PrIor to beginning work he helped to plan the project, suggested materials, vendors and helped defined our scope. Don began the project promptly and dealt with all issues keeping us on schedule through vendor issues and various unanticipated problems. Flooring for entire house was replaced, kitchen gutted and completely remodeled and all three bathrooms had new fans and cabinets installed. As with any large project unexpected issues came up(discovered areas of dry rot) and Don was flexible in working these repairs into the plan. Don is very detailed in his work and everything was done, in my option, to perfection. I can't really say enough as to how much we appreciate the quality of Don's work. He is simply the best contractor you could ever work with and we give him the highest recommendation.

I especially want to give a shout out to Tanner, who was incredibly polite, respectful, and great about keeping things clean. He was one of, if not the nicest person we worked with throughout the entire project. Having someone who was pleasant, considerate, and took pride in keeping the work area clean made a stressful situation a little easier. The absolute highlight of the renovation was our bathroom! We are so happy with how it turned out. Everyone who sees it asks us who did the work and where we got the bathtub. It really came out beautiful, and it's definitely our favorite part of the renovation. I also want to give a special shout-out to Harley. He was always good about returning our calls, answering our many questions and concerns, and keeping us informed about changes and delays. There were quite a few changes and delays throughout the project, which can be frustrating during a renovation, but we appreciated having someone who would communicate with us and provide information when things changed. A renovation after a water leak is never something you want to have to go through, but we are very pleased with the final result. Thank you to the Mark Scott Construction team, especially Tanner and Harley, for helping us get our apartment back together and giving us a bathroom that we absolutely love!

They helped us with what we envisioned and were willing to give honest feedback on our selections and how they would work. Such nice and sincere people. Work: it took a little over two weeks and they were amazing with working with my nightshift schedule. Extremely professional, hardworking, and CLEAN. I never noticed they had even been through the house when they were done which I really appreciated. When it was all said and done I was blown away by how AMAZING the bathroom turned out. They completely ripped all of the old bathroom out and worked their magic. The tile work was so impressive. You can tell he pays attention to detail and is EXTREMELY SKILLED at what he does. I am beyond impressed and can't say enough nice things about this company. I can't wait to work with them on additional projects. Knowing that I am able to contact them for projects has seriously put my mind at ease that I never have to contact another company for a quote. Thank you!!

To give you some background, we had a water leak that destroyed our wooden floor and caused mold under the kitchen cabinets and the walls. It was a nightmare. Working with contractor companies wasn't really working out either because they just wanted to maximize their profits. My last resort was to find a good handyman and boy is "good" an understatement. Ciomara and Carlos were very empathetic, diligent, and hardworking throughout the process. They fixed our floor, our walls, and our cabinets. We were so happy with their work that we got some other stuff done along the way too. They gave us a very reasonable price and gave us good recommendations to save money (though they could have made easy money off of us). Again, I'm feel lucky to have found them.

Everyone who was sent out was very friendly and respectful, also leaving my place clean when they left for the day. I would receive almost daily logs of who was here from what time to what time, reports of progress including photos and estimations of percentage of each piece that was left to do, and how close we were to the projected estimate. Everything turned out beautiful and works perfectly for what I wanted to use it for. I will definitely be calling them in the future with any and all construction needs. Thanks Good Guys!!

