From graduations to anniversaries to even divorce parties, they have always been willing to serve and bake up the best desserts for any occasion. My first experience was through word of mouth from the neighboring anteaters in Irvine. I had placed an order for a Valentine's special box that came with 3 cupcakes and 3 chocolate covered oreos. At that time I was single, but I had to buy it for myself to enjoy. The unique recipe of the frosting and chocolate was something I never had before! Nowadays, I have reached out to Cherry On Top Cake to do my wedding cake. I have full faith in the Head Baker here as she will pour her heart and soul into the final product. Thank you COTC for always being my go to for all these wonderful events in my life!!

I really hate to do this but our experience was really disappointing…read more I was looking around for local bake shops & bakers, other than the popular Bundt or Arleens, because we wanted something special for my friends birthday. I found Cake and Love, saw the reviews and thought "why not?" I love supporting local small businesses. I knew the designs weren't up to par compared to other places, however I read that the cakes tasted really good. My friend Marc ordered them and requested 4 cupcakes but the owner said she could only do a dozen. The design requested for the cupcakes was to write the name on 4 and the rest with birthday + Halloween designs. And he ordered four different flavors. She had a week to prepare and offered to drop them off. Not only was she an hour late, but she practically rushed off without giving us a chance to look at the cupcakes to check them. You can only imagine our disappointment when we opened the box. It looked absolutely terrible, rushed and as if a child decorated these. These cupcakes were for an adult. The taste was just ok too. The chocolate cakes were mushy, the red velvet were dry and the other two were 'eh.' It was too late to find something else so we sucked it up and used them to sing happy birthday anyway. Regardless if there was any mis-communication, this is not acceptable. And I feel that we deserve a refund.

When I walked up, the only employee was outside cleaning and, unfortunately, didn't seem particularly thrilled to have an approaching customer. That first impression definitely didn't set the tone for a great experience. I was especially disappointed with the vegan donut selection. There was only one vegan option available, and honestly, it didn't look very appealing, so I decided to pass. I ended up going with a maple bar instead, which was actually pretty good. Unfortunately, between the lack of vegan options and the less-than-welcoming first impression, this visit just didn't do much for me. If you're specifically looking for vegan donuts, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. For us, this was a one-and-done visit.
