Had such an amazing car buying experience here. Levi was my salesperson and he was helpful, patient and knowledgeable. I really appreciated how laid back everyone was and I did not feel pressured in the slightest. They buy cars in excellent condition so I fell in love with the first one I seriously looked at and test drove it. Upon deciding to move forward with the application process, the approval only took a minute and then we began the seamless process of document uploading and signing. I was able to drive off the lot same day and I really appreciated that they filled my gas tank and ensured my car was immaculate. Highly recommend buying here if you hate the typical predatory practices of other car dealerships.

I am absolutely blown away by the poor customer service in the "service department". I am a return customer to Carmax (2 successful, happy purchases in California) but this here is the absolute worst! I purchased what has been my dream car and the dream is now a nightmare. I'm holding on to hope that the Madison TN team can redeem my faith in Carmax but it's unlikely. As I sit here for the second time today simply to have my car fixed, I'm disappointed by the lack of urgency when it comes to taking care of something that should have been done two weeks ago. I will post an update when I return this loaner and my car is actually repaired.

I leave this review because I filled out a survey explaining my experience and requested a call back. If Car Max had actually called me back then this could have been resolved and not shared on social media. But, like so many other companies, requesting reviews prematurely, they will get this. I hope it helps other consumers to be wary. My wife and I shipped a car to TN from NC ($250),test drove it, and meticulously inspected it. After two days of procuring finances from another lender we came in at 6pm and didn't finish paperwork till 8pm (saved 4.5% in finance interest rates!). Being dark we drove the new car 2 miles to our home. In the driveway I noticed the roof rack had been bashed in and seriously damaged. I immediately drove it back and they said "we don't know how this happened, we'll get it fixed". So by deductive reasoning, the only explanation, an employee took our new car through their parking lot drop arm barrier and damaged the vehicle. At this point an incident should have been reported to a supervisor. May have been! But security cameras would show exactly what happened, regardless. The repair date has been set for two weeks out for what they say is a one hour repair. They don't seem to want to hustle any and make things right. As I mentioned, they haven't even called despite my complaints. So here's my warning; the process may be fast, easy, and they will communicate non stop until you buy a vehicle, but once they have payment you will not be communicated well with, they will take weeks to repair a vehicle they damage, and they'll have no more (insert plural choice word) to give about you as a client. Also their finance interest rates are absurd and you should look elsewhere for lending.

They didn't have a very large inventory me and my husband were slightly disappointed because we came in today in search of a car had the cash in hand that we needed to put as a down payment and every single car that they did have in the lot was either already sold or pending and there was only less than a handful of cars that weren't pending or sold that were available and they were none of the cars that we wanted and then when we finally found one car that we were interested in the end cause the car was all scuffed up and dirty in the inside even though they said they had just cleaned it and when we asked well can you guys re-clean it if we purchase it because there was still crumbs on the floor and some stains in the cupholder as if juice was spilled and the salesman said no there was nothing they can do because they already cleaned it and it is a as his card so I was slightly disappointed in that hopefully next time if we do choose going with them again they have better inventory

We ended up with a newer, better car than we thought we could afford (2010 Kia Soul) which we love!

First, this review is an HONEST ACCOUNT of my experience with this company and my knowledge of the…read morebusiness from the point of view of the buyer. MY OPINION IS NOT FOR SALE. As I was reading these bad reviews, it was truly frustrating. So many of the problems people have written about were THEIR OWN mistakes. 1. When looking at online pricing, read EVERYTHING written on the website and in the terms of service that might impact the price. If they say the price may change if you don't finance with them, then expect a higher price. 2. Tell them before you buy that you want to take it to YOUR mechanic to look over. That is standard in the used auto business. If they say no, leave. 3. Warranties are only as good as the people offering them. I never buy a warranty. A car purchase is a major investment. Why wouldn't you do a Carfax to see how many people have owned the car or if it's been in an accident? Why wouldn't you, if at all possible, not contact the previous owner? Sometimes that is not an option, but sometimes it is. 4. Establish your budget before you go and hold to it no matter what a dealership person says. If they talk you into something you end up regretting, that is your own dang fault. 5. Most of all, NEVER fall in love with a vehicle. You ALWAYS have to be willing to walk off the lot. Negotiate the price you want, give them your budget, and if they cannot meet it, then leave. 6. The responsibility to get the deal you want is SQUARELY ON YOUR SHOULDERS. If you go to buy a vehicle and you are unprepared, then you must take responsibility for your mistakes. 7. NEVER spend hours at a car dealership sitting in a lobby or waiting on some manager. YOU are the buyer. If you don't get immediate help at every stage of this experience, tell them you are taking your money somewhere else. Remember, ALL car dealerships, whether used or new, are going to try to get as much money out of you as they can. In our 35+ year marriage (at the time), my spouse and I had never had a credit card or bought anything on credit except our home. It wasn't that we had a bad credit score, we pretty much had NO credit score. These people took a chance on us and gave us a good deal on a great car, and financed it. That was about 10 years ago. It is a beautiful vehicle. I still own it and it has run beautifully ever since. I did all of the things I mentioned above and got a good deal. Our credit score is now more than 800 and we have been able to buy our forever dream home. We could have never achieved that if this dealership had not taken a chance on a couple who previously did not believe in financing things. We had always paid cash for our cars, but this was a car I wanted that was a little out of our cash price range but still fit our overall budget. Of course, there was a short battle of give and take as to be expected; I don't think they were expecting a disabled old grandmother being as tough on them in negotiations as they were on me, but we quickly fell into a comfortable relationship of mutual respect. I would buy from them again in a heartbeat. HOWEVER, I would NEVER expect them to give me anything. Any advantages or deals I want I WILL HAVE TO TAKE, and that happens by 1. being prepared, 2. doing my due diligence,, 3. having my own mechanic do a thorough check of the vehicle, and 4. sticking to my budget no matter what anyone there says. Oh, and NEVER discuss your credit score or give them ANY financial information other than your budget until you are at the point of sale. Your credit score, your salary and your financial information IS NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS until you are at the point of sale. ONLY THEN do you provide them with only what they need to complete the sale. And, NEVER provide financial info if you are paying cash. Most of all: you MUST be willing to walk away. THAT IS THE FOUNDATION ON WHICH YOUR EXPERIENCE IS BASED. Always Always ALWAYS be ready and willing to walk away.

I've had my Audi q8 for 4 months and since I've talked to Audi while my car is in their shop. This…read moredealership sold me a lemon the techs at Audi told me this car has had piston issues since 40k/50k miles and when they sold it to me it had 75k. Now I'm being told the whole engine has to be replaced and it's $37,000. That's more than I paid for the car. Lol. Don't buy your cars from here. They're gonna sh!t the bed in a few months. Also when i bought the car they cleared the code for the tire pressure sensor cause it kept igniting rather than fixing the problem they just cleared codes to save themselves. I'm now out over $10k I put down on the car just to have it take a shit on me 4 months into owning it. My advice? Look elsewhere
