They take forever to do paperwork but they sell reliable cars and even do buy backs. If I had to deal with a car dealership in the future I would ONLY come here. read more

I would never recommend coming here to buy or even look at a car. Super uncomfortable and unprofessional, I wanted to just look at a 2022 Dodge charger that I seen then it lead to me sitting down going over price/monthly payment. I can't remember the guy that helped me but I remember he called over his manager whose name is Robert and he was very rude, talking to me like if I was a dumb kid. It took two men to talk to me and it gave me such anxiety. I took my money and time else where and got myself a 2025 Kia K5 :) read more

Anastacio did a great job in following up with the purchase of our new vehicle! We were researching other car lots and found this to be the best price for the vehicle. Thanks! read more

My family and I just purchased a Nissan Rogue and we had a great experience from Victor, even though he is new to the industry he was nothing but virtuous and very helpful. Him along with Robert made this transaction great, and as smooth as possible and as detailed as it could be. So thank you CarMotive! We had a great experience. read more

Genuinely disgusted because they sell cars that don't work. They look good but give it six months before you find major engine failure. From the look of the other reviews we are not the first. Thanks Carmotive for selling a car that needs a $11,000 repair and they still haven't fixed our seatbelt that they said they would fix. We got a car to help our special needs daughter to transport her to her classes. Now we have no functioning car, need to pay 4k for the diagnosis and still in limbo on what to do with the car.

I loved the car buying process at Carmotive so much that I just purchased my 2nd vehicle from them. I had the pleasure of having Andrew Lopez assist me. Let me tell you, he was awesome. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He never pressured me to making any decision I wasn't comfortable with! Everything went smoothly, I went in and drove off in a Tesla in a blink of an eye. Thanks ANDREW and everyone at CARMOTIVE. read more

I had a great experience at Carmotive in Santa Maria everyone was extremely friendly and professional.

Jeremy was very helpful and informative in helping me decide what car best suited me and my family! I highly respect choosing Car Motive. They don't hassle you like other dealerships. I was about to drive out to Oxnard to look for a vehicle but instead I was able to stay in my hometown and find the best car I could have imagined. Thank you again Jeremy and the Car Motive Team!!! read more

Do not buy a car from them!!! It's took them 2 weeks to get all paperwork in order, and still out wrong information on! Also 3.5 weeks later wanted the car back! Even though everything was done and approved! If we had the time and energy we would of taken it further and kept the car! They wouldn't even tell my husband why they wanted to back out of the deal, the finance manager refused to speak to my husband, and would not give him any reason as to why! Our credit got ran multiple times and for nothing! Our credit scores dropped big time because of this! Something real shady is happening there and our sales guys now wants to quite working there because everything that has happened to us! read more

This is the last place you want to buy a car from. I've always bought my cars at the big box dealerships but they had the car I was looking for so I went to check it out. There was a nicer car on the lot that I casually mentioned would be nice to own & they said they could get me in if I wanted it. We ran the numbers, & they told me the bank wanted me to have a little higher income. So they suggested that I inflate my earnings & try another bank. I told them I wasn't gonna lie to the bank, that's blatant fraud. As soon as I said that the salesman went to get his manager who is also his uncle or something. The dude came out & was immediately being rude & condescending. Tried to get passed it, & went for a cheaper car instead. I drove it home & the next morning it wouldn't start. When it finally did I drove it straight to the dealership & they offered to fix it or put me in another car. I told them I didn't want another car, I was going to another dealership. Salesman goes to get his uncle & the guy comes out fuming, yelling & cursing me saying "you're f*cking crazy if you think you're leaving this lot without a car". They had me in a bend. It was either I take another car or be stuck with the dud they sold me. I reluctantly chose another car. Service was terrible & cold from this point on. A few days later I get a call from the bank asking me to confirm some details in my application. These guys had inflated my income without me knowing. I told the bank about my experience with them & how they pushed me to lie earlier but I wasn't for it. Thankfully, the bank took my side & stopped the loan from being issued. I took the car back & that sleazy manager told me no other dealership would get me into a car & I was an idiot for not playing along. I went to a big box dealership the same day where they treated me like family & put me into a certified pre owned car with no issues. I'll never buy from a small dealer again. Especially not this one. read more

