    The original offer 12/13/24 on our trade and the notice the car was ready 1/7/25.

    We had gone into the local store and although they did not have a vehicle we were interested in, we selected one to be delivered for a $99 fee. It was due into the store 12/16-22/24. We called and checked if the car was in several times, but was told the same thing "it was in transit". On 12/22/24 we received a text after hours that the car was delayed. On 12/26/24, we received a message that the "rims did not meet the standards and would be sanded and painted". We had no idea when the vehicle would be available. By this time, the purchase offer expired and the New Year's holiday was here. After the holiday, we resubmitted for our vehicle to be purchased and it was nearly $2000 less than 10 Days before!!!!! Due to the delay of 2 weeks, and the loss of $2000 in what our trade would be worth, we purchased a vehicle elsewhere. We feel strongly that CarMax was not being straight forward about issues with the vehicle we paid to ship to Wilmington. Therefore, we took our business to another local dealer. Today, 1/7/25, we received a message the car we had paid to ship to Wilmington was now available; 3 weeks and 4 days after placing the order and receiving a written offer from CarMax!!! The only communication is via text. How about the store manager call one of us!!! And reimburse the $99 we lost, while waiting for a car that is in questionable condition.

    If I could, I would give zero stars the checks are deposit only!!!!!!!!!!! they pay bottom dollar for your car

    BUYERS BEWARE! On…read moreNovember 15, 2022, my son bought a Chevy Cruze from T&G Value Center. He worked all summer to buy a car for transportation to and from school. We inquired about the dirt crusted oil appearance on the lower front part of the engine. Mike Griffin assured us that what we were seeing was were a previous oil leak had been, and that his mechanic had repaired the hoses on the front bottom of the engine. He continuously assured us that there were no issues with the car, that he had his mechanic thoroughly service the car. Mind you that we did not see any oil on the pavement where the car was parked. The next morning we awoke to oil leaking from the car. We carried the car to our local Chevrolet dealer and it will cost $4500 to pair the many oil leaks in the engine. Chevrolet recommends replacing all the hoses and seals on the car engine. We called to inform Mike about the problem with the car and he made all sorts of excuses, but no reference to assisting us with fixing the car. Based on my interactions with him I feel it is my responsibility as a consumer to warn as many people as possible about this con-man! I know there are many more consumers who have been conned by T&G Value Center and/or Mike Griffin Auto Center. I am writing this review to warn perspective car buyers to stay away from T&G Value Center (aka Mike Griffin Auto Center). Mike Griffin is a proven liar and a dishonest car salesman! BUYERS BEWARE, STAY AWAY!

    On 5.26.2021, I bought a van from Mike Griffin (aka T&G Value Center) for $19,950. This van has a…read more$3900 plus issue that needs to be fixed. Mike was fully aware of this problem at the time of sale and did not disclose this information to me. I know this because the van needed a recall. When I took the van to the recall dealer (Bob King Autohaus of Wilmington), they said the previous owner, Mike Griffin (T&G), had already been informed a month earlier that the recall could not be performed because the van had been modified from original and that modification must be fixed before any recall could be performed. The recall dealer produced the invoice given to Mike with the denied services and the cost of the fix, ($3900 plus tax). All signed by Mike one month before I bought the van. No mention of this defect was ever brought to my attention during our transaction even though I asked if there were any issues with the van and if Mike or T&G had any records for the van. When he finally returned my calls he told me he was not required to share that information with me and had no intentions of providing any compensation.