I hired Mark for a medium-sized remodeling project (about 6 weeks) . He provided a low estimate…read morecompared to other bids. He then said that his workers were all covered by Worker's Comp, among other benefits, and that he paid a fair wage, and that he was the most ethical contractor in the industry, resulting in his workers' being highly productive and efficient leading to shorter project times. This sealed the deal for me. Furthermore, he claimed that the extra 30% or so that he was billing for his workers, was due of the worker's comp insurance, which only he provided to his workers (as opposed to the many unscrupulous other contractors that were around). As a property owner, you could be held liable for workers' injuries if the contractor did not carry worker's comp, and so, I agreed to Mark's deal. Within a few days, Mark had exceeded the estimate he had quoted, and was very difficult to get hold of. Furthermore, his workers would come and go at all times of the day (between 7:00 am and 8:00 pm) and I simply lost track of how many "cooks" were in the kitchen. As of last count, I noticed some 15+ names on the invoices, and some would appear for a couple of hours, and then disappear. But Mark would send me invoices claiming that his workers spent the entire day at the property - which was simply untrue. Mark would not be interested in even listening to me or investigating my grievances. Instead, he would brag that he did me a big favor by accepting my project, and that he typically only did multi-million dollar gigs, and not pittances like mine. Long story short, the project budget exceeded the estimate by more than 100%. Mark became extremely aggressive and feisty, and it was impossible to work or reason with him. I hired a Private Investigator to find out who this person really was -- like a Dr. Jekyl Mr. Hyde. Turns out that he had been sued for fraud, but more importantly, the whole worker's comp, fairness, ethical contractor, and so on, charade, was ALL ONE BIG LIE. It also appears that Mark may have left the Better Business Bureau due to bad reviews and that he may have hired a reputation defending company to increase his Yelp reviews to 5 stars by questionable tactics. Good Guy Builders license has been suspended for Worker's Comp violations and is under investigation. After my PI reported this, I found on the CSLB site: "License is under suspension for failure to comply with Workers Comp. A workers´ compensation certificate or exemption statement may have been received by the Board but not yet processed. Once the certificate or exemption statement is processed the suspension will be lifted retroactively to the effective date of the certificate or exemption statement. Ask the contractor for proof of worker's compensation and contact the insurance company to verify coverage." Here is the URL: https://www.cslb.ca.gov/OnlineServices/CheckLicenseII/LicenseDetail.aspx?LicNum=1016932 Please see image below. This is one of the greatest betrayals where I was charged an arm and a leg, and told a romantic story of workers being taken good care of, and so on, all the while, when Mark was simply pocketing the money that was supposed to cover his workers' safety and well being. Such greed, deception, and dishonesty, in my opinion, does not deserve a second chance. You decide whether you want to hire this company and deal with Mark. --- Addendum to Mr. Santosh R's note: 1. I am a real person. I was threatened by Mark that I would be sued if I posted anything negative on Yelp. 2. Yes, I did edit my posts before finally settling on one. Anyone in my position would do the same. 3. Finally, the facts remain unchanged. Good Guy Builder's license is under suspension and this may be independently verified on the CSLB website (see link). Likewise, the lawsuits against them may be independently verified. People like Santosh and Mark are the real culprits who boost their yelp ratings in a manner that skews it in their favor - by attacking anyone who posts negative reviews, and threatening those in dispute with defamation lawsuits. Do not believe anything Santosh or Mark say. The suspension is more than ample evidence that Good Guy Builders is a crooked business and not one that you should be patronizing.

Each time Moises and his crew come through in spades. Just some general positives: easy to work with, responsive, efficient, respectful and lots of value. In particular our kitchen remodel turned out super good. For example, Miguel who did our quartz work is a star. We had some intricate cuts and detailed designs that turned out fantastic. He did a stellar job on our fireplace surround as well. We had extra quartz and he was able to replace our old dated tile. I'm not sure if pictures do his work justice but it turned out better than I imagined. Moises is very easy to work with. We got a lot of value for the work his company did. We definitely got our money's worth. For example, we had some on the fly changes as homeowner's often do and he was very accommodating. He is always quick to answer any of our questions as well. Just a few notes when working with any contractor which applies to TTS. Always watch their work and voice any of your concerns. Like our faucet wasn't fitting right so Moises made sure the work was perfect. Also, communicate with them about their work schedule. Make sure you know when they are coming to prevent surprises. TTS is very much on schedule and make the most of their days. No time wasted. We will be using them in the future for other projects!

We LOVE our shower remodels by Tiger Tile!…read more We were in dire need of replacing the builder grade standard fiberglass tub/shower enclosure and fiberglass shower pan in our bathrooms. After getting three estimates we settled with Tiger Tile. Response time for making an appointment with them for an estimate was quick. The owner, Moises, met with us and we told him what WE wanted to have done. He made some suggestions which we took into consideration. They were the most competitive and thankfully, their schedule was open to work on our showers in a couple of weeks. We reviewed and signed the contract for both our shower remodels. When the time came, they began working first on the main/hallway shower. The master shower was done about a week later. His crew arrived promptly and sometimes as early as 7am! There will never be a day they don't come to work on the project unless it is a day to wait for the waterproofing to dry. They protected our floors from foot traffic prior to demo and cleaned up when the day ended. The master shower had a few snafus along the way, but we were able to work those problems. A pony wall was installed as well as a small window on top of one of the shower walls. The window made a big difference in natural lighting! The master shower took about 10 days to complete (without glass enclosure). The glass enclosure on the master shower was done by a different vendor. Tiger Tile has a company they use, but you are welcome to get estimates from other glass vendors. The crew that did the work, and Yaqueline at the office was very pleasant to work with. If we had any questions or concerns, we were able to get answers right away. Both showers were completed last July 2022 in a little over two weeks. I highly recommend Tiger Tile for all your bathroom remodeling projects; they are great to work with. We are a very happy customer!
