Richard is an amazing physical therapist and is kind, patient, and knowledgeable and checks in with me each session to thoughtfully understand progress and any changes he should make to the plan. He combines various methods to give my injury/body what will help the most and helps me understand the what and why. I came to Richard after a very painful backpacking trip where I injured both ankles (Oh, how the swelling made my ankles disappear!) and had low back pain that was making it hard to walk comfortably. I knew I needed help healing, but I didn't understand what a very skilled and 'big picture/whole picture thinking' physical therapist could do. After just a month, I've been blown away at the results and process - he actually gave me hope that the pain I'd been dealing with would eventually be gone and I'd be even healthier and stronger than before! While I was convinced quickly to work with him I did want to understand my options before choosing a therapist so at the end of my first session, he told me listen, if you do decide to go somewhere else for PT and all they do is tell you to stretch your calves to heal the ankle, you should leave/don't go back to them. It is like he predicted the future, I went to [insert PT company name here] and all they told me was to stretch each calf for 2 minutes a day and come back in a week...I was already sold but just had to laugh at how clearly Richard's years of experience came through.

They are attentive and intuitive in diagnosis and treatment, and have done a great job not only treating the injured muscles and ligaments directly, but isolating and treating instability at the ankle which had caused the injury in the first place. They have also been very conscientious about maintaining a COVID-safe environment, making sure masks are worn and surfaces promptly disinfected.

I'm extremely impressed with the professionalism of the Vernon location staff. From Aggie, Kristen, and Maureen at the front desk, assistants Tim, Tyler, and Justine, and the physical therapists. Last year I went to a different group where I rarely had the same therapist. I was in a large room with no privacy and often left without guidance or attention. This does not happen with Dominic. Because of insurance I had not seen him for many years. It got to the point where I didn't care if I had to pay out of pocket so I returned to the group and Physical Therapist who had helped me after several surgeries. At this place you get care from the same person each time so you don't have to explain what is going on with a new person all the time. There are public and private rooms which makes the experience more comfortable. Dominic knows what he is doing. I don't feel like he is giving me a cookie cutter plan. He really listens. He has been able to help me figure out where some really awful pain was originating from and addressing it properly. He watches and is attentive for each session as opposed to other places where a therapist had more than one patient at a time and often didn't remember what you were supposed to be there for. I am so lucky to be back in his care. My pain level has significantly decreased and I am able to increase and resume activities I thought might be lost to me forever. I am also grateful that they are now taking my insurance plan. I don't worry that I may actually get injured by my physical therapy as had happened several times in the past with other places. It is so nice to trust the person you are working with. This is the first time in many years that I have hope for leading a less painful life and resuming things that broke my heart to give up. If you are looking for a great physical therapist and place I recommend it highly.

I went in with upper back pain hoping for some relief, but instead they simply did a couple scans and x-rays and then sent me on my way. When I came back 4 days later, they showed me the results and asked me to sign up for 24 sessions. When I indicated a desire to simply address my current pain, which is neither serious nor long-standing in nature, they explained very nicely that they can't accommodate that sort of basic adjustment. So despite two visits, I received no therapeutic help. Prospective customers may love their business model, but it should be clear in advance to patients that you will not be adjusted on a first visit and perhaps not even on a second visit unless you agree to a long-range plan. Having said that, they seem like nice guys and if you're looking for multiple visits a week over the course of many months, this could be perfect for you.
