From the moment I walked through the doors of this renowned MMA haven, I was welcomed with open hands by an atmosphere pulsating with dedication, discipline, and passion. This place wasn't just a gym; it was a sanctuary where individuals from all walks of life converged to learn, grow, and embrace the art of combat sports. The first thing that struck me was the caliber of trainers and fighters at 4 oz fight club. These were not just instructors; they were seasoned warriors, masters of their craft, whose commitment to excellence was palpable in every session. Their expertise wasn't solely about physical techniques; it was about nurturing a mindset--an unwavering determination to push boundaries and conquer personal limitations. Even if your goal isn't to do Mixed Martial Arts if you just want to focus on one whether you want to do Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with No Gi, Wrestling, Muay Thai or Boxing. There are elite level trainers in them all. Daniel Pineda who is a UFC veteran and a world ranked fighter is one of the best fighters in the world is the coach for Jiu Jitsu. Tons of talent at the gym as well there are many amateurs and pros always fighting if you are interested and have a goal of learning as much as you can about MMA this is the perfect place. I have only been training for a few months and have gained a ton of knowledge here and I feel like I am only getting started. If you go in there with the right attitude just ready to work hard and absorb the knowledge you can be a sponge it can be the best experience ever. Chico who is the Muay Thai Coach also when he was in his prime was one of the best in the world this was before UFC he was in Strikeforce. Honestly if your goal is to compete in MMA and you are looking for a gym I would say 4 oz Fight Club is the best option. I have been to other small gyms that charge you way more and are nowhere near as good an option as 4 oz fight club whether we are talking about the students or the trainers. This is the best MMA gym in Houston forsure. My experience at 4 oz fight club although is still getting started and I still have a lot of work and training to do has been as good as it can be.

This place, it's instructors AND the owner are all wonderful people. There have been a number of improvements to the dojo and wonderful additions to the staff. Coach Troy, Coach Charles, Master Moore and Coach Khan have been excellent teachers and role models for the children. They've recently updated their curriculum and Master Moore has brought a high degree of discipline and expert instruction to PMA. Coach Khan is a very caring and involved owner, he listens and truly cares about the children and the families. Coach Khan has amazing vision and kindness. He is always striving to improve his studio. Everyone on this staff is personable, kind, patient and effective. Our son has grown into a more disciplined, independent and persistent young man. We've found this particularly helpful as this has been the ONLY activity that he has remained with this long. He is going into his third year with PMA. Our son has high functioning autism and ADHD and one of the BEST things we found for him was PMA! We've seen a distinct increase in his confidence, attention span, self-regulation and his willingness to help others. This has been a wonderful social outlet for him as well. We highly recommend PMA to any and ALL families who are looking for a physical outlet with role models who will also teach life skills, discipline and resilience.

It is a beautiful facility, they're still doing upgrades here & there, but my favorite little fact about it is that the dumbbell rack in the back goes all the way up to 150lbs!! They offer a great selection of youth classes with a mix of high level men & women instructors. The team, THE TEAM!!
