It's a decent place to stop and order some food on the way to and from Arizona. The service moves fast, the food isn't anything special, we usually order the chicken sandwich combo's, it's a little overpriced for fast food, but that's everywhere. We always stop in here because there is a Tesla charging station conveniently located in the parking lot, so we can eat while charging the car. And there are gem and rock businesses within walking distance to check out, that's why I am giving 3 stars for this. The dining area should be cleaned more often, every table we tried sitting at was dirty and sticky, and the women's bathroom seems to only have one working toilet, the other is always clogged with what seems to be lots of paper. read more

Look, "we" know, I stay away from the drive throughs and the fast foods as best I can.... I was on the road and was starved... Carl's Jr was visible and accessible from the freeway and I went for it. I did not go in. The lady at the speaker box had a kindness in her voice and sounded sincerely patient as I scoured the menu for what I could potentially eat. I shamelessly visited a different location locally, that trip certainly informed me of what NOT to get... and so, I had a 3 pack of tenders, with waffle fries and a Dr. Pepper. The lady who took my payment was very obviously a different woman, with a different demeanor but she explained my tenders just went into the fryer and would take a bit. Not a problem at all. When the lady who took my order brought my food out she made certain to warn me not to burn my face off. Thank you. Were they the best tenders I have ever had? Not at all, but I don't know the last time I consumed chicken, let alone tenders. The buffalo sauce? Meh, if I head by again, I'll pick a different sauce. It fed me, I didn't feel sick. I received my order and hopped in my Tesla and started to drive to Buckeye Arizona. On my way home. I was going to eat one burger because it's a long drive home. We've been coming here for three years, while stopping for an EV charge nextdoor. It is an Easy Off/Easy On from the I-10 Freeway. There are other food options nearby, but this is by far the easiest and nearest to the chargers. The food is typical Carl Juniors and the folks behind the counter might be the nicest I've seen in a fast food place, but.... You knew there was a but coming... The franchisee really needs to get their act together. The restrooms are broken down. Clean, but some are out of order and have been for a very longtime. VERY long time! Great service. Waiting for food, they were super fast, courtesy, very patient with all sorts of customers walking in. Everyone brings in their emotional baggage with them but we I up with all of that with a smile (I know everyone does that) big in fast food chains like these in the middle of nowhere adds up more sensitivities I feel, your travel fatigue and tired kids etc. I absolutely appreciate and send my gratitude to all the ones working behind the registers and behind the scenes for putting up with us. Carl's everywhere are pretty much the same food wise so my review is something based on customer service. Sadly I did not get the lady's name that helped us today around 11:30 but she was working the front counter and took our order. Very busy time for them and she was handling everything with a pleasant smile and demeanor. I know it's just fast food but no matter the job, it should be done well and she was the star there today. First off, the order taker did not say anything. No greeting. We had to pry that out of her. Burgers not hot. When our food was delivered I asked for ketchup. She quickly said it was up front. I said there was not any. She ran off. When my wife went to check-yep no ketchup. She had to get it from an order taker. Why not keep some in your pocket? The men's room was the pits. Messy floors. We stay in Quartzsite every winter. We just arrived for our annual stay and stopped at Carls. It is our go-to fast foid in Quartzsite. We have found the stff to be fast and friendly. Our orders have alwsys been correct and a few times they've thrown in something extra. Not by accident, they tell us. read more

This is a decent Carl's Jr. Staff are friendly enough. Food was hot and fresh. Our order was ready in a timely manner. Seeing as it was 111F, it was nice to get a cool, refreshing beverage with lots of ice. The dining room is open again for sit-down dining. It's kept cool with A/C. Restrooms were in not the best, but serviceable condition and clean enough. Be advised: Carl's Jr. is going through a "ranch dressing shortage"-- I'm not even joking. I was supplied some with my fried zucchini but they wouldn't give my mom any for the chicken tenders she ordered. Go figure. The most prominent feature of this location is the Tesla charging stations. There are A LOT of 'em. Also nearby are lots of stores specializing in rocks/gemstones/jewelry, if that's your kind of thing. Great for grabbing a souvenir or gift. :) read more

Great pit stop. Came here to charge the Tesla. Pleasantly surprised how clean the bathroom and inside were. Staff were very friendly and the food came out quickly. Drive through option as well. Only downside is there wasn't any grass for dogs but lots of space to walk them around as long as it's not too hot. read more

