers finished their almuerzo, stood up & began preparing to HELP. One of these women put her mask on as she approached the shelf where filthy purses (THEIR PURSES WERE RIGHT THERE!) & to-go packaging is stored, & snapped on some blue gloves. Okay she was basically compliant & after all I'm living in my car so I can't be a hypocrite but for food service workers NOW they need to wash their hands before putting their gloves on. Also, if you're a woman, just think about all the places purses land. Floors, bathrooms, seats in your car, the FLOOR of your car, etc. & her bag was touching a lot of the to-go supplies while being in plain sight & she was busy enjoying her nosh while ignoring customers that literally anyone could've grabbed it & taken off &no one would be the wiser. The second woman did; masked up first, washed her hands, put on gloves & started to work. That's when I noticed the HUGE stack of tickets & knew mine was at the bottom. Between how long this was taking (approaching 40 minutes), the cleanliness of certain parts of the store, the goddamned flies EVERYWHERE, the two cooks who gave no fucks - they weren't gonna cut their lunch short for no stinking customers! - I bailed. Suddenly I was thrilled that they had that "pay as you leave" deal because if I'd paid for them I would've had to wait for them. So Carnecería Samber - lo siento. Fix these issues and I'll be back. p.s. this review made a great deal more sense before I was forced to remove half of it due to a "text limit" which never existed before.

    Our first time!

I generally don't review a place after just one visit unless I'll never be back and even then I usually still skip the review because it's really not enough to go on. Soooo...I went for a second time and it was just as good as the first. Admittedly, I had the tacos again so that's all I can review, but it's a pretty good bet, based on the crowd and the menu and the tacos that everything else is just as good. English is not the first language here, but it's nothing to worry about as the menu has big pictures. Worst case scenario, just point to the number. So back to the tacos...We had tongue and asada this time around and not only are they awesome, they load them double shells up with so much meat, you can barely fit the onions and cilantro on them. Which, by the way, is among the very few toppings they offer and that's ok, because that's the way I like them. As a bonus, it is tucked inside a store so you can get an ice cold beer or real sugar soda from the cooler or maybe a tasty Mexican desert. $1.59 for the tacos, BTW. One of the best deals in town.

    Some Candy I purchased..
    Troy C.

This mini lil store, I had to check out with only one thing in mind. Some Mexican candy, I have had this obsession with spicy food and even Spicy candy! Yum yum! So right as I walked in I was stunned at how much stuff they had in such a small location. To your right was two very awesome an helpful young ladies, now I only seen the front of the store but apparently I heard they have fresh meat, I'm not 100% on that but it's a nice lil store. Now they sell candies in bulk from anywhere like $3-5 or they have singles up near the cashier for pennies but it's such a vast selection. My overall thoughts, my coworker sent me here and I had to try it, getting out of my comfort zone is always a plus. Thank you and I'll be back for more candies.

This carniceria has a wide selection of fresh meats, dairy products, market, prepared food and desserts. Their prices are amazing for the amount of food you get! Everything is hand made and fresh, you can chose from handmade tortillas or store bought to enjoy your tacos, quesadillas, menudos & soups. They sell breakfast, and lunch. The dessert portion they have includes cakes, smoothies and fruit. You can find products imported from Mexico and Central America like medicines, snacks and other goodies. Definitely a place to try!

    Chicken burrito. MEAT!!!

Awesome find!! My wife has a sixth sense when it comes to finding culinary jewels in odd places. We were in town for a few days and just exploring the area when she got the urge to stop into this little Hispanic store-front in a somewhat shady-looking strip mall. The store was tiny and packed with tons of stuff from batteries to liquor. However, step a few feet into the place and you move beyond the store, into the meat market and fresh grill. Oh man! What this place lacks in ambience, it more than makes up for in food quality/quantity! If you want authentic latin food, tacos, burritos, etc.. and you don't mind cafeteria-style tables and a fresh meat display case in your face, you are in for a treat! We ordered a couple of burritos and gorditas, just to try the place out. The prices are super cheap but the quality is through the roof! I watched, in awe, as a little lady hand-made the tortillas for the burritos and gorditas and put them on the grill. The meat was very well seasoned and there was so much in each of the things we ordered, we were both stuffed miserably!! There is a small bar with sauces and fresh seasonings to add to your food, if you want. Forget about ordering a drink unless you want to be overly full or you have a bottomless pit for a stomach! This is now my default, go-to place for incredible food, ambience-be-darned!!

