This place is huge, seems new and is so cute, comfortable and clean. The night we were there they…read morehad 2 food trucks outside which were great. They also had pizza inside which was great, but the rest of the menu was limited and they were out of things. We were happy with the food trucks. The service is great. They know their beer. You can get a tasting of several or just have whatever you want on tap or in bottles or cans. They have a great selection. It can be a tad loud because of the high ceilings, but you can hear eat other if you avoid the bar area. Five Points is located in an adorable area of El Segundo. It is on Nevada Street. Parking is so easy. They have a lot of people to take care of you and they will help you. If you love a brewery, you will love this place. Try the food trucks.

So the subtitle of this place says "Filipino inspired pizzas"…read more.. I arrived around 7:30 on a Tuesday night for some pizza and a beer. Based on Yelp reviews and pics which showed the pizza. Ready to go all in on the Jeepney (out of curiosity. I've never actually been to the Philippines, so wouldn't have been able to judge). Bartender says, "um. We're pretty low on food" and proceeds to cover the entire bottom half of the menu (which is the pizza), leaving only the bar bites as available. So: heated up frozen pretzel was solid. And hot when delivered. The beer was tasty. Could prob warrant a fourth star for the space. But since I walked almost two miles for the pizza, and now have to solve separately for dinner, pretty disappointed. So was gonna do three stars. But Todd (the bartender) was super nice at the end, gave me the back story (busy weekend = no pizza), so redeemed the fourth star. Will prob go back to try the pizza. Just not on a Tuesday.

I know it primarily because it is the halfway point on my evening run. I always stop and take a look at the view, which in my opinion is magnificent. In fact the Bird Nest is ALL about the view from the patio. You can see from Marina del Rey, to the West (see photo I posted) and Century City, to the East. The spot is truly inspiration point. The next time you are visiting the LMU campus be sure to take the time to visit the Bird Nest and soak in the view.

O Bird Nest. You'll always be the Bird's Nest to me. For some reason, either right before I…read moregraduated from LMU or right afterward, it became a big deal for people who worked for Student Center Facilities or whatever department to refer to this swingin' remnant of the '70s as Bird Nest rather than Bird's Nest. Whatever. This weird clubhouse-like structure will be familiar to anyone who grew up in the '70s or '80s in California. It seems that every place near a beach or a pool had some wooden building with dark windows, a loft, and a conversation pit. LMU's Bird's Nest, or Bird Nest, is no different. I attended many a campus event here, and all of them were disappointing. OK, that's not exactly true. Many of them were wonderful, but Bird's Nest never really lived up to its '70s hype. The loft was always kind of sad, and the conversation pit, while definitely not sad, just never did the best job of maintaining conversations. I will say, however, that it was cool that during pre-orientation my freshman year they had Dazed and Confused on loop here during a mixer. I didn't really watch the movie, and I actually really didn't enjoy this mixer, but this movie and the feelings I had were very appropriate. The Bird's Nest was much cooler when it had a swimming pool next to it. They took that out either in the late '90s or right around 2000. When I was at LMU, it was a tradition that you were thrown into a body of water on your birthday. Most people got thrown into the Foley Pond, which is scary because it's really really really shallow so if you struggled at all you were likely to get hurt. If you had a nice friends, they would throw you into the Bird's Nest's pool. I was one of the throwers once, and the lead thrower counted 2 twice, so I let go of the girl's arms while he held onto her legs. She wasn't injured, but I felt really bad.

The P-40 in the ROC/Flying Tigers paint is a 1:1 model like the planes outside, but it looks real even well past a first glance. Someone did an awesome job painting the oil steaks a real P-40 would have had. The food was very good. I can't speak to the whole menu, but I'll be back. This is definitely an upgrade over Denny's! And they have more than sodas, iced tea, and water. If you haven't had aguas frescas, you don't know what you're missing. The staff is nice. I don't usually tip for simply entering my order, but the bartender was exceptional helpful. Once you're done eating, go out back and look at the real planes. Those aren't fiberglass! Well, one is, but that should be obvious. But it's still cool to see it as a 1:1 model.

They have a big parking lot with a few people directing traffic and very clear signage of where to park. Once inside, again very clear signage and when I went - no lines! The staff was very friendly and helpful, quick to scan and grab items. Overall a seamless experience to get the BTS week of concerts going! It's super easy to pick up the official merch and I'll definitely be doing this in the future, as well! Thanks Proud Bird team for serving Army!!!!

Super cool brewery that has excellent drinks and delicious food trucks…read more I also love their music and fun vibes in addition to their cool sweatpants and hoodies. Love coming here for the sport events also.

Hosted my grad party here awhile back. The woman I coordinated the party with was great and…read moreextremely responsive. Their price for renting a space was better than most in the South Bay which I appreciated and it came with the space, tables, and beer tokens. I do wish however that their drink menu had more options, as it's essentially only a few beers and that was it. They also let you cater your own food which I appreciated. However, the day of event was not great and we did not appreciate the hospitality of the main guy we worked with. The main guy was not kind or helpful and I would not chose to host here again because of him. Besides the tables for guests to sit on which were very dirty and not cleaned of previous food scraps, we only were provided a few tables to put our own food and items on. Considering it's a party rental space I would've expected there to be significantly more tables that we could use for our event. In addition, it was a hot summer day and they only provided us with a few umbrellas after we moved our event to the outdoor space to accommodate common space, leaving our guests hot and uncomfortable. He wasn't kind when we asked for additional tables/umbrellas and he also was extremely rude to me during the party which really bothered me. A couple of friends had given me wine bottles as gifts-a very normal gift to give. And they were clearly gifts and on the gift table, not intended to be drank or used. He aggressively came up to me and told me they can't be there, to which I explained I did not bring them and they are gifts and will be taken home with me and have no intention of opening. He proceeded to continuously tell me to remove them from the property even though I stated multiple times they were gifts and not to be drank. He was rude, unprofessional, and should have not chose to share this with me as I was in the middle of socializing with my guests and by no means wanted to "deal" with the few wine bottle gifts that weren't causing any issues. Overall, the brewery is cool and everybody else was great. But I would not choose to work with them again because of the lead man and encourage him to approach future events with a kinder heart and better professionalism as I imagine manyyy people will receive wine as gifts in the future and it is not right to harass them during their event if so.

Venue provided chairs tables and overhead projector for additional fee and another plus. ample parking outside. I highly recommend renting the space if you are serving guest between the number of about 12 all the way to about 45/50. The rates are great and their response time to book is very timely. Do not bother booking this Venue! The owner is so rude and unwilling to answer any of my questions…read more( via email ) so I could have information in writing . I was also told two different prices and she was so stubborn & sucked at communicating! As you can see I told her twice I was willing to tour or go on a phone call with her as part of the booking process she chose to ignore me twice and blamed me. ( she took over a week to answer and I had to email again for a faster response ) ALSO she states I was not willing to follow her onboarding process ( bullshit ) as you can see I clearly said I was ok with a phone call or tour . Look Cherella Nicholson, ( owner ) learn how to run a business, you don't need my business. Okay you don't need my money and I don't need to give you my money either! I will gladly take my event somewhere else and my hard earned money. She states she answered my questions * she did not, considering I never got the details I was looking for *
