This review is for the Wednesday sleep center/waiting room. At this location there is also a…read moredrawing station, a physical therapist, and possibly a family physician but we have never used any of those services at this location. This location is in a shopping plaza so tons of parking! Upon entering the front entrance we were greeted almost immediately by a nurse at the front desk. She asked if we were there for the sleep studies and pointed to a small waiting room off the main waiting room and told me to wait there and a girl would be out soon to help me. The entire waiting room area was bright and clean with lively music playing. There were 2 or 3 end tables with tissues and fake flowers which I thought was nice. At the far end of the waiting room was a special little room especially for my children. In this room was a book rack, Lego table, trucks, and puzzles. I was able to stand in the sleep study waiting area and watch them through the glass of the children's room. I appreciate whenever a doctor's office takes their younger patients into consideration, for a 3 and 7 year old, waiting is sooo hard. A young nurse popped into the waiting room, asked for my papers, and went to enter my daughter into the system. She popped back out once with a quick question about my insurance and was a pleasure to deal with. At that time I went into the children's area, helped my girls clean up, and let them each select a book to read while we finished waiting. The girls had time to read through their books (probably 4-5 minutes) and we were called in to see the doctor. Dr. O'brian (sp?) has a very gentle personality and he quickly put my 7 year old daughter to ease. I appreciated that he talked to her and asked her the questions, instead of addressing me. I did get my chance to weigh in on the answers if I felt she hadn't accurately answered one but it was her appointment and her answers were valued. Everything was fully explained to my daughter and by the end of the appointment she was actually smiling and looking forward to having a sleep study done if our insurance gives it the OK. I'm giving 5 stars for this appointment. This doctor is fantastic with children and it was a great blessing. I will update my review if and when she has the sleep study.

I am very appreciative of my time at Amity in Wallingford. Being able to work with Warren and DJ…read morefor a quick but effective 6 week period, really got me back to where I wanted to be. It’s tough with the uncertainty of injuries and not knowing truly how the recovery process will go. The team at Amity had a strong plan and we worked weekly, to get my strength and mobility back to pre-surgery status. The character and fellowship of the people in the clinic is second to none, and it actually made me a little upset knowing I was done with PT and going back home. I’m extremely grateful for my time at Amity and I would recommend it to anyone interested.

Earlier this year, I was diagnosed with lumbar spinal stenosis by my primary care physician. The…read morerecurring symptoms of pain in my lumbar region and numbness and tingling in my left leg made extended standing and walking difficult for me at times. As a result, my doctor prescribed 12 weeks of physical therapy for me. After being dissatisfied with the therapy services I was receiving from my initial physical therapy provider, I decided to check out other physical therapists in my area. A family friend said she had heard good things about the Amity Physical Therapy Office that had recently opened in Wallingford, and recommended that I check them out. That was all I needed to hear. The next day I booked my first physical therapy appointment with them. While the Wallingford facility itself is bright and squeaky clean with a very contemporary vibe, the thing that really impressed me was the staff. They were much more friendly and welcoming than the first place I had gone to. Warren and DJ set the tone with a very professional and personable approach to their patients. It was clear to me that the truly care about delivering quality physical therapy services to their patients. After working with Warren and DJ and their staff for twelve weeks, the strengthening and stretching program they designed for me accomplished all the objectives I was hoping for. My lumbar pain is gone and the numbness and tingling in my left leg has greatly subsided. As a result, my walking and standing stamina has increased. Even my wife notices that I am moving better now than before I began going to Amity Physical Therapy. My thanks go out to Warren and DJ and the entire team at Amity Physical Therapy of Wallingford for all their efforts on my behalf. Based on my experience with them, I would highly recommend Amity Physical Therapy of Wallingford for anyone in need of physical therapy services.
