I first reached out on instagram then we transitioned to the phone in order to discuss details such as flavor, colors, pricing, and the date. Ruby offers delivery free of charge within an 8 mile radius of her location which was very helpful. We set a date and time. She was kind enough to send photos of the cake and I was absolutely blown away! She totally brought my vision to life! When she dropped it in person, it looked even better with glitter on top! When we got home and tried it, I enjoyed the texture and flavor of the cake. It was soft and was the right amount of sweetness. If you're ever in need of a cake for an event, I highly recommend! :)

The second time, I ordered a cake for my SIL's birthday (short notice) and Maria accommodated without hesitation! I gave her my inspo pics and she NAILED it! The cake was so delicious!!! We will definitely be using Maria in the future! I highly recommend Maria and I know you will not be disappointed WHEN you have her create something for your next event! :)

Ordered just under a month from the wedding and everyone on staff was so helpful. My husband and I ordered the sample box for fun, and we were suprised the flavors we thought we would pick we didn't and ended up with something else. We loved the style of cake we ordered (there were so many options), and 5 days before my sister and I went in to ask about the size cake platter we needed. They were so nice! On the day of the wedding, they gave precise instructions to the groomsmen on how to transport the cake (our venue was going to charge too much for vendor delivery). The cake really enhanced our photos. So much so, we are ordering the same cake for a "we survived being married one year" party:) Thank you Freedom - my review took almost a year to post, but we are ordering another one to make up for it:-)

The cheesecake was so good I had to sit in silence for a minute and reevaluate every life choice that led me to lesser cheesecakes. Creamy, rich, perfectly balanced, and somehow emotionally supportive. I'm pretty sure one bite repaired my credit score. The staff were unbelievably kind too. They treated me like I was a long-lost cousin returning from war with important cheesecake-related news. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and smelled like happiness and butter. At this point I don't even think this place is a bakery. I think it's a public service. If Cheesecake Dreamations ever starts a loyalty program, I will accidentally achieve platinum status by Thursday.

To say I am disappointed in the $70 Birthday cake my husband purchased is an understatement…read more He ordered a lemon cake with raspberry preserves with buttercream icing. What we received was a dry cake with hardly any flavor. My Mother thought it was just a yellow cake, she couldn't even taste the lemon. And she is an experienced baker. She made our lemon and raspberry wedding cake, that my husband was trying to recreate. The raspberry "preserves" were gelatinous, like pie filling from a can. Preserves should be a jam like consistency, only with larger fruit pieces. But sadly, this was goopy and artificial tasting. And the buttercream was greasy, not creamy, like it was made from Crisco shortening (not butter), sugar and water. It didn't even have any flavor (maybe they forgot to put vanilla extract in it?) Even the construction of the cake was poor. They clearly didn't put enough batter in the pans. Normally you shave the rounded top off to make it flat. This bakery just added tons of icing in an attempt to make up for the rounded edges. Which also meant there were barely any raspberry "preserves" in between the layers. And last but not least. When my husband special ordered the cake (in person) he asked for white sprinkles. When he arrived to pick up the cake, it wasn't ready. And they told him they didn't have white sprinkles. And offered to cover the entire cake in tiny rock hard pearls, that are typically only used sparingly for decorative purposes. Because they are so hard, many decorators recommend removing them before eating! My Dad bit into it and said it was like trying to eat buck shot. My Father has never met a cake or sweet he didn't like, until now. He didn't want another piece during his entire visit. My mother and I didn't even finish our first piece. To charge $70 for this 8" cake was just criminal. I would have returned it if I could.

She brought all of the elements of the wedding, its colors, and even my wedding dress into the design. It was white, but with a fine lace background hand designed to match my all-lace dress, she worked the same dark red roses into the cake design, and it was just the perfect size ... not too large and boxy, and not too small so that we needed a back up cake. She knew exactly what size to bake to match the number attending the reception. Maxine is a true professional. She made the Wedding Cake the Star of our Pebble Beach wedding and reception!
