We have used a few cleaning companies in the area and never had a bad experience, but this one went above and beyond for a basic clean. Scheduling was easy, they were very responsive on here and sent text updates to remind of date and time, as well as telling us the names of who was coming which was nice. I will admit, with two kids under two we were scrambling to have the house ready for cleaning. We ended up having to put some baskets of clean laundry on the bed just to get them out of the way. I was fully expecting those to just be left there so they could do the floor. Instead they still made the bed and even took the duvet cover from the top of the laundry and put the duvet in it - I was not expecting that! We also have a dresser with a glass top. I had put a fountain on there and it ended up leaving a residue on the glass. We, along with other cleaners, had tried to clean it and never could. My husband and I actually just discussed replacing it and taking the loss. But they actually got it cleaned! Overall, I was very happy with their work. They actually charged less than companies we have used in the past too. read more

I have had two appointments so far with Carmelitas Cleanup and was happy with the quality of both cleans. I think the price was very reasonable and really liked that I could do all the scheduling through text message with Juan, who was very pleasant to deal with. Maria and Angelica did my first clean - a "deep clean" when I moved in. And Maria returned for my first monthly clean. Both were very nice and did a thorough job. They arrived very promptly at the time of appointments which I appreciate. I liked the flexibility of being able to schedule a flat 2-hour cleaning secession, and feel like I got the most value out of this time to focus on the most important cleaning areas. I had to continue to clean up after they left. They raised the price and didn't really clean well. There were spots everywhere on my kitchen & bathroom cabinets. They did a very minimal/ basic below average cleaning. This was the first time I hired them, you would think they would try to impress you to win you as their customer....I wouldn't recommend them. The rooms cleaned were satisfactory, but nothing that would steer me away from my usual cleaning team especially because Carmelita's is the same price. I was just trying out different cleaning companies until my usual cleaning team is available again after having a baby. It says on the Yelp page credit cards accepted. But the company should also clarify that a credit card fee is charged to their customers. I was charged a fee because they did not have an apparatus to scan my credit card and had to resort to PayPal. If I had known ahead of time credit cards would have encountered an extra charge, I would have gotten cash from an ATM. read more

We hired Carmelitas Cleanup to service the air bnb my husband and I were staying at as a "trial run" while our home was being renovated. We very much liked Maria's work ethic and requested her for the second visit, she is actually the only reason I didn't give one star. Juan, on the other hand, who is administration, is a nice man, but he completely dropped the ball. Here's how and why- When it came to getting a quote for the house, they came over and we received 3 options (different areas of the house don't need cleaning every visit). The third option given to us was for the entire house and was $250. That was fair. When I sent 2 lists of the areas to be alternatively cleaned each visit (the first two options were not exactly what we requested), Juan sent me a quote for $175 and $250. Mind you, these are areas of the house and not the entire house. I asked him if he could please clarify why he quoted $250 for certain areas when he had already quoted me $250 for the whole house! He said he would get back to me. Over a week later he replies saying he only has two time slots left (hours that do not fit our work schedules as we had previously talked about), and if I'm still interested to let him know about the time slots and that only then would he take the time to clarify. I found this unacceptable and not at all professional. We were looking forward to hiring this company two to three times a month. This would have been $300- $400+ a month in revenue for Carmelitas Cleanup for years to come. It's a shame that Juan did not take the time to call and clarify the discrepancy because I am now taking the time to write this review. read more

Incredible service! Moving out of a house is hard enough, so we decided to hire to help with the cleaning. Juan was great to communicate with and super responsive. Had the pleasure of having Maria and Angelica and they did an amazing job. They were on time, very thorough, and quick.Cleaned our 2 bed room 1 bath room apartment in 3 hours and it was SPOTLESS! This clean up crew is amazing. I called them on Saturday asking for ASAP service to clean 3 bathrooms for a house we were in the process of listing. It was completely overwhelming all the work that had to be done in just a few days to list. They called me back within 30 minutes and said they could be there in 90 minutes to clean. Love these guys. Reached out to set up a time to get a quote for their maid service to come by once every other week. They returned my inquiry quickly and we setup a date a few days following that. When the day came, Juan and his team were prompt and extremely professional. They conducted a walk through of the house to gauge how much it was going to be. I asked about cleaning windows as a separate service and Juan provided the details as well as a suggestion to just roll it all into the bi-weekly cleaning to save some money. I took his suggestion and went through with it right then and there as the price was extremely reasonable and I had a great feeling. They responded promptly to our request for a quote, and we made an appointment for them to come look at the space before providing that quote. A very nice gentleman named Juan came out and he was very attentive to detail; he opened drawers and cupboards and checked for how much dust was present. We set a date for the cleaning, and he and his assistant were prompt. They cleaned everything, even removed old shelf-liner paper and took out any excess trash. And because there were a couple of windows they couldn't open and clean, they cleaned our patio and garage, too, even though I had told them not to worry about those spaces!