Just bought my Ram pickup from Big Mike at Carmotive. I didn't really plan on buying this truck today BUT with everything Big Mike and the other great employees there, I couldn't resist the deal they gave me. They worked their numbers and it wasn't going back and fourth 2,3 or 4 times. Big Mike went back crunched the numbers and gave me a fantastic deal on a Beautiful truck. When I went in to pick the truck up today 04-24-2020 they had lowered the price down even a little bit more to make sure the payments worked out even less than what they promised me the day before. I promise you will get Amazing service,a great vehicle for an amazing price. They Really make Everything so Easy. Thank you to everyone at CARMOTIVE for helping get My New Dodge Ram Truck. And my new friend Big Mike and I are taking my truck fishing. read more

Drove by and saw a car we liked being a Tesla, went in, car was dead and we were told it would be out to charge. 4 hours later nothing. Then we were told to return the next day being an hour away from home. Customer service was the worst! We will never return nor recommend this place as the sales man was rude and even raised his voice at me. read more

I have bought four cars in the course of two years, I put an extra guarantee on all of them. The last car I bought had a transmission failure after 6 months. I called JC from the Carmotive service area to activate the extra guarantee and coordinate what should be done. I've been on this for almost two weeks and they haven't resolved the issue and everyone fools me by saying that they are waiting for a confirmation that takes 48 hours, then 48 hours more that they will call me in two hours, etc. and nobody tells me anything, I have to be calling. Really be very careful with this issue of the extra guarantee and buying in this place because they do not fulfill what they offer you, and they only cause you a problem by paying for a car with an extra guarantee that is useless. read more

I just wanted to update and renew my review. We have had the car for a couple years now and it has been nothing but problem after problem. We have spent thousands of dollars fixing it. Hundreds on multiple alignments alone. This car has definitely been in at least one accident that was not on their report. We would love to sell it but we still owe more than it's worth and unlike Carmotive, my conscience won't allow me to sell a potentially life threatening lemon to anyone. I have never heard anything from Carmotive. Not even a simple apology. I will admit though, at the time my wife purchased the car, we had not met yet and she didn't know a whole lot about cars. Just goes to show you, though, how they see people like that as prey instead of someone they want to help. If you care about yourself and your family, as I'm sure you do, DO NOT trust these dishonest sleazy salesmen. read more

Brought a car in to sell after they contacted me. I informed them I was not going to accept the kbb purchase offer because I had higher offers. I informed them that if they were not willing offer the same price or higher then to forget it and let's not waste each other's time. They informed me that they could do better, so an appointment was scheduled. At the appointment they proceeded to lowball me out at 35% less than the other offers I had received. They didn't drive the car, turn it on, or even look inside the car. I hate it when people waste my time and play me for an idiot. I sold the car private party within less then 24 hours after posting online for 2.5 times more than they offered me. If all you want to do is dump a car then these are your guys but if you want to sell it for a fair price do it on your own. read more

Worst place to buy a vehicle. They sell rental and auction cars. The sells people will rush you as soon as you get in the lot. If u say that ur intersted in a vechile and then you change your mind they get very rude. I personally got into many yelling arguments with the manager mike. He is very unprofessional. Same goes with all the sales staff. Carmotive is full of lies. Dont be fooled by there nice looking vehicles they just look nice and are filled with problams. Same goes to the dealership next door AUTO WORLD they are a sistered company AND BOTH SELL BAD VEHICLES. I only gave one star because I had two otherwise I couldn't post it they would get a 0 star rating to not shop at carmotive or Autoworld read more

08/09/2021 the owner helped me in replacing my Kia Sedona for a similar vehicle. I am now able to move around. Taking my children to the doctor's and school without worrying if I missed the bus or asking for a ride. I trade in my small vehicle for a 2016 Kia minivan, two weeks later I noticed oil leak. It has been bit more than 2 months. They said they were going to be responsible for the repairs however they had done nothing!!! I had already made 3 payments to the loan and I still don't have my vehicle. The mechanics over at Kia dealership was waiting on Mike to approve further repairs to the motor. I come to find out that it was not only an oil leak, but had water and oil in the heads( engine) that could have cause a huge EXPLOSION! They not only put my life in danger but my three young children!!! I am a single mother that was just looking for a family vehicle and they did not care for our safety. Shame to find out I purchased an auto fraud vehicle. They sale all the vehicles AS-IS so I am stuck with a $20,000 loan plus $6,000 of repairs. Hopefully someone reads this and don't buy anything from Carmotive. I tried reaching out for auto fraud purchase attorneys, but since I bought it AS-IS they can't help me.
