The woman behind the counter spent a good hour very patiently working to untie all of the knots in those chains. I stayed and watched so that I could learn how to do it and to witness the miraculous unraveling of those gold threads. She never complained or lost focus. I expected some kind of per hour charge but there was no charge! Just a gracious and patient woman who was happy to solve the puzzle.

What I found is that those other shops didn't do the fabrication work themselves, and would outsource that part of the job. Their timelines were 3-6months out and on top of that, they wanted to charge outrageous prices. None of this worked for me as I was trying to surprise my wife for her birthday and I needed this project done in 2 weeks. I'm so lucky to have found Tim as he made time to meet with me immediately, worked with me on customizing the design and in 2 weeks he made it happen!! His rates are very reasonable and working directly with an actual goldsmith/jeweler just made the process so much more streamlined and easy. Thank you again!
