I came to watch my friend's son have a belt grading on a Saturday and I was amazed at how many kids…read more(and a few adult students) were at the event. The kids were all very well behaved and seemed as though they really enjoyed the event. I have not been to a normal class but it seems the instructors all know the children by their names and are all very nice! When I was a child, I also went to similar martial arts courses but they were not as large and as fun as the class that Cho was giving. I envied the small children having so much fun with each other and with the instructors. I believe this would be a great place for your little ones (or yourself) to come take courses. The venue is quite large in which there are 3 rooms with various equipment. They have mirrors in one room which I assume the children use to watch themselves while they are learning moves. The lounge area has a few couches where the parents and visitors can have a seat and watch the students. They even have three stalls where you can change. I was quite impressed by the one visit. Check it out if you or your child is interested in learning martial arts with some fun instructors.

Horrible experience at this facility. I'd give this rating ZERO stars if it was an option. The…read moreabsolute only thing good about this facility is the owner Mr. Cho. Mr. Cho is an honest, kind man and it's easy to see that he truly cares about the students. However Mr. Cho can't be everywhere at once. My kids were in the before & after school program and the lady who is responsible for that side of the business is horrible !!! Her name is Ms. Key and she is the one who would get the kids late to school, she's not patient and understanding that kids are kids. She would get my son to text me or my wife to see where we were at almost everyday when we were on the way to pick up our kids. We were never late picking up our kids so I have no clue why she would do that. The facility closes At 8:00 the childcare side closes at 6:30 we were alway there between 6:20-6:30 Never late ! The funny thing is when your child gets hurt by accident or another kid she nor her staff calls the parents it seems like they try to cover it up first. This lady also is a very big liar. She has to talk to all the parents everyday to tell them how bad their kids were. And if the kids weren't bad she'll make small stuff up. She'll continue to lie until she gets caught up in it and you confront her about it. Her assistant named Emily calls kids "little shits" and none of this is made up Ms. Key told us herself that Emily said that. After hearing bad reports everyday we got tired of it and just took our kids back to the daycare that they were at before joining taekwondo.

I was shocked at how the kids were being heavily & loudly screamed at. They were being reprimanded for ripping posters off walls and threatened with losing bathroom privileges. It was followed by a younger adult screaming at the entire group of students at the top of her lungs military style. It was so jarring that my two kids were terrified. She screamed like a drill sergeant things like, "you sit up straight when people are talking to you, especially when an adult is speaking to you." It was like an episode of scared straight and they were felons. I told them I wanted to hear what was happening and that I didn't like what was going on there and if this was normal. The woman said, "yes, it's summer camp." So I said okay I'm not interested in signing them up and walked out. If your kids use this camp, please beware!!!!

We need it down to two, but ultimately Ultimate Warrior because I came highly recommended by a trusted friend, and I agreed with the methodology of its owner Jake And his staff. They are firm and nurturing, disciplined, yet still fun. Other successful places in the area wasn't a great fit as they felt more industrial and performed for appearances than what I had in mind. I ultimately chose ultimate warrior for my son, because he has fun while learning to protect himself at a very natural pace. Further, because my son is clumsy... They also work on "how to" fall effectively. After just one of these classes, my son was riding horse riding and was bucked off the rear from about 6 foot off the ground. As he fell, he automatically went into a forward fall position and saved his face and glasses from hitting the ground. Needless to say, after seeing this, I am sold that the methods taught here are effective and strategies used for learning these skills are something that kids can relate to easily. An added bonus is that Jake must have a radar that draws in good people. All the parents I've met here have been really kind and so are the students and coaches.

Additionally, the coaches are highly skilled and experienced martial artists themselves. They run tough classes, at a pace that challenges the class without discouraging them. There's a real finesse to that, and the coaches at UW are impressively good at it. Belt test days (and the following potlucks) are a real opportunity to see the incredible work these coaches do with students of all ages and abilities. The potlucks and social events really show that UW wants to be part of our local community. From potlucks to parents nights out to holiday parties ... they always try to find time for fun, not only to reward their hard-working students, but to build bonds among them as well. We plan to stay at Ultimate Warrior as long as they'll have us! It's been a perfect match for our family. Inger Chandler

My wife was very uneasy around guns, by the end of the class she shot 50 rounds of a 45ACP and was hitting the target every time. Within 20 minutes my wife had a smile on her face and was hitting the target and knows how to shoot correctly. The next weekend we took the CHL class at MAW and will be going back shooting at the range with Chester and others. They also have a women's shooting club that my wife is going to join.
