I first reached out on instagram then we transitioned to the phone in order to discuss details such as flavor, colors, pricing, and the date. Service was friendly and patient as we messaged back and forth. I decided on a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream filling, light pink and white designs, with just my name in the center. Ruby offers delivery free of charge within an 8 mile radius of her location which was very helpful. We set a date and time. She was understanding when on the day of, we shifted to an earlier drop off and met us accordingly. Payment can be made through Zelle, Venmo, or cash upon arrival. She was kind enough to send photos of the cake and I was absolutely blown away! She totally brought my vision to life! When she dropped it in person, it looked even better with glitter on top! When we got home and tried it, I enjoyed the texture and flavor of the cake. It was soft and was the right amount of sweetness. If you're ever in need of a cake for an event, I highly recommend! :)

Creamy, rich, perfectly balanced, and somehow emotionally supportive. I'm pretty sure one bite repaired my credit score. The staff were unbelievably kind too. They treated me like I was a long-lost cousin returning from war with important cheesecake-related news. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and smelled like happiness and butter. At this point I don't even think this place is a bakery. I think it's a public service. This is a grab and go counter, though you could technically stay and eat it there since there was some seating. I grabbed a dozen and took them to a NYE potluck that day and folks said they really enjoyed it. Would recommend getting the plain, ube, and pass on the key lime (but thats just IMO).

She decided to cancel the class after about 45 minutes of trying to get it to work. The class description on the website included crumb coating, mixing, tinting and smoothing buttercream, using a turntable, using piping tips to make rosettes, rose petals and leaves. None of those techniques except maybe leaves was even to be taught in this class. There was a list of tools for participants to bring and we used none of those things except our aprons. When asked about this she merely said that the description on her website was wrong. However, I signed up for the class based on that description. The instructor/owner refused to give even partial refunds and would only allow participants to sign up for a future class. I would definitely not recommend taking any classes

I wasn't sure what flavors to choose and she guided me to a possible flavor selection from her most popular flavors and by asking what my son's favorite flavors were. Based off of strawberries (His favorite flavor) she came up with an amazing flavor profile for the cake, mini cupcakes and cake pops. The cake ended up being a classic vanilla cake layered with fresh strawberry cream, fresh strawberries, and a touch of strawberry coulis. The cake pops were triple chocolate flavor made with Belgian truffle chocolate--and strawberries, and last but not least the mini cupcakes were strawberry with lemon buttercream. The final products came out beyond my expectations from the visual presentation she nailed and even better than the inspiration photo I sent her and the taste was so delicious and tasty. It was a week before his birthday and i tried calling a few places but Maxine was the one that called me back right away and was able to do the cake in such a short notice. The cake is so cute and I'm very satisfied with it. Her cakes are never frozen and she has mastered her buttercream and I normally are not to fond of buttercream. The buttercream is a bit too sweet and thick for my taste but the chocolate cake is so moist and delicious. Maxine was both pleasant over the phone and in person. She informed me right away that she is licensed and gets inspected which right away I was sold. I drove about 45 mins to an hour to Maxine's home but it was worth it.
