We spent the morning hiking and exploring above Alhambra and then the Carmen de los mártires gardens and were famished. Quick search on yelp turned this spot up so we walked down. I really didn't pay attention to what we were getting ourselves into - this place is so beautiful, the view is outstanding and the food was great. It's a high end spot, however, and we felt a little badly about our state of dress but it was fine, the place was mostly empty because Alhambra was closed. Our waitress was an absolute delight. So incredibly helpful in making menu selections and she was spot on with all her choices.
The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the beef tenderloin was very tough. Seemed like a different cut of beef than what we are used to in the States, or something went very wrong during preparation. It was very tasty but really tough and chewy.
The tuna could have been more of a seer but that's ok it was still great. The suckling pig was really good- skin was crisp and the meat was tender, juicy and sweet. The zucchini and burrata salad was out of this world with subtle flavors of the pesto and pistachios, just the right amount of coarse salt, everything fresh and the zucchini was artfully prepared.
The restaurant itself is lovely outside and in. We were seated right along the railing and the view was spectacular. Nice clean spacious bathrooms too which is always a plus. Overall highly recommend! read more
