The rumor was true...and they had most of their staple teas and juice cocktail drinks to choose from! Being the first time in a WinCo store, I was impressed by the size of the place and the name-brand selections they carry for some items. The aisles were wide and easy to navigate. What was supposed to be a quick grab and go of beverages turned into 45 minutes of shopping for many items. They have fresh-cut meats and fresh-caught seafood in the back of the store. Their frozen food section was also quite large compared to standard grocery stores. They carry fresh produce as well! On the way out, there was a large sign saying this is an employee-owned company. That's pretty neat I'm not handing my money to a large faceless corporation, but to a consortium of employees. WinCo may become a once a month or once a quarter stop to restock some of our family favorites!

The staff doesn't just do their jobs, they do them with a level of patience and genuine kindness that you don't forget. Whether it's someone helping you find something or just a quick interaction at checkout, it never feels rushed or transactional. It feels human. There's a calm, helpful energy throughout the store. People seem willing to go the extra step without making it feel like a big deal, which is exactly what you want but rarely find. Also worth noting, the store runs efficiently. It's organized, things are easy to find, and the overall experience just works. But what really sets it apart is the people. That's the difference-maker here. You leave with your groceries, but you also leave with the impression that you were actually treated well. That's not common.

My friend got the smoked kielbasa dill pickle soup w/sour cream and I got the solyanka (beef, smoked kielbasa, veggies). We were intrigued by the dill in the first soup and that was mild but still tasty. The solyanka was delicious as well. For pierogis, we got the 12 plate to share three different kinds: farmer's cheese & chives, potato & cheese & jalapeño, and potato & bacon & onions. I think my favorite was the chives one followed by the bacon one. The jalapeño one was pretty mild. I wish that they had told us how the flavors were arranged on the plate. The honey cake was really delicious and the layers looked amazing. Even as full as I was, I ate the whole slice. The restaurant is attached to their little market. It's cozy inside and quite cute/quaint. I do agree that the service can be a bit slow in a way that was noticeable but didn't leave me feeling neglected. I would definitely return to try more of the menu.

FINALLY!!!! Casa Grande FINALLY has Asian grocery. We just moved into the area for work-related…read morereasons and not going to lie.. but I have been super SAD that I would have to get Asian grocery from one of three places: 1. Chandler/Mesa/Phoenix 2. Weee! 3. Safeway I believe this place used to be a booth at the Grande shops just across the street but they finally have their own physical location (cheers and well-deserved!!!). Although this place primarily caters to Filipino cuisine (yes, they have lumpia wrapper here!), you will find other main Asian cuisine ingredients here like mirin, gochujang, Indian/Chinese spices, Japanese snacks, etc. They offer a variety of frozen Filipino foods, as well as some fresh fruits & vegetables that are hard to find in American grocery stores around here (i.e. grapefruit, water spinach, calamansi, etc)~! They do also have a hot food section, so if you're craving some Filipino food, you can grab something here on your quick lunch break. Everything is a little on the pricier side but honestly, I don't mind the extra $2 to $5 because HEY, they're the first Asian grocery in the city and they already offer SO much. Also, the owners are SUPER friendly. Thank you for having a wonderful shop in the Casa Grande community! I hope this place gets bigger and better! On our way out, as we walked by the customer service desk, I spied with my little eyes, this huge turquoise stuffed animal just chillin' on the ledge. I said, "I want that!!" My sister laughed at me as I picked it up and wondered how much it was. I guessed $60 but there was an employee nearby and my sister asked her how much it was. She said, "$15!" My eyes about popped out of their sockets!! Whaaaat?! So I take Mr. Dino around the corner to the register and prepare to pay for him. The other employee, Angelica, processed my purchase and at first, I saw $49.99 on the register. I was about to leave the dino behind but then she said, "if you put your phone number in, it's cheaper, I think it's in sale." Enter my number I did and BOOM!!! Unfortunately, when I got home, the steaks varied significantly in size, and one was clearly not a center-cut filet. It was disappointing, especially since I was preparing a special meal on short notice. Update to my original review: After reflecting on my experience, I realized my original review didn't fully represent the business. From the moment I walked in, everyone was as friendly and welcoming as they have been during my previous visits. The staff was also very helpful in recommending some of their prepared side dishes, including the mac and cheese, twice-baked potatoes, and potato skins. They even provided cooking suggestions for both the air fryer and grill, which were appreciated. Although I was frustrated with how the filets were cut, I have to say the quality of the meat itself was excellent. The filets were incredibly tender, full of flavor, and everyone enjoyed them. The sides were also a big hit with our guests, especially the potato skins. I also want to recognize their outstanding customer service. The owner responded to my review promptly, and the store manager called me first thing the following morning to discuss my experience and make things right. That level of responsiveness and genuine care for their customers is becoming increasingly rare and deserves recognition. While my initial experience with the butcher counter was disappointing, I appreciate how seriously they took my feedback and their commitment to customer satisfaction. Because of that, I'll gladly continue shopping here and look forward to seeing the same high standards reflected in future visits.
