I am still struggling with the fact that my husband bought a very lightly used car from here and…read morebefore a full year was even passed starting experiencing a transmission issue. If we parked in a parking spot that caused the vehicle to set even slightly angled in any direction other than perfectly flat by the time we got back in to go to the next destination, as soon as the vehicle was started there would be a transmission warning light come on... I'm pretty good with vehicle maintenance due to being raised up with 3 brothers, if the warning light would've been the only thing that happened I would've figured it was either a fuse or something like that but we would also expect the transmission not even close close to shifting out of second gear until letting it coast for a few minutes and then everything was ok again. The reason behind the entire 3 review is because I am a person who prefers the truth over a story, and after scheduling an appointment with them to check out the vehicle, and then driving from Huntsville to Columbia my husband was told by the mechanic that he most likely wouldn't find anything wrong with it because of the fact that it only happened periodically. First off I'm not a mechanic and I know that common sense tells me if a customer told me that the problem they were having repeatedly and only when the vehicle was parked in a place where it was at a angle and not on flat ground I would have told then the first thing I was going to do is find an area in the parking lot right away and take the vehicle to that spot and park it while I finished working on another vehicle and then I'd go get their vehicle and see what happened. Ending this review by saying that I find it absolutely shocking how before taking the vehicle in to get checked out, every single time the vehicle was parked on even the slightest slant the transmission issue occurred... when we were called to come back and pick up the vehicle we were told that they couldn't find anything wrong...mysteriously we've not had an issue since. Seems like a bit of a magical experience or like the mechanic wasn't truthful in the findings. Either way it's now working properly so that's what matters.

I rarely put reviews but they are sadly worth me putting one. We had them change the timing belt…read moreand it was done improperly and caused issues. Took us a few calls and visits to finally find the issue and admit that it was their fault for not putting it in properly. Now we are having catalytic converter issues and to no ones surprise, they are denying responsibility in this. On top of that, consider yourself lucky if they get you a loaner vehicle since they keep your car a long time. Say a little prayer for us that they fix our issues. I'm excited what our next issues will be after this one. What an adventure. I also want to say that sales people have been way more helpful and kind than most of the service crew. Forewarning.

Found it a little difficult using google to locate Ford of Columbia using Google because it either…read moreused Hyundai or Columbia in Connecticut, but after my PC browser and phone figured out my location, then no issues. For many years I had a Ford Dealership that we frequented in California, always great service there, I was hoping for the same thing here. Right away when I walked into the Service Dept, Christian greeted me, got my vehicle information, I requested the Works, Christian lead me to the customer lounge, said he would come out to let me know when my car was ready. It was comfortable in the lounge with a big screen TV, plenty of coffee using a Kreuger and the best coffee pods. Christian got back with me in 45 minutes and got me in my vehicle, great customer service. Prices are different compared to California, I was paying $70 with a tire rotation, here paid $121. What I didn't like was that it is very dangerous trying to leave the parking lot, Hwy 31 is busy, when I was leaving a car was also leaving and turning left which to me is crazy, I was turning right, I guess the idea is to wait till it is completely clear like if any car coming from the left is at least a quarter mile down, plus you can't trust the right lane because if you think the right number 2 lane will be clear and there is another car that is on the left number 1 lane is traveling, that car will merge to the number 2 lane in that intersection and if you decide to go right at the same time, bam, you got an accident, I seen that occuring when I was waiting. In California, it is illegal to merge to another lane at an intersection, not sure if it's the same here in Tennessee, maybe Ford and Hyundai should invest in a signal, but that's going all along this stretch of Hwy 31. But either way, the service was excellent.

The service and the staff of Ford of Columbia are very very good. I have absolutely no complaints…read morethere. But the last time I had my car in the shop I received a text message with the service that was provided and at the bottom it had in red, "critical attention" needed to be done. Of course that concerned me, I immediately said I agree because I was getting on the road in a week.. I agreed to have the service done right then even though I really didn't understand what was the problem . I really wish that somebody could have come into the waiting room and explained what the problem was. Well, there wasn't a critical problem. Everything was based on my mileage and really didn't need to be done at that time. The car was serviced the month before. But that was $275 unexpectedly that I spent. I know it was my decision, but when it is advised in Red, I panicked. I certainly would've had the work done, but not at that time. Thank you.
