I wasn't just looking for a place to train--I was looking for great people, strong leadership, and a positive culture. This gym checks every box. As a woman in this sport, finding a safe and respectful environment can be challenging. Unfortunately, higher-belt females are sometimes treated like "test dummies," and people roll too aggressively. That is NOT the case here. The teammates I've trained with are technical, controlled, and respectful. They know how to train hard without hurting you, and that says everything about the culture. My husband was a Marine. After several months I realized I was being over charged and I spoke to the owner. No one ever got back to me. Then I spoke with a manager. He said he would refund me two months but only refunded me 60% of two months instead. I still don't have all my over payment back. I was owed almost $300 and I got back $100. I'm very disappointed in the service and I have since pulled by daughter out of classes. Matt is fantastic and I hope for his sake others don't experience this same problem. I feel like I was totally taken advantage of.