I stopped by here on my way home to Phoenix coming from weekend at Coachella. They had a charging station so we charged the care and while that was happening decided to eat at CJ's. I ordered a double CJ burger but I did not feel like it was cooked to order but the burger was adequate. The problem is that they gave me cold fries. I requested for a freshly cooked fries and the elder lady working there on 4:17pm on 4/21/2025 threw a hissy fit before ordering one of her workers to throw in a batch of freshly fried fries. I was totally offended by her attitude so I didn't even wait for the fresh fries. I ate the food that was served and left. Lukily I don't have to stop at this small town anytime soon again. Probably not again in my lifetime. The customer service for this reason is terrible and the that is one aspect of fast food that should always be on point. The restaurant was clean. Had gotten egg sausage grilled cheese and western bacon burger along with French toast meal. Mind blown how the grilled cheese came out completely mind blown. There is really no adequate description for this place other than that upper management should pay a visit to see if this fits their definition of their mission and values. At no fault of the employees, this place like a few other ones along I-10 need an urgent overhaul in their look and feel. The restrooms are appalling and feel like I'm in a manufacturing facility. I've been to better restrooms at truck stops! It's not surprise that the other reviews are very poor and should be a wake up call to the Area and District managers that this franchise location needs to be rectified immediately. How can one location of a chain restaurant be so awful? They kept getting the order wrong just entering it. Then it took a LONG time to make. The restroom was closed due to being out of order. They mumbled something about "nobody wants to fix it." Dunno. So I walked across to a gas station which is actually a bit of a trek, used theirs, came back...and food was still not done! I'm sure no one even looks at these reviews from the shitty Carl's Jr here in hell off the 10 freeway, but IT WILL make me feel better. Let me explain my interaction from start to finish. First, try to use the drive thru and there is a cone blocking the lane. Ok I guess that's closed. First mistake, walk in and think I'm gonna place an order and quickly exit. There are probably a dozen people waiting for food. How long does it take to make food that's already cooked? Obviously 22 minutes. More on that later. Approach the counter after I ask everyone that looks confused if they have ordered since they are as confused as I am, I approach the counter. No one there to take my order for probably 2 minutes. Ok, here comes the ogre with a mop that he tosses to the side and gives me a blank stare out of his cross eye and never says a word. I just start talking, hoping he's gonna hit the keys and place my order. I guess he takes the orders while the lovely lady sweeping the trash in the back area keeps her head on the mound as big as a New Jersey landfill that she's pushing across the floor. Well, I get my order in, well it's placed and paid for I guess. Now for the fun part. We wait, and wait, AND WAIT! People that already looked angry when I walked in are still waiting for their food. They have five people working in the place. I will now list all their jobs since I had 21 minutes to keep track. Employee #1 Cross eyed ogre pushes around a wet mop and rings people up when they may be ready. Cross trained which shows management knows how to run a business. Employee #2 Sweet middle aged woman that kept her head down and pushed the trash pile around the back of house. She also would occasionally scream out a number when employee #3 was occupied with staring at the order screen. 616...616...616.. big carl and a small fry. She obviously doesn't realize that this person placed their order nearly 30 minutes ago, and could be asleep, or dead from a meth overdose. Finally 616 steps up from the dark to claim his prize. His grandson or kidnapped child seems happy he's finally eating. Employee #3 OBVIOUSLY in charge. All he does is stare at the order screen and watch for the food to be tossed down the slide so he can bag it up and rotate 180* and say order number 81645 your order is ready. Sorry for the wait. Do you need ketchup? Obviously a union job since he does his job, and his job only. Employee #4 was the work horse of the bunch. Mid 30s, certainly knows her way around the carls menu. She was the cook, the engineer, the big cheese as Carl Karcher would say. My only problem with her was she was not trained correctly by employee #3, see above. She would make one order from start to finish BEFORE she would begin the next. Not the ideal way to work through a crowd, but that explains the 22 minute wait. Finally the people that were waiting when I order were finally getting their food and leaving with a smile. I knew my time was slowly approaching. I'm not sure where, or how for that matter the burgers were cooked, but the assembly took quite a while. The order before mine was just sold, I'm getting real close. Now I see employee #5 enter the picture form outta nowhere. Her number musta been called. Who is this mysterious lady somewhere between the age of my mother and my grandmother?? Well let me tell you! She is the hand breaded lady. Yes, you heard me right. They say their garbage is hand breaded and they are not kidding. She is shakin and bakin and makin a cloudy mess at that back table with some chicken. I think that looks an awful lot like my HAND BREADED chicken sandwich and I was not wrong. Employee #4 walks over to employee # 5 when she was given the go ahead. She grabbed my hand breaded chicken "piece" and placed it in the bubbly hot oil. At this moment, with her strong arm, she reached in the freezer and counted six frozen jalapeño poppers and mated them with my fried chicken together in the same home. Six minutes later, my golden brown items were removed and properly dressed by the work horse. Down the chute they came. #3 then bagged my two items since #1 obviously didn't hear me order a cheeseburger as well, I went without. 180* rotation, 985709 your order is ready. Excellent service here. A very hard-working crew. Food is always fresh and tasty. The steak and egg breakfast burrito is excellent. Their job is made much harder however due to malfunctioning app and online ordering. ZERO stars they were out of chicken the only thing I get here is the SantaFe chicken sandwich so I got the superstar burger, the meat was cold cheese not even melted. Omg. 3 different people had to return sandwiches due to mold on bread!!!! Hubby's chicken sandwich had over cooked chicken 1/2 the normal size.( like the old "where's the beef commercials!!") Had to ask for Ice Tea due to it not being in the serve yourself fountain area. I got attitude for asking for it. Then the mistake of using women's bathroom. For chits sake clean the dang toilets once in a while. Looked like a old Gas station toilet with stains and crud from at least 3 months.
