Ugggh....want a quick coffee? Don't bother coming here then. Very busy, lots of staff, and all menu items as they normally are at any Carluccio's. The problem is that the strategy for actually serving people is a bit wayward. On my last visit, I was asked to see myself to a table. Absolutely fine so far.
After about ten minutes, someone came to the table and assured me my coffee was on the way. This in itself was interesting, as no-one had taken my order. Having ordered black coffee, toast, and iced water, what I eventually got was two glasses of water( one tepid tap, one as ordered), coffee ( but why bring milk with black coffee?), and slightly burnt panetone. Ok. Now it's time to pay. Another ten minutes to get someone's attention, and 15 before someone actually comes to pick up the tray with the cash on. Jeeps. read more
