Cheers to the new opening of Carnesale Commons!
UCLA has been making so much renovations and recently opened up Carnesale Commons. I just attended an open house and they went all out for this event. It included a brief tour with amazing refreshments by UCLA Catering. It is basically an upgraded version of Covel Commons.
The Space: The lobby has a very clean, modern feel downstairs. It's as if you're entering a hotel lobby. Once you go up to the 3rd floor, they have the big conference room that has an amazing view overlooking UCLA.
Catering: They went above and beyond with the food, I was truly blown away. They offered salty, sweet, drinks, and a fancy cheese table. There was a fancy taco stand offering shrimp or beef with all the toppings and chips and salsa on the side. The shrimp was a hit with everyone. They also had pork or mushroom sliders with a side of delicious potato chips. I was impressed with their cheese table set up, it was classy. There was an assortment of cheeses, breads, spreads, meats...it's like a table of charcuterie heaven.
The cocktails was extremely impressive. One concoction had cucumber foam on top and another with an orange peel, oh you fancy now UCLA! They also had a separate coffee section that is catered from a separate company offering fresh hot and cold cappuccinos.
Dessert offerings had vanilla and chocolate macaroons, walnut cake, and fresh mixed berry fruits (strawberry, blueberry, boysenberry) with whipped cream on top.
This was definitely a great way to impress UCLA faculty to hold potential future events/conferences here. The service, catering, and the VIEW was top notch.
Here's an eight-clap for you guys! read more