    Carne Asada Tacos
    Vanessa M.

Last week a coworker of mine offered to pick me up some tacos from a place she said was very fresh and tasty. I will never turn down tacos, so of course I Said yes! She came back with two fresh and homemade Carne Asada tacos with very fresh and made my hand tortillas. I added some of the salsa she brought back and the lime and bit right in. Wow. These were indeed very good. The Carne Asada was seasoned and flavored perfectly. I made sure to put in a standing order for every time she decides to go there. I never knew this place existed as it's hidden pretty well in the shopping center area on Oddie. I am planning to go back there and try out their other salsas and meats as well. I wouldn't say they are the best tacos I've had but they were certainly worthy of repeat business from me.

Alec raises his cattle in Fernley so super local, the cows are happy cows not trucked to feedlots at the end of their life cycle. They have good lives, these are the things that I appreciate as a meat eater. And yes I do know all beef is finished on grain, but there's a difference in mixing grass and grain in fields etc. I ordered through his website, super easy. I got a 1/4 of beef, after trimming and cutting, I ended up with around 110 lbs of beef. The percentages of certain types of meat described on his website, ended up being spot on for me. Yes, I wrote down every package, weighed them and created a spreadsheet haha. The packages came wrapped in saran wrap then butcher paper with a stamp of the type of cut. I like knowing what the weight is so a print out sticker with that would be preferred personally in the future, but I just wrote the weight on each package. I kept in touch with Alec and he was very adamant about quality and my happiness He said if it wasn't anything less than amazing, he'd get me a new one. I have the messages for proof, but to be honest, even if I wasn't 100% happy, I could never do that to a small business over possibly small qualms. He cheered me on when I sent him some pics of my first meals with the meat I got from him. He is a young guy, expanding his long run, multi generational family business. On Facebook he showed that he was opening up a store front and I couldn't be more excited for him and for Reno. This is a dream basically, to have local sources of meat, in affordable prices. And I appreciate his ability to take a chance and try to bring back some of the good things from older genertions like neighborhood butcher shops. I suggest giving him a try when you need a butcher or want a beef share for the family if you have the room. It ends up being incredibly worth it cost wise in the long run even though it can be intimidating for an upfront cost. In the end, we have been going through our beef pretty slow, I still have around 50% of it left, and haven't bought beef at a store since February. I've eaten some new meals, cooked cuts in new ways and learned to like hamburger again (because this stuff is tasty and not close to store bought). I haven't had any bad cuts, and I feel so good eating this beef, supporting local business and new generations.

So we came here to try their food. I'll start with the market. The meat dept is stocked pretty good with a lot of different marinated and cooked meats. Seeing that we figured the lunch to be pretty good. I ordered 3 carnitas street tacos and my wife ordered meat only carnitas burrito. I'll be honest we have a favorite spot in Phoenix,AZ that we go to frequently when down there so our review is being compared to their food. So comparing the two here we go. This places carnitas was pretty tasteless. Just didn't have much flavor. So my wife's burrito was probably lacked the size compared to AZ. In AZ they ask you when building their burrito what you want ie. Salsa on top of the meat before they wrap it. Then ask you if you need more. If so you just tell them how many in a decent size container. Here she asked us if we wanted two. So we got our two. I don't know if that was all we were suppose to get. But my street tacos could have used at least 2 for my three tacos. But the burrito could have used 4 by itself. I went back in to get two more and I swear they we being really tight on giving out anymore. I finally received two more small containers of salsa. I was willing to pay. They declined the idea of paying and gave me two for our lunch we had paid for. Next is no seating so it's take out only. Not something we were looking for but it is what it is. So for us it's not a place we are looking for. AZ is putting a high bar to compare to but if we're laying down $20+ for two then the bar has to be closely reached. This place did not come close. I hope if the owner reads this he'll realize that a simple thing like enough salsa is simple in keeping a customer returning. Salsa is cheap if you want a return customer.
