They helped me transition from needing a knee scooter to using a boot and eventually to a shoe. They helped me regain range of motion in my foot, toes, and ankle. Every single one of the staff was extremely kind, responsive, and helpful. They work together as a team to make sure each patient gets the individual attention he/she needs. Since this is close to my home I decided to give it a try. In the past I had used a larger PT practice in Middletown. On the first day I contacted Symmetry they had a cancellation and I got right in. The owner, Keith, is the physical therapist. I have had a good experience so far. I am on week 3 of a 4 week rehab schedule. Keith has been helpful and informative in the process. He has recommended exercises, stretched my hip and provided soft tissue massage at the incision site to help with my scar and healing. Symmetry PT is a nice addition to Portland and I would highly recommend it.

In a couple months I would be coaching a high school baseball team. I needed to be able to pitch batting practice and I was in no condition to do so. I had heard good things about Symmetry Physical Therapy (SPT) in Portland, so I gave them a call. Keith suggested that I come in for an evaluation. Kelly quickly diagnosed a shoulder impingement and started me on a process to resolve the problem. Across a two-month period of about 15 appointments as we worked through a series of varied exercises well-designed to get me back on the mound my shoulder pain gradually subsided. By the time April arrived I was back on the mound throwing several hundred batting practice pitches each week with no shoulder pain. Although not a big office, SPT has all the necessary equipment, and the Physical Therapists have advanced degrees and diverse experience. And you can expect to get their dedicated attention, support and encouragement during your appointment. I should also mention the process of scheduling appointments is easy/flexible and insurance/billing issues are handled professionally and without any hassles. Overall, my experience at SPT was pleasant (although I did manage to finish last in the SPT March Madness pool) and, most importantly, my medical issue was resolved. With all that SPT has to offer there may be no reason to cross the bridge for your physical therapy needs.

I'm extremely impressed with the professionalism of the Vernon location staff. From Aggie, Kristen, and Maureen at the front desk, assistants Tim, Tyler, and Justine, and the physical therapists. I have only directly worked with Rory, with some time with Denise, but you can see how all the PTs treat their patients. All patients are treated with respect in a very friendly, open atmosphere. Personally, I'm thrilled with the effectiveness of my therapy and the responsiveness of my therapist, Rory. I'm supported, encouraged, listened to, and most importantly, I'm healing! The facilities are modern, clean, and well maintained. There is ample parking in a safe location. Having Rein's Deli and a Chinese restaurant right there, as well as a used book store, a consignment shop and a several other shops in the plaza is a plus if you're well enough.
